If anyone's disappointed in Sung Hoon's character in this drama, just watch My Secret Romance (also on Netflix)!…
I am hoping there is alot more to his character as else wondering why he would pick this role. Comes across cowardly and so two-dimensional; doesnt care how this is impacting her and has gall to sleep and eat "like a baby". And to show her the ultrasound picture is so trashy. How he is currently portrayed would not help his image so there must be more; I hope? Mind you he just came out of a really lame drama "Level Up" so may be trying other genres so not typecast as loving rich male.
I really shouldnt watch this but have read comments this should be taken as a black comedy (fart reference, step-mom dancing) which is hard for me as cheating is a trigger for me.

On Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) Feb 4, 2021
There are two posters on Soompi showing the three girls are definately the mistresses. So much for gay relationship for oldest husband my take no relationship for middle and the youngest. I guess this is strictly a drama about cheating and divorce. Cant watch this!

not all man are trash oh btw since we are on this topic girls can be very dangerous these days too a girl can…
I agree; Cdramas and Jdramas are full of wandering husbands and boyfriends. Would like to see more FLs that are strong, independent and fierce.

Why do I think there's something else going on with the lawyer husband. I don't think he's actually cheating.
I am with you. I think it may be I am rooting for the couple though all signs are he has fallen out of love with her. So sad.

I am watching the 2021 version which is still airing. Just rewatched this one and there is no comparison. Acting and script are top notch in 2019 especially FL with nuance of facial expressions.

FL in 2021 version comes across as a doormat and just isnt pulling it off. Find the ML character unlikable with his push/pull, ghosting and non-communication. I do have to remind myself that they are portraying young inexperienced characters. As a mama to three girls I just want to give the FL and her roommate a shake and telling both to have some self respect...shouldnt be chasing these immature boys. But hey, this is make-believe!

VIP wrecked me.
Me too. I was obsessed with that drama. Nothing but Thirty and Goodbye, my Love as cdramas and similar storyline; strong woman and weak man.

Title To Dear Myself Spoiler
Gave a scathing review on this drama but do want to say that as a newcomer to asian dramas especially C-Dramas I did get a glimpse of family dynamics and the struggle of moving to a big city in China with dreams of being successsful. Also there was messaging around "quick money" versus long term sustainable investment. With the recent exponential economic growth in China, I can see this was intentional messaging.
Netflix, Dramacool and YouTube have given all of us an opportunity to "see", through film, life and lives in other countries and societies. I appreciate this as have been cocooned in the North American/European entertainment formula my whole life.
I did notice that the when I would "google translate" the comments left in madarin? that many supported and admired Ziru whereas when I read english written comments when the subbed episode dropped many despised her morals and actions. I am really curious as to why the difference. My biggest disappointment was that the Yiming character stayed by Ziru at the end..it made no sense to me as she was so amoral and conniving; not honest in her actions. Though her true feelings did slip she manipulated people and events in order to get Yiming for herself.. I felt YM should have remained alone at the end of this drama.
