You're spreading misinformation. "Pedophilia" is attraction to pre-pubescent children, the relationship in question…
sorry, could you explain more on this? in the original source, the romance was between deukpal (in yiheon's body) and sekyung? were there any existing romance between the original yiheon and sekyung before the accident?

Seeing Yiheon adapt to his new life would be a good idea, though I think it's definitely not what this drama is essentially about. Throughout the show, we never really see him take control after the accident. He would show up to Deukpal but never share his wish or resolution on how he would tackle the problems himself. However, the one time he DID was at the end. Yiheon's choice not to come back was definitely aligned with how some people with depression are. Depression doesn't go away easily, and they definitely showed it in this drama. That's why Yiheon (even after seeing how his circumstances changed) chose not to come back. It's irrational, maybe, but that's how depression is. I don't agree with your view of him being scared and anxious as the reason not to come back. We saw that he finally looked up and met Jaemin in the eye during the bus scene; he's not scared anymore. From his point of view, he had his closure. It might not seem like a happy ending, but at the end, I don't think it's a waste at all.
