Title Are You the One Spoiler
Is Liu Mian Tang actually Lu Wen? There seems to be no casting for Lu Wen and when he thinks of his hand wound,…
yes

Title I Know I Love You Spoiler
was the plot with the ex wife dragged or did it end it quickly ?
The ex-wife was pretty minor, though the plotline went on for about 5-6 episodes. She actually helped bridged some communication gaps b/t the ML/FL in the end, so it was worth it.

I hate indecisive people and the FL is just tooo indecisive. I get her point but eeeh its too much… I love you…
I think b/c the pacing is much faster in IKILY? The vibe in OSN can feel suffocating at times, though artistically done.

😲OMG.... it's K-drama One Spring Night... At 1st I thought it had vibe of OSN... then maybe scriptwriter &…
IKILY payed homage to OSN in a subtle way in the drama. In the floral shop of the FL, there is a pink poster/painting that she likes to stare at, which has the words 春夜, the Chinese title for OSN, camouflaged in the picture.

Hahahaha. Totally get it, though I don't think it's an issue exclusive to CDramas. Personally, I have enjoyed the 1st half and just FF-ing through the 2nd half so I can get resolution on the characters/story, and the ML/FL is pretty cute together.

It's super release tomorrow, so one can purchase the additional episodes on Tencent. Not sure if that means the episodes will be available on other platforms though.

Well...it's not that the ML has no spine. He has plenty when it comes to the 2ML. It's more baggage from his past, and poor editing in the trailers. The trailers have been updated b/c the fans were furious, and it looks a lot better now. 😮‍💨😂

Guys, how is this? I've been wanting to watch this but seeing your comments, is it too bad?
The first part was good, but the 2nd half gets a bit draggy with all the family/past baggage plot lines. I'd recommend waiting for all episodes to release (should be tomorrow) and use the FF-button when needed. =)

Title I Know I Love You Spoiler
Have you seen his other works? He's definitely an up-and-rising actor, with an interesting repertoire behind him.
The character played by Zhang Wanyi doesn't get the girl in the end for Lost You Forever, if that's an important thing for you, but the character itself is complex and moving, and his performance is great there.

If not, he has two dramas upcoming later this year in the period idol drama genre, and he's definitely the endgame with the girl.

She still here by preview up ep 22 but i don't understand the last preview lol
The C-fans are complaining too, since in the actual show, the ex-wife shows up for like 2 min, but based on the previews, she seem to take up most of the storyline.

I like it until ep 15. The ML's behavior about his ex-wife is too wishy-washy for my liking. I hope their story…
I think this is supposed to be his "lesson learned" since the ML can't seem to say no and have boundary issues. =/ I'm just hoping they resolve this quickly and don't drag it out. The 2nd half of OSN is also mostly dealing with family issues and baggages, so both shows struggle with the same drag in the 2nd half.

where to watch this on official platform??
Do you need subs? If yes, Dramabox on Youtube. If no, then Tencent.

Yup, it's the Chinese remake of OSN. But the character set-up is pretty different, so I'd recommend watching IKILY with a fresh lens, instead of as an OSN remake.

It's the Chinese adaptation of One Spring Night, but there are enough changes to the characters and story that it's almost a fresh story with the same set-up. This version is faster paced and not as dark.

Hmm your analyse is interesting. Someone mentionned that the quality of acting in the c drama version is not as…
This is my response to that comment, and I'll repost it here.

"I'm wondering if some of the nuances are lost in translation? I actually like ZWY better here than in Fantastic Doctor, as he's doing a great job with the subtleties of his character.

It'd probably be best to take the K- and C-version of the ML as two separate characters, as Zhao Jin is darker, more intentional, and even calculative. He's got a sharp tongue and a deadpan sense of humor, and seem smore jaded in general. The K-version came across to me more as a lovelorn puppy beaten by the trials of life, and while he's warm and sweet, he's also sensitive and diffident, almost self-deprecating at times. On the other hand, the C-ML can be a bit thorny but also uncharacteristically confident, and I'm curious to see if he has a darker backstory, and whether that confidence is a cover and defense mechanism. The K-ML seems more battered, whereas the C-ML seems more jaded.

I actually find the differences in the K- and C-performances very interesting, as the exact same line in the K-version seem almost self-deprecating, whereas the C-version has more of an pointed sarcasm."

I know Chinese fluently, so I've been watching straight from Tencent. There are some posts for subbed versions here. Have you had any luck with them so far?

The ending OST is Julie by The Brownie Band. Beautiful OST! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-G12aazZf8
Just a fun fact. The album cover for Julie has been ZWY's weibo avatar for years now. He probably recommended the band to the production team, and it's a seamless fit. Loe that the Brownie Band is getting more recognition.
