All the familiar names in the comments from Chugakusei Nikki's MDL page, lol everyone that was lurking that page saw someone wrote an article on it and all flocked here to read it! haha! Ummm, just have to say that I feel the exact same way as you! I've never loved a show this much and been so actively interested in everything about it. The music score, the acting the cinematography! It's just a beautiful show, I want everyone to understand how truly special it is! That's too bad you're the only one in your family not to understand Japanese! :)

Pretty sure no one wants him to quit high school/not go to university to support Hijiri. I hope that the leads get together eventually after he's completed his education. I like to think that what they have is true love and not something that will fade away.

Except we'll still have to wait for subs! lol

She gets emotional too, her acting is far from blank and robotic in my opinion.

I think all of the actors do a great job but his acting is on a whole other level.

What do you guys think rainbows represent in this drama?
I've just been noticing things like the side of the taxi cab Akira and Hijiri ride in has a rainbow on it and a star on top. The ferry they get on has a rainbow on the side of it as well. The children's play has a rainbow forest and plays "When You Wish Upon A Star". Then later Akira really gets really excited over how much he likes rainbow chocolate. Also, the town they live in is known for its stars and meteorite showers.
I hope like the lyrics to that song that this story turns out well.
