Oh, there also one episode in Flower Boy Next Door where the lights go down and they all open the doors to the corridor using the flashlight from their mobiles. I though that was genious: "See, our mobiles can be used for so many things!!" :p I can't remember which was the brand actually, but I bet it was Samsung. xD
But yes, the thing that bugs me more is when all the characters have the same mobile. Like in A Gentleman's dignity. That mobile was so damm huge it was impossible not to notice it. They normally would even use it in their hands because it did not fit in their pockets. xD
And an example where it is really well used is, for me, in Queen In Hyun's Man. The mobile phone there is just a really important part of the story that you kind of start idolizing it. :p

Very interesting article. I enjoyed reading it :) The term 'Flowerboy' is fairly new to me as I have only encountered…
Not for flower boys, but it was unthinkable 10 or 15 years ago for a man to use make-up or to shave his legs. Men had to be manly, now it's more varied. Or maybe it's just that here to Portugal that wide range of types has just know being noticed. :/

I have to agree with you in that. I'm still into the western culture of mainly boys so. xD But even in the west I think it is changing right? Here we don't idolize the 'macho latino' anymore anyway. I think it's good not to flowerish not to manly-rude. xD

The main reason why I haven't decided to give this drama a try is the number of episodes. Ok, it may be a stupid…
I normally wait for the dramas to end or at least be close to end, so that's why I said it would be a lot of time. xD I can't wait for the next ep if the drama is appealing to me so I there are very few exception that i've wacthed a still airing drama. :p I'll add it to PTWL. : )

The main reason why I haven't decided to give this drama a try is the number of episodes. Ok, it may be a stupid reason but it's just that sometimes I'm really afraid of the story moving slowly and unnecessary scenes just to fill time. I don't think I would want to wait 8 episodes to feel like the story interests me. I mean, if it was a jdrama, by the 8th episode we would already be reaching the climax! xD But I have to agree with you, the cast is totally inviting. And you have to watch King2Heart - Jo Jung Suk is totally brilliant there, and definitely shows some great acting skills.
Maybe I'll leave this for the holidays, when I don't have much to do. Because now I need some drama to get me from the studying routine, a 50th drama, if I liked it, would totally steal my studying time, and I need to pass my exams right? xD
I can't comment on the characters cause I haven't watched it yet. :p

Yes, I think they would mean the same thing yes. But I think that idea has evolved so probably flower boys today are more flowerish than they were even just 5 years ago. For example, Johnny's idols are the Japanese prototype of flower boy IMO but some years ago, while still being so, they were not so much as today. Simply compare idols like KimuTaku and Yamada Ryosuke for example.

As much as I love flower boys dramas I have to say I'm still pretty much in the western world. xD I mean, of course I'd like a boy to be gentle and caring, but that does not mean he has to be a flower boy right? So yeah, masculine looks totally win over for me. xD

Thanks for the suggestions! My girlfriend is an agent reminds me of Mr and Mrs Smith, but more fun! I'll add it to my TWL! : ) And Youkame no Semi also seems like a good movie to watch, but just not for this time when all I need is a break from studying and working. Maybe for a later time. :3 Oh, I see that it was a prequel as a drama, do we need to watch it first or the movie is fine by itself?
gooheajung Apr 17, 2013
Yes, I had already noticed that. And in Jdramas too actually. Oh, and there's this song Toilet no Kamisama by Kana Uemura that is really sweet but who would ever write a song about a toilet? >_< But that Toilet theme park! That's hilarious! And they even have a Golden poop arts festival! xD
Mirichan Apr 14, 2013
I find him really cute and a great actor, but it looks that I still have many dramas to watch from him. : )
Thanks for the guide!
btw, could somebody make a KimuTaku stalker's guide? I've read many people say wonders about him but I didn't know where to start from. :/ I'm currently watching Pride and loving it! >_<

A gentlemen's dignitiy and QIHM should definitely be high in the list. If you point them I'll have nothing agains…
What set me away with Salaryman was the politics. :/ And maybe also the fact that I'm more used to Japanese comedy style xD

A gentlemen's dignitiy and QIHM should definitely be high in the list. If you point them I'll have nothing agains the list. xD I can't say much about this dramas since I've only wathced King 2 Hearts, but I might actually consider Nice Guy, it looks nice. : )

"I was really afraid of the sad love story" true xD It has been on my "to watch list" probably for as long as I've started watching dramas but I just haven't gathered the courage yet. Shame on me.
I have to say I totally agree with your 1st places in the Jdrama and Kdrama categories. (haven't watched any Tdramas). Though I could come up with other great chemestry couples like Hotaru no Hikari, Koizora (the drama), Love Shuffle or Personal Taste for example. : )

LOl thanks. xD
I found that accidentally but yes, they should consider this as the future for kdramas. :p

here, this is how it should have ended. :p
But I would like to see it from the beginning of the scene to end, actually. :p

I have to agree with you, Lee Seung Gi sure knows how to kiss, and I totally replayed that kiss over and over again.
As for QIHM it was the first and only kdrama I rewatched and the sweet and romantic scenes between the leads who had such amazing chemestry was probably the big reason, however, the tip-toe kiss is definitely my fav. But if we're talking about passionately then yes, it has to be the last kiss, especially the extended version of the kiss which is not the one in the drama, you should check it if you have not yet. :p

I have to say that when you're a beginner in the asian world everyone seems like a doppelganger. xD But although…
That's why I was really 'mad' when B.A.P. debuted. I was like "I really like your music so why do you all have to be blond to make it hard for me to differentiate you?!" xD
