SML deserves sooooooo much better. They are gonna keep him like this until the last episode? It's so cruel. To…
Rn it feels like she is clingy bc that’s the only way she knows how to be, is the way she dates I guess. She is cringe but it doesn’t feel like she actually likes him. It does seem one sided, like he likes her more and he lies to her all the time… which is kinda pathetic and icky. like he was suppose to be all cool with relationships but he needs to lie to get this girl to date him?
Sojin doesn’t really date people, she dates the idea of them based on their DNA. I guess all her daddy and mommy issues make her avoid actually engaging without a preconceived notion and a plan. The annoying thing is that she still kinda the same and we are on episode 10. I wanna see growth 😭I want to see development 😭 At this point I don’t really know what is going to happen but not in a good way.
"He undergoes a sex reassignment surgery which completely transforms him into a gorgeous woman"I believe sex isn't…
What is sex? Is it the physical expression of our chromosomes? and if so, did you know that not long ago doctors used to randomly assign a sex to intersex babies? and if the task was to difficult they performed surgeries to “strengthen” one sex over the other with the excuse to avoid “gender confusion”? I recommend the documentary Intersexion. It’s a very insightful film. People are what they are. Who are we to judge?
I’m gonna miss this. Major bingefest, I don’t know how folks wait to watch as its releasing week by week.…
I’m usually like you, love binge watching. BUT the quality was so good I made the sacrifice to weakly watch it and what a treat! Now I’m feeling a little empty, like something is missing on my routine.
SPOILER ALERT This drama was entertaining. But I don't know if it's my imagination or some scenes with children…
lol I felt it to. I’m not sure what is it but I definitely felt a shift towards the portrayal of marriage and asked myself the same question as you. I loved the second couples family dynamics, it just saddens me a little bit to realize how the political landscape of a country and market studies highly influence the content creation.
a great actor and of course a great son! I don't know why say his recent works were failures tho - lovestruck…
I think Melting Me Softly and Backstreet Rookie stressed him out? The first for not performing as well as expected as his comeback to the industry and the second for all the controversies around it. I just watched If You Wish Upon Me and is fantastic, I have no idea how I didn’t know about it before.
final thoughts: great potential but horrible editing. there were so many scenes that felt dragged on, I’ll be honest at some point I started watching it on 2x speed and it felt normal. Still the show felt rushed and like there were so much that was not shown?
That short hair wig on the first half was really bad, they could have allocated more budget for that. The secondary couple stole the show. At some point the main leads have great performances separated but as soon as they are together it’s over, I think the directing might have interfered with their chemistry? because they were great in F4, don’t understand what happened
End of Ep 15 - I actually liked the final scene. I enjoyed most of the action in the episode, those moments were the strongest emotionally. I didn’t love the main leads lack of communication. But I liked how there were a couple of scenes that showed how they are together as much as the secondary couple but they just have a different dynamic. And finally I don’t love the idea of a coma. That’s just not necessary. He protected his dad and got an injury that made him pass out, that could be all.
Seo Tae Pyeong to Yang Hui: "Do you know what the difference is between you and Ji Hwan? You always take and steal…
Such a good quote! And now I think it’s a bit of foreshadowing, will Ji Hwan sacrifice convince his Dad to give him his freedom?
I thought the scene when Ji Hwan beats up Yang-hee and looses control was really telling, it was like we got to see a glimpse of who he was when he was manipulated by his Dad. He may not have been a real thug deep down but he was in fact one and you are right, it’s implied multiple times that he did horrible things. I would also love to see more of his back story, actually everybody’s. I imagine he never really was 100% with his Dad, from the flashbacks we can see his young version also resists fighting before giving in. So I think he acted as a loyal soldier for a couple of years, became stronger and inspired loyalty and then striked his Dad when opportunity came.
Hmm.2ML getting hurt for FL.ML getting hurt for his Father.Which is more emotional one?.Literally in Ep 15, 2ML…
Definitely ML saving his father. And I get where you are coming from but since the beginning the FL is not a fighter (in the literal sense). 2ML getting hurt for her does feel a little bit much, maybe it should have been Dong Hee?
But I do think it was refreshing to see her helping the way she could by bringing employee morale up.
I honestly loved it all, I just wished we had more time with some of the main characters, I get that is hard to…
How do we think Ah-yi survived? Did she survive? I think they hinted it first when Yeong-Su (on his monster form) covered her wounds and then again at the ending when we see Yeong-Su again back in his human form with a line mark on his arm like Ah-yi's right beside a girl with her back to us with long hair and white dress. Like wtf happened? Did Ah-yi survive and kept growing up fast? and then Yeong-Su changed back to human or is he now a different type of monster? Or did they survived together in one body? SO MANY QUESTIONS. And then I guess most people think Lee Eun-Yu became Neo-human like Lee Eun-Hyeok cuz she shows up "normal," again and I quite liked their trio final scene but before that I wished we had seen her transition, if she became neo human I wanted to see Cha Hyun-Su teaching her about emotions and how the dynamics of their relationship changed and I wanted to see what kind of monster she became before turning Neo-human, if she fought against it. I felt like they finished the main story and wrap it up well but still there were so much more interesting stories left to tell within the main characters. On the other hand I quite liked Jung Ye-Seul and Ha-Ni final scenes, I love they found each other. I did not expect Jung Ye-Seul would get the guy.
I honestly loved it all, I just wished we had more time with some of the main characters, I get that is hard to connect with characters that showed up only on season 2 or just this season. The last 30 minutes were unsatisfying, it was a good ending but too little, too fast. On that note I wanted to talk about the ending so I'll be making comments with spoilers on the replies to this.
