Yes pretty impressive Mr. Zhen, the actor's name is Cui Hang, he is been in dramas since 2016, but i have never noticed him... So i am happy he get noticed here.. and hope he get his deserving recognition and end up getting some leading role...
Li Rong is Princess Royal brought up to be strong and never rely on anyone to achieve her goals esp any man, also never to show too much emotions or attachment to anything or anyone, or that will be used against her as her weakness. So she is skeptical about people who get close to her... and JinMai did an amazing job portraying that... she is not likeable initially but those who are around her knows she is kind and good to people, more clearer as we advance into the drama ... (unforgettable scene at Pei Residence when his family summoned him for punishment... she is fierce and her dialogue delivery was too good. and she had too much dialogue too through out...) My only complaint is she sighed a lot .... of course its the direction..
Pei WenXuan on the other hand from poor family, he is given opportunities bcoz he toped the scholars exam and his father made great achievements ... PWX once he set to do something, he meticulously plan and scheme and achieve it.. just like how he liked LiRong and got married to her.. they eventually love each other... But a misunderstanding happened... She feels he still love his childhood friend to whom he was once engaged. and PWX doesn't clarify his status, thinking admitting love is surrendering to imperial power and they drift apart.. given chances to people who wanted to take revenge on imperial rule... to manipulate and eventually kill each other...
Both wake up to 8 years back ... the day Princess chose her husband... given a chance... to correct themselves... this time... He explains and tells everything... and she realises she still love him...
Zhang LingHe is so amazing... I feel he can do any role easily.... The negative in the drama is the SML, he is tooo sinister and got more screen time than everyone... which puts all off.. and he is too good looking also.. Giving a lot of tension to viewers.. wondering will she go to him or not...

Her depiction of the young Minglan was overlooked, she did a fantastic job.
I think all the young actors really needed accolades.... Xia Tao was much smaller.. yet the starting scene of her crying bitterly is soooooooooo natural.. I used to wonder how the director managed all these actors...

Minglan is a bit reserved person, a concubine's daughter. learned from life experience... not to rely on anyone...! The last 10 episodes are intense....
ShenLi is a powerhouse. .she loves boldly since it was a new experience for her.... she does what she wants.. Minglan is more of a schemer.. making stealth moves... and extremely cautious...of not making waves...

IMO, Minglan always loved him, had high opinion of him too ... she speaks with such freedom to him, he is the only man that she speaks without reservation every time they meet. At the same time... she never gave him much thought in that line.. b'coz of his wayward life with a woman on the side and two kids... and from her life's experience, all men are not dependable, at one time or other they will have another woman. So she didnt want to be so dependent on him.
I feel she is under a lot of trauma so bit dysfunctional at the moment, might need more healing and support to…
Actually even I felt when everything we see is her trauma and emotional turmoil... its forgetting to show us the pain of Sang Yan who was rejected so rudely, it can seriously challenge your sense of self-worth .. The scene when he stand and watch the lines going to Yihe was very very moving for me... He still hold on to the promise "I will be there for you always". In a way unless he knows the reason behind her action... he will not have a closure..!

First Frost is about Sang Zhi's brother Sang Yan and Yifan, but with different cast and totally independent story. Baijing Ting as Sang Yan... of course when they show college days.. they will have to show his friend Dian Jia Xu, (here played by Wu Yu Heng) , even sister Sang Zhi is different... actor.
its just two stories.. one about sister her... love.. totally fluffy..
Where as First Frost is more pain and trauma... but also lots of healing and warmth...!!
