I don’t understand the relationship between the princess and Shen Yurong? Are they lovers with abuse? She treats him like shit. How did he end up with her or be seduced by her? When did he start cheating on his wife? He looks like a good guy at one point and sweet to the wife. Then turn cruel all of sudden? I have not read the novel. Can someone help me with tis?

Why is everyone against the ML and FL relationship? They aren’t related, plus she is an immortal and he is a human. Regardless, they will always have a big age gap. This can be treated as mentor/mentee, or teacher/disciple as he is learning his magic alongside her. This is like the relationship in another show, The return of Condor Hero, love between Xiaolongnu and Yang Guo. Nothing like mother/son relationship. For now, they respect each other and supportive of one another. Who knows how the story will develop in the future. Give it time and this show a chance, people .
