I feel a lot like you, when you are stating your viewpoint. Your point about the product placement got me a good laugh, it's probably like you may not see "the wood because of the many trees surrounding you". What I mean? You will just need to watch the last scene, does it show the lead couple? Nope! So the lack of all the other products you usually get to see is that the limelight is on the military. I wouldn't mind that much, if there were characters around making decisions that fit them and not just to have "some" drama at the end. Having a military themed drama, you will get the topics of patriotism and such, so either you decide against such series or you will watch or at least try to watch anyway. Many action scenes, do not turn this in a well told story. So, like you, I neither hate nor love it, but, or a big BUT, I wished the characters would have been better developed. Even I finished it, there is still this one question: "Why 40 episodes?" 24- 30 would have done the story good, because all the sloppy jobs had to be cut out and the essence of the drama would be left. Final thought: At the end, you might wish for the cat's "voice of wisdom" to appear until the final of the drama, that's how a romance drama would end it eventually, but sadly this is only wishful thinking, if I would be harsh - I would name this a military advertisement.
1. 59 dramas all together, but only 13 from the year 2022. 2. South Korea 3. Drama, Romance, including topics like death and friendship. 4. It's Beautiful Now and The Red Sleeve 5. The Good Detective 2 since I didn't watch too many productions of 2022, I watched the season and then just went straight season 2. I just had to watch it. 6. Most of the time only one drama after the other and I watched a lot of older content, since I had a long list that I missed out on in the years before 2022. The only dramas I was watching on the side were daily dramas, where an episode is about 30 minutes long, or I rewatched some I saw years ago. 7. Plan? Some good entertainment, that's all.
