Best bromance ever! My favorite characters here are definetly Im Me Ar and Park Min Sook. Meari is the first Koean character I watched that was super clingy but not cringy annoying, Minsook is my kind of cool, tough on the outside but sofie on the inside. Runnerd up are their men, Yoon adn Jungrok.

This drama is quite a surprise for me. For one, I can’t believe I finished 52 episodes WITHOUT getting bored with it or skipping any scenes. Also, I was surprised at how Lee Joon could act so natural. Even better than the veterans. It’s my first time to come across a Lee Joon drama or a Lee Joon anything for that matter, I never even noticed him before, not even when he was a singer. I’ve known Jung So Min since Playful Kiss, but Lee Joon takes the cake here. He is a way better actor even though he started as a singer. Same is true with Lee Yoo Ri. Not only is she gorgeous looking, she acts very well, too. Overall, I truly enjoyed this drama. I was looking for something long to watch (so I don't keep having keep searching what to watch next after each drama), one without too much drama/not plagued with conflicts BUT highly rated and found this. Though I've always been a bit skeptical about high ratings because more often than not, hey just end up to be overhyped/overrated dramas, but not this one luckily.

I tried to watch this because the cast is all good. especially on Kim Hae Sook I definitely love her in any role.…
well, that's one hella long sentence. quite interesting to note that the only punctuation mark used was to abbreviate the word "number".

I was just at episode 1 and already i found myself wanting to drop it because of PMY's role. It's not the most loveable role she's done, and i think she wasn't able to execute it well, either. She comes off to me as trying too hard at being funny, she's just plain over acting in here that it gets annoying. I tried to give it a chance because I was too lazy to look for another drama to watch. I tried to like it, but i just can't seem to. like what happened in the case of Mr. Ahn and the subsequent events thereafter, were so unbecoming of a distinguished curator who's been working for five years in the field. that was just so unprofessional what she did, And the way she acted after that was just too immature and childish for my tase. I have an inkling that those won't be the last "wtf??? moments" in this drama so.. dropping it in the middle of episode 2. Oh, and I don't think KJW is fit for this kind of comedy either. he's acting is so awkward at "funny" scenes.

i see most are complaining about the moral of the story. why? isn't this reality? in the age of the internet and social media, superficiality rules. i think this topic is more realistic than any of those fluffy romantic dramas, or dramas overly plagued with conflicts that people so love to watch.

Awesome! I love smart female leads, but Bae Ta Mi is a level of her own. i just love her clap backs. Just when you thought you'd be left seething in anger at the antagonists, she counters with the smartest burns. Love etttt. And could Park Mo Geon be any sweeter? I'm only at Episode 2 and I'm already fully in love with him. He's such a delight.

mee too. so despite all the comments that said this drama was good, i am soo scared to watch complicated conflicts…
haha, like i said, i stopped at episode 16. you could tell, this was where things start to get complicated for the main characters. i'm sure i could still go on a few more episodes before all the chaos hits, but as i stopped at 16, it's kinda lost it's momentum for me. the story's quite interesting though. if you ever find the courage, i suggest you continue watching it. or watch it sporadically. that's what i'd probably do with it, when i find i ran out of good chinese dramas to watch. i really enjoyed love and destiny, i like nini's role and acting. she does not come accross as annoying even though her role was a not so smart lowly immortal, too. problem is, they stopped subbing at episode 14, so that was put on hold too. so now i'm torn which drama to watch next. the story of ming lan sounds promising, but 73 episodes??? too much commitment required. haha. other choices are young blood and sound of the desert. so, good luck to us in finding our feel good dramas! happy watching! :)

that was it? for such an captivatingly emotional drama, the ending was lacklustre for the main couple. they only finally got together literally only 4+ minutes to the end of the drama. and i still can't get over how KYJ, who "loved" so deeply that she sacrificed her own life for her man, not get their son back. one thing for sure though, this drama made me remember just how hella good of an actor ji sung is.

