Dropped this 10 minutes into the first episode. The lead (in this case, the female lead) acting thoughtlessly/stupid/annoying within the first episode is always a deal breaker for me. You may say I'm missing out on a good watch, but that's just the way I judge what drama to watch.

Such a time wasting drama...no logic..But i love the cast ...my rating 8/10 from ??
Finally someone who thinks the same as I do. I started watching it because of the comments and reviews yet it already put me off at Episode 1. I still gave it a go, hoping it would get better, but no. Peoplehere kept talking about character development but all I kept seeing was the FL being a pushover. Like ,everyone's been taking advantage of her and ordering her around and her blindly just following. Yes she gets "better" at her job but realistically, that's not how things go. Everyone who talked about character development, lemme ask you, would you do everything she has done? I'm not a fan of the ML either. TF is that "payback" nonsense? For someone who's portrayed as logical, someone who calculates his every action, he's one dumbass to me. I kept thinking, "Am I watching a web drama???", no offense to web drama writers, I've watched a few good ones but this drama has the writing of an amature. Someone who is not knowledgeable at his chosen topics and hasn't made proper research at it, too. True what you said, everything's illogical, why TF is it rated 8.2??? Even my extremely bored self due to this pandemic quarantine couldn't bare to finish this drama.

Title General's Lady Spoiler
The Female Lead is so annoying and whiny. I wanted to like it I really did but it just pisses me off. The general…
Ikr? I don't know how other viewers could stand the female lead. I barely made it to half of Episode 7. She is enough for me to drop the whole drama. Is she some kind of a psycho or a schizo? She blows hot and cold. Them suddenly in love at Episode 5 is not even believable. There were not even scenes romantic enough or even scenes that the female lead was not annoying up to that point for the General to like her. If I were the general and I had his personality, I would not fall in love with such a bratty female. I really hate dramas where female leads portray such annoying and/or ignorant characters. I really tried liking her for the sake of not looking for another drama to watch (yeah, because I'm that bored) but I just cannot. And based on the spoilers, she does not get any better up until the last few episodes. And I'm only here at Episode7 wanting to shake some sense out of her! Nah, dropping it.

Title Something Just Like This Spoiler
Honestly, I'm only here for Johnny Huang, I dunno any of the other actors. I've only reached Episode 4, and I gotta say, like Duan Ran, I think his dad is being too lenient on Chen Lang. I'm no business expert, but I know enough to say that there is no business owner that would let any Chen Lang get it that easily. A lawsuit would at least suffice. The business world is vicious. And details as such irks me so much that they hinder me from moving on with a drama. Plus with it having 47 episodes for just a modern romance with quite a simple plot.. I dunno.. I might just watch a few episodes, skip a lot of scenes and eventually drop it at some point, just like how I usually do with very long Chinese dramas. Johnny Huang or not, I don't think I have the patience for it.

SKIP THE COMMENT/REVIEWS< JUST WATCH IT!!!! (:

To date, this has got to be the best drama I've watched since quarantine. I was never bored, I barely skipped scenes, there weren't overly annoying characters, I found the pacing smooth sailing and whatever questions I had throughout, I got the answers eventually.

Just one thing, I've read comments (spoilers) prior to watching, and they did really spoil it somewhat for me. Made me impatient for some events to happen immediately. But now having finished it, I think everything unfolded perfectly. A must watch, really.
On Birth of a Beauty Jun 30, 2020
I've always wanted to watch this but never got the chance to till now. And yet, I couldn't bring myself to go past episode 2. Why? Because I couldn't help thinking about the main couple eventually having kids and.. you know.. genetics. That, yes, Sa Ra had an "overhaul" but you cannot change your genetic make up. I'm sure in the story Han Tae Hee, being a doctor, is well aware of this, too, and accepts it but.. well.. I dunno.. but don't get me wrong, I'm not superficial any more than the average Jane. I mean, I'm all for "love" and the "what's inside that counts" and all that, and maybe it's just my medical background that's talking here or I'm just too much of a realist to be watching dramas or I'm just Miss Nitpicker. Haha. So, yeah, all cool.

And also.. It also makes me think that since cosmetic surgery is so prevalent now, I'm sure there are a lot of people getting deceived. Well just imagine someone thinking they found their perfect partner (looks-wise) and thinking they're going to improve their bloodline and all that, only to find out eventually that they were made a fool.

