Yess.. But its an e-gamming drama.. So they are gonna focus on that part for sure and even the egame of tencent…
You will see a lot of gaming scenes/tutoring in the first few eps (upto 4 or 5 i think). So even if u don't like it, bear with it. It's definitely a good drama and well worth the hype.
FL looks beautiful with less makeup, heavy makeup doesn't suit her imho.
As for the drama, story is nothing special as can be expected from such drama. However, chemistry between leads n Xiaobao makes it a fun ride. Turn off yur nitpicking brain n just enjoy :D
Yes, i think it was a well done scene even though i don't agree with his ways (which partly is cos of the thread). Him confessing and crying was an acceptance of the outcome. In a typical drama, he would have become a toxic person doing questionable things to separate the leads after so many rejections. I think it was also a good closure for his character.
Just the game Onmyoji has Japanese characters. The ones playing the game are Chinese. In the novel the game was…
Yea, I thought the show writers adapted the show's character names to Chinese but had trouble doing the same for the in-show game (Onmyoji) :D. All the players are Chinese and Korean but character names were Japanese so it made me wonder.
I just wanna slap the ML hahaha, he gets annoying/unbearable a lot of times. I don't know what the writer was thinking when he imagined his personality.
This is the kind of drama you should watch when you want to grin throughout. After watching a string of serious dramas, I needed this one.
What I loved: * Chemistry and acting * Story is nothing new, but it's refreshing at the same time because nothing is draggy. Focus is on the lead's romance and their growth. * Misunderstandings and difficulties arise but the issues they faced looked natural and it's not there just for the sake of tension. It brought about maturity and improvement/trust in their relationship. * Very funny support roles like ML's friends and neighbor/friend actor. * No scheming in-laws * No one is bad (not exactly 'bad' but using it for lack of better word) for the sake of being one. The older guy wanted to sabotage ML & FL's relationship but gave up and let go when he realized there's no chance for him. He, in fact, continues to support them because he genuinely cares for the FL. This is a rare trait in these kind of dramas. * Cool parents/grandparents * Music/Songs
What I didn't like or could have been better but didn't spoil the series as a whole: * I would have liked it better if there were more scenes of ML's university/academic life. We can see the FL's struggle with her career, I wanted to see more of the ML's as well. * After making their relationship public, the media and public seemed to forget about them :). They were able to walk around freely without any attention as compared to before. They could've shown us what impact it had on the ML's life.
Few scenes I liked: * During rehearsal in the university, someone calls ML's name and FL realizes who he is and slips * ML saying “So you really don’t want me?” when FL wanted to breakup with him out of concern for his sake. I really loved that whole scene, the acting/emotion was on point from both of them. * FL saying “Come here” to ML in the basketball court after their misunderstanding. That sounded very endearing and showed how comfortable they were with each other. * FL talking to the ML comfortably not knowing he's live streaming * After MSS asks SBY to get out of her house, SBY queues on the bun store which MSS likes. He calls her and tells her he'll give her one more chance to choose (the bun). I felt that this was his way of saying that despite her treating him the way she does, he really wants to be with her and will give her another chance to make it right. * The scene where FL dances with her sexy dress/night gown but becomes embarrased because ML didn't seem to like it. I liked it because I could feel the embarrassment through her acting. The ML didn't look because he was too nervous which the FL took it for him being not interested. * The scene where FL reads the letter ML wrote to her in case he didn't make it due to plane crash * Whenever SBY says "Phui!!"
There are a lot of other scenes I like and I keep going back to them. I would like to thank the whole team for this drama!! Eagerly waiting for their future projects.
I have yet to see a drama recently that doesnt involved the following formula - Establish character and plot,…
Another thing that baffles me is the character growth of ML. He was a childish playboy, "supposedly" improved himself and became matured because of his love for the FL. However, we see that improvement only for a short period. In the recent episodes, I feel that he's back to his childish ways minus the playboy part. I really want to be wrong in this aspect and hope there's more growth coming from his side.
Also, talking about challenges, I would want to see the ML & FL to face "more" of the real challenges, some which are confined to their individual environment (e.g. maneuvering court scheming for FL which she has done to some extent and military for ML) and some which affect both of them (e.g. the marriage). They should, then, overcome these challenges with their wit and trust for each other. This approach, I think, would make for a much interesting watch.
TLDR: I want to see ML and FL facing challenges and overcoming them using their intelligence, bravery and trust, not these misunderstanding soap.
I hate it when writers take the "misunderstand" route. You have strong/intelligent main characters at yur disposal, u don't need this typical misunderstanding trope. Hopefully it's for a short time n not extended, else it's a drop for me.
Applause to all the actors who portrayed their characters well! Unlike some other dramas which are having their…
I have learned to ignore bad CGI in CDramas and focus only on the story and acting. Good CGI adds value but bad ones don't take away my enjoyment as long as the story and acting are good.
He regret giving up his immortality. He wants to change it.
I really hope not, I hate that CDramas are copying hollywood in the seasonal model. Correct me if i'm wrong, CDramas never had seasons before, but they've started doing it in recent years.