I read the novel and didn't really like it....I love the added sweet scenes.
Like I said previously, there wasn't much going on in the novel to merit the 41 episodes of the drama. So, naturally, they would add some fluff (or should I say, A LOT) to it. Thinking further, I don't think I still could stand watching it's 41 episodes. I like Li Xian and his role, Han Shang Yan, I like Yang Zi, too, but I don't care much about how they made her role. She's supposed to be the title role but there isn't much about her character in the drama. She's just made to look like this little naive clingy girl, far from the cute computer wiz she's supposed to be. Anyway, I"ve since moved on to finally watching Ashes of love, and now, Love and Destiny. I don' think I'd pick up watching the episodes I left.
On Ashes of Love Jul 31, 2019
Put this on hold at Episode 16; I felt, my heart couldn't take all the stuff that was about to unfold. Haha! I'm no very good at taking conflicts, I usually just watch to relax, so I like the not too overly complicated dramas. Life is complicated enough, right? And all the selfishness, greed, lies and stupidity of these so called immortals has become too much for me. So I took the chance to see what this new drama, Love and Desiny, has to offer. I've always been fascinated with Wuxia; it was like, art, culture and history combined. I also find the fight scenes artistic, like a dance. Plus, the special effects are amazing to me, too. From the get go, I noticed the difference of the two dramas' production, the animation and special effects in Love and Destiny was way better. You could even see the difference by the characters' hair! If only for all that, I'd say, I'm still enjoying watching Love and Destiny at the moment, but I would still wanna pick up watching Ashes of Love again in the future.

Dropped this after episode 34. I compared it too much to the novel that I became so unsatisfied with it. But now it got me thinking if it would have been better for me if I had not read the novel and just enjoyed watching the drama for whateer it was. But I guess it's too late for me now. Too bad though, I really like Li Xian.
I was pleasantly surprised by this drama. Short but sweet. It was just 12 episodes but interestingly, it did not feel rushed or incomplete. Like in the drama, there are a lot comments pointing fingers at who is at fault, but really, different people react differently to circumstances. Everyone just tries to live their lives the way they know how; like how they think is right. We all make mistakes, and we try to deal with them the best we could. Life is a learning process.

And.. I'd like to order me one Ahn Jun Yeong, juseyo! ????

I think they look cute. I haven't started it yet ...so can't say if they give me the feels or not. I seen many…
yeah, the novel wasn't anyting spectacular, but that's the advantage of dramas/movies, they could make it more entertaining, more than making a novel come to life, they could present it like, way beyond our imagination. just in this case, novel or movie, tong nian was supposed to be 10 years younger, and yang zi does not look that much younger than li xian. so that's my main gripe re the drama. oh, and another thing, aside from looks, persnality wise, tong nian in the novel and drama aren't that much similar either.

Yeah, maybe so. but still, she isnt anything like i imagined Tong Nian would look like, based on the novel. Of course, the writers could always tweak the story a bit, but that's the problem with adaptations, you can't help but compare. Nonetheless, as for now, I still plan to keep watching. At least her acting is not annoying. (:

well.. yang zi is somewhat cute, but not young looking cute. at least, not 19 year old type of cute. correct me if i'm wrong, she's supposed to be 19, right? well, i dunno about you bbut yang zi does not look 19 to me. sill watching, though. but i usually dont have the patience for long dramas, and Cdramas are known to have SUPER UNECESSARILY LOOOOONG dramas. so i go from excited, to skipping, to watching the ending, and then dropping it altogether. but we'll see.

already on episode 4, and still i don't feel the chemistry between yang zi and li xian. i don't think yang zi is best suited for the role. i can't even say they look good together, i mean, don't have anything against yang zi, but you know what i mean? they don't look compatible, looks-wise.

What is it with C-dramas and bad haircut heroines? While her friends had somewhat normal hair, Cancan had bad hair from start to finish. What's up with the bowl cut? I noticed, ever since the Meteor Garden fame, this hairstyle has become a staple for dramas of the school genre. Bowl cut hair for the school girl heroine is like the big eyeglasses for the "ugly" heroine. Cliché.