But this is me, getting a head of myself, talking about real life, when this is just a drama. Haha
On I Have a Lover Jun 29, 2020
I'm not so into the heavy and too complicated dramas, and this being a 50 episode drama, it sure has a lot of that. I watched this by scanning through episodes, only choosing scenes with the main leads because I found their story so interesting, but I couldn't bear to watch the whole drama because it was too much for me. It was a spiderweb of characters and conflicts, too much for my weak heart. Haha. If this were only 16 episodes, I might be able to bear it, but like I said, I'm not into overly complicated dramas. Much less in these times when nothing good seems to be happening in this world, for my sanity, I just cannot watch it in full even if you cut the episodes in half.
On I Don't Love You Yet Jun 21, 2020
It's a good story, but I was only able to watch episodes 1-4 and 13-16. It was just too slow and uneventful for me to watch. Yeah, you could say it was quite realistic in that way, but not for a drama to engage you. What made me still watch it, even how little episodes, was the fact that the leads were so good looking. Yeah, that may sound superficial of me but then that's a personal preference.

Review High-end Crush Spoiler
I was so happy to see your review. I also want to write one because I finished the series just yesterday and loved…
Yeah, initially I was planning to mention that, the "discipline" thing. That irked me, the, "just a process she needs to go through at least once", that it was a "rule", and "no matter where you're from, you're bound to go through this" lines. Well, where I come from, we don't have that. Respect begets respect. You earn your place, your stature. Yes, seniority is a thing everywhere but not to that point. This has always been why I think Koreans do and go through a lot of abuse. Their hierarchical culture brings out the worst in them. It becomes a form of abuse that becomes a cycle they could not break.

So, yeah, that and some misogynistic dialogues here and there . But then I thought, oh, that happens everywhere. So, sadly, that passes as realistic.

Another thing, the flashbacks, they tend to be kinda confusing if you're not really paying attention. When I'd be doing something else while watching, I'd be confused, sometimes thinking I rewind it accidentally.

But overall, it was a breeze to watch. Short and fast paced, no fuss. Just concentrate on JIW's acting and not get too nit picky, then you'd enjoy the drama thoroughly.
On Lucky's First Love May 8, 2020
This drama reminded me so much of the Korean drama, Go Ho's Starry Night. The main leads' boss-employee relationship, interactions and even the acting's similar, especially the lead actress'. Only difference is, Go Ho's story was cuter and "straight to the point". It only being a 20 min-20ep drama, and no annoying characters, it was so much more pleasant to watch compared to Lucky's slow pacing, not much going on in every episode, overly annoyingly selfish characters. It was a struggle for me to reach episode 9. Eventually, i succumbed to the boredom by mid episode 10 and finally dropped it.. Usually, C-dramas go downhill after the mid-mark, but this, not even at the half mark and I'm done with it. Not even the Covid-19 lockdown boredom could make me continue watching it.
On Girlfriend May 4, 2020
Title Girlfriend
Started watching this even when I knew it was an ongoing drama (which I usually avoided because I hate having to wait for the next episodes) but I did so anyways because I found the story and the leads engaging enough. While waiting, I started (and finished) watching Skate into Love and still I'm just at Episode 17 and waiting again.

Today, I decided to read comments and especially spoilers as I'm always interested to know ahead what I'm waiting for. I wouldn't wanna waste time waiting for something that turns out to be a downer. And from the comments, We are forewarned of the pending downturn of this initially promising drama. Such a pity, I'd say. Why do C-dramas always do that? Like, don't screenwriters and producers read online/viewers' comments??? Why keep making too long a drama that start good but almost always ends up to be a disappointment? Why not just make them a 20 episode dramas? Or better yet, keep them however long you want them but for pete's sake try to keep the stories entertainingly good til the end.

From what I read that's going to happen, I now can't help but start to compare Girlfriend and Skate into Love. In SIL, though they were still supposed to be students, the characters were quite mature in their thoughts, decisions and actions (unusual for C-dramas). But this.. Well I guess you can really never take the cliche out of C-dramas, it's their forte.

