I’m so confused?‍?

This drama felt like a whiplash especially towards the ending and also the ending itself.

The whole time we were following the story of the FL, how she kept searching for a way to go back to her original world. But at the end, oh my god, the ending was… crazy? I don’t know how to explain this but it was disappointing. Was she able to go back to her world because she finished the story? There is no explanation about that because after everything ended on the ‘book’ world, she only felt dizzy and then after that she woke up in her own world. What the hell happened? My biggest question is: what happened to ML and FL? Their relationship, to be specific. The ending did not explain that as well and they just brush it off.

I don’t know. I hate the ending, but it is also kinda relatable (to an extent of course). Let me explain. It’s like when you dream about something fun but when you wake up, it’s done. No attachments. Kinda like watching a movie or dramas as well.

Do watch this drama if you’re bored or want to watch something light.

Kinda bad

I mean, I kinda expect that it will not be that good because of the number of episodes and the duration for each eps. And I was right.

Here are some of the points I want to mention:
1. The plot is like those cheese blocks with many holes in it. Too many unexplained elements and felt super rushed. Then again I get that because there’s only 14 episodes. It’s waaayy shorter than your usual mini dramas.
2. ML and FL’s interaction is cute. But again, still feel so rushed. They got married after what only feels like days.
3. The villain is practically non-existent but in a bad way. Don’t get me wrong, there are still villains. But I feel like the villain does not serve any purpose to the story at all. What happened to them at the end? Literally nothing. No conclusion, no the usual satisfying endings for villains, and so on.
3. The ending is so rushed and just weird. I mean it’s the typical ending that you would see in transmigration dramas, but this one feels… I don’t know. Feels kinda empty, perhaps? The FL just woke up like nothing happens and live on with her life. But if I think about it more, I guess that ending does make sense. You woke up from a crazy dream and what do you do about it? Nothing, right?

So overall, I’m giving this drama a low score. If you have nothing to do, I guess give it a try?

Um.. What did I just watched?

I just finished watching the drama and I am left with shock. The ending was super abrupt, I thought I miscounted the number of episodes but no. Maybe this drama was discontinued? Because on the last episode, the characters were about to jump into another story plot.

Next, the acting. I may be wrong, but most of the characters’ acting is a bit flat, which is kinda disappointing. The story also felt VERY rushed, but oh well I get it. Each episode is only about 2 minutes long and there’s only 25 episodes total.

The only likeable element for me is the FL. I think her acting is the best and her character is the cutest. The FL and ML’s chemistry is also not that bad, so it’s pretty enjoyable only in these moments.

Cute and funny

Everything about this drama is super fun. The characters, the storyline, the comedy elements, the editing, and so on. It was super funny and interesting, which made me keep watching. My favorite scene is where the underling of the villain is fighting with yueying, and instead of showing the fight scenes the underling tells you that because they don’t have a stuntmen, he will tell you what happened verbally. I cracked laughing. I really REALLY love the slapstick comedy on this drama.

The only problem I have is the length of the drama. It’s too short :(. I think if it’s slightly longer, they could’ve make everything more in depth.

Not bad

I love the characters on this one, especially the FL and ML. The FL is money-driven and I weirdly love that. She is smart, not just her medicine skills but also her business skills and her building skills. This girl do everything at this point and I love that from her. The ML is an odd and funny person which makes their chemistry really good. I looveee the trope 💯💯

However, the drama do felt rushed especially towards the ending. I think there are some plots that remain unexplained so it was kinda confusing. There are also scenes that I think was deleted halfway? It felt like I accidentally skipped an episode but I wasn’t. The villain is… typical. Nothing new.

So… yeah. Overall, the drama is pretty good. I think if you’re trying to find a simple drama, go ahead and try this one.

It was fun!

First half of the drama was soooo fun. I smile and giggle like an idiot, shrieking happily at 1 AM in the morning, kicking my feet, and super focused on the story. The plot is interesting and pretty refreshing. I love the whole ‘need-to-feed-a-dangerous-cold-guy-something-that-he-doesn’t-want-to-drink’ thing. aaaa it’s so cute. And, oh my god, the second couple. I cried because of them. That’s all I have to say about it.

Now. I don’t know why, I really don’t like the second half of the drama. I think it’s because of the focus change? The focus becomes about the villain and I personally think the villains in this drama is a bit… odd. I don’t know. It’s giving ‘lacking’.

On the second half of the drama is also where I started to realize how useless the FL was to the point that it was exhausting (and annoying) to watch her😅. I may be wrong, but I notice that even from the first episode, she hasn’t done anything satisfying. She kept getting in trouble so the ML has to save her EVERYTIME, she lets the villain guy go away (literally whyyy would you do that). I don’t know maybe I’m just being picky and annoying about it. Or maybe I watch too much dramas where the FL is a literal badass😬.

But aside from that, everything else is great. Sooo I’m giving a high score for this one.

Wait I lowkey like this drama

The story line is a bit confusing, yes.

Basically, the story is told in 2 timelines; the ancient times and the modern times. They don’t really specify what actually happened here, about why they told the story in 2 different timelines, and what the connection is. Which is why I love this drama because it really makes you wonder. I’ve seen a lot of people’s theories about what the connection is, and I have my own.