EDIT:

I really hate it when dramas start out fun and interesting but then the leads turn fickle, irresolute, unfair, weak, unfaithful, pushover, blind or just plain dumb. Not to mention that ever so overused “noble idiocy” thing or whatever they call it. I found some un-subbed episodes and scanned through them, and boy were the spoilers right. My eyes hurt from all the eye rolling I did, and that’s just by scanning, mind you. Given also the fact that I didn’t even understand what they were saying and still got that reaction out of me, I don’t think I’d bother waiting for YT’s next subbed episodes. Sorry but I cannot, I just cannot for the life of me understand why C-drama screenwriters think they have to pack their dramas with cliches to make it great. It’s so rare to find a long (which is the usual for them) C-drama that engages me til the very end, one that does not make me skip any scenes or episodes. It appears that C-drama writers aren’t that imaginative and innovative, no? Needless to say, I'm dropping this. (This just occurred to me, long C-dramas are almost always good up to the 20th episode, then I guess they run out of ideas or more like, they get stupid ideas to add to the story and it's off to a downward spiral after that.)
On A Girl & Three Sweethearts Apr 11, 2020
Been watching J-dramas for a couple of decades now and I could say, acting and story-wise, nothing's changed much. I know the Japanese have, as they say, "big expressions" but it makes me wonder if in real life they also act like how they do in dramas and movies. Very animated. If not, then why do they like watching such acting? Because for a non-Japanese, this way of acting is so "un-natural". I've been to Japan only once and had pretty much the most minimum personal interaction with the locals so I couldn't really compare. Oftentimes, in my travels, people watching on public transport is a good way for me to observe locals, but as the Japanese mostly like to stay quiet in those, obviously that's a no go. So, anyone knows? Any Japanese who would like to enlighten me?
On Ano ko no, Toriko Apr 10, 2020
Why are Japanese movies/dramas so cheesy? Not to mention the robotic acting. I thought this was an old movie, but then I looked it up after watching (he start and ending only because.. i cannot.. i just cannot) it and learned it was fairly recent. So.. all these time, nothing changed much for Japanese movies/dramas, eh?
On Suspicious Partner Apr 1, 2020
I dunno where writers get the idea that this so called "noble idiocy" is good in dramas. It's not. We hate it. Why? Because realistically, humans aren't like that. We want to have someone with us through our touch times, preferably the most important person for us. We want the one we like to accept us despite our flaws, and we fight for that. So, this "noble idiocy" is really unappealing. It's been done so many times and it's gotten stale already. Writers should think of new and better twists in their dramas.
On Coffee & Vanilla Mar 28, 2020
Mangas shouldn't be made into movies, or else, they end up being too over the top. I was alternately rolling my eyes and having this incredulous look (which I'm quite sure gave me wrinkles) on my face throughout the drama. Due to the Covid lockdown, I went on and finished the drama anyways.
I love this show except for Kim Gu Ra who is so annoying. He frequently gets so disrespectful to guests. The show starts with the hosts saying, "Women viewed from a man's perspective. Men viewed from a women's persective'", but you rarely see the guests having significant input. It's all about he host's comments, which oftentimes is making fun of the guests which could get overboard. Episodes I really hated Kim Gu Ra for were ones with Noh Sa Yeon, he was so rude to her. He kept insulting her every chance he could get. Really, the show could get by without him, IMO. I don't think he does anything for the show anyway.

Annoying. Simply annoying. From start to finish they had to make it annoying. The first scene was a red flag I tried best to ignore. I should have listened to my instincts and dropped it at minute 4.

Why is it so common for Chinese dramas to have good looking male leads and average looking female leads? Yeah, I know it's because of their reasoning that it's so that the average girls could relate (Hu Yi Tian even said so in his audio tape scandal), but I hope they also realize that it's been done tons of times before and it's getting stale already. I mean, there are people, too, who know how to separate real life from dramas, and that some like watching good looking actors because it's pleasant to the eyes.
On Radio Romance Dec 24, 2019
It would have been enough for me if this drama just concentrated on the radio workscene and the main leads, with Lee Kang and the doctor friend or maybe with a dash of Geu Rim's mom. Their interactions were entertaining enough with all the banters and childishness. But no, they had to add some drama which to me was too extreme for such a story. As it happened, I had to skip all the scenes with Tae Ri and Soo Ho's mom because every scene was just blood curling.
On Your House Helper Dec 5, 2019
I just found this on Youtube, after watching long dramas consecutively I thought, a nice little romcom would should be next. And anything Ha Suk Jin is always welcome! I think I could even stomach a bad Ha Suk Jin drama, I'd just have to focus on him and nothing else. But tell me, why is Ha Suk Jin such a swoon??? I find it amazing that he lost weight and yet he looked younger because of it. Usually, people who lost a considerable amount of weight would look somewhat gaunt.