I love the message that they’re trying to tell at the end. Both timelines ended with sadness, which gave me that punched-in-the-gut feeling of reality — how they’re maybe just not fated to be together at the end, even after everything they’ve been through, even after 2 timelines. That sucks😭.

Nothing else much to say about the drama because I think everything else is perfect.

Weird…

Okay. This drama is not the best, definitely, and let me tell you why.

The comedy is super cheesy. With cheesy falls, cheesy punches, cheesy effects, etc. Though for me this thing is not that bad. It’s still cute and funny. Next, is the FL and ML’s love journey. I don’t feel a thing🙂. Yes, they do have romantic scenes, but it just didn’t register in my head and their romantic scenes looked more like a brother-sister bicker. Their chemistry feels like siblings-chemistry, not romantic love chemistry. However! That do resonate with the ending.

I love the ending. He didn’t take it too seriously and seemed like he cried because the ending is bad, not because he actually fell in love with her. You know, like how we cry after a sad ending type thing— We cry because the ending is sad, but have no attachments with the characters.

So yeah. The acting is good, hanfus are okay, story-wise… a bit simple to my liking but it’s still acceptable, cinematography is okay.

I give an overall score 5/10. It’s average— not bad but also not that good.

Really good

I. Love. It.

I have been watching mini dramas for the past month because I’m taking a break from those 40-episode-long dramas. The past mini dramas were mostly mid, some even flopped. But this one is ✨gold✨.

Okay, let me explain. Although yes, it’s still far from perfect (thus I am only giving it an overall score of 9/10). For example, the plot. Honestly it is not that bad. But I got really confused with Act 3, when ML explains how he’s going to sacrifice himself. And also when he suddenly just pop out of nowhere after being ‘dead’ for one year. The man just appeared and give us the reason why he is brought back to live just by his own words. No scenes, nothing. I get it tho. The drama will take more time and more budget to do that😅.

Buttt the romance is romancing. And I love that teehee😙. The whole intertwined fate thing which forces ML to always save her, the jealousy, the part where ML suddenly forgets about her. I love every single thing about it.

So yeah. Definitely watch it if you haven’t

Really good at first but flops at the end

The story is pretty similar with my favorite drama— the double. The FLs both were killed by their husbands, are married, the MLs both use fans, both storys involve revenge, and so on. That’s why I have really big expectations for this drama.

Act 1 was really fun. The love-hate relationship between the two characters are not unique but is still fun to watch. Then it develops into a cute bickering type relationship. Cute. Love it.

Then the beginning of Act 2 is still really fun, but as the story progresses from then on, it became a bit boring? IMO.

Act 3 is just.. disappointing. I was so fricking bored and literally skipped episode 29,30, and 31, and speed through episode 32. It was suddenly hella boring, I think after the point where the grandma died. After that scene, everything kinda fell apart and I just skip skip skip hahaha.

Definitely not worth rewatching. But my overall score is 6 which is still pretty high, and that’s because I appreciate the first half of the drama. That’s all. Thank you for reading :)

Fun but a bit confusing for me

The story is actually really fun, but there are things that I don’t understand, like what is the virtual world thing? Is it a game? What is it for? Either they have explained it in the beginning and I just didn’t pay attention, or they actually did not state why this virtual world even exist. I also think that there are plot holes, for example the ending. If the guy at the end is him, how is he alive? Don’t they need the transportation ticket to get back? The CGI is meh but honestly I don’t really care.

However, there are also a lot of things that I like about this drama. First of all, it’s the color grading and cinematography. It’s so beautifully done. I do also appreciate that they wore pretty hanfus and not a tacky or cheap-looking hanfus. And I do love me some good obsessed MLs sooo yeah😋.

I have a bone to pick with this movie

Honestly this movie is not that bad. I get that they are trying to make something different because usually with these plots the ghost is the good person and the people they want to seek revenge on is the bad people. They are trying to change that and I do like that uniqueness. But personally, still kinda hate the plot because the good guys are dead and the bad guys live :').

I think this is the type of movie that you can watch at night and not be scared. The scares are alright; not that scary and the jumpscares are kind of cheap. But also not that bad as there are scares that I think are unique and creative. Overall, I give this movie a 7/10.

So cute, so fun

For a mini drama, I think the plot is pretty strong and really fun. I'm going to list the things I notice from this drama and whether I like or dislike it.
- The cat concept. I really really like it because they did some romantic scenes with it (Like when she wants to pet him. This was the cutest thing ever aaa). But it was really a shame because they didn't put many scenes with him acting like a cat. I understand why tho. I think it's because he is not really a demon cat? And probably also because the drama's concept does not focus on that element.
- The villains. LOVE. IT. Whether it's the ancient demon or the evil cultivator woman (I'm sorry I forgot her name T.T), they have a strong and clear motive to be evil. Especially the ancient demon. His story is highkey sad to the point where I couldn't really hate him. He just wants to be with his lover T.T
- The ending. I don't know what to feel about it. I really thought this drama will give me a happy ending, but no. It's not :"). The ending do make sense tho so can't hate it that much.

Overall, I give this drama a 8.5.
