Squid Game is a Netflix drama and is was a massive hit internationally so it didn't matter to them if Koreans didn't watch it, but they still dropped Go Min Si from Grand Galaxy Hotel, so it depends most of the time a director will drop an actor with huge controversy if it'll not make them lose money like Grand Galaxy Hotel they didn't start film yet when Go Min Si had the scandal so they dropped her, but in this drama they filmed most of it so they'll lose a lot of money if they recast the fl and refilmed it so they probably will finish filming with Ha Young as a fl and hope for the best

I'm not blaming her, her only fault is ignorance (or stupidity) but I think the sacrifices of the independent fighters shouldn't be forgotten, an independence activist was sentenced to death and Ha Young great-grandfather(and others) saved the traitor the activist tried to kill.

I usually don't comment but I think people here are forgetting few things, first, the fl character is a really hard character to play, and everybody here seem to not like Mun Ka Young casting, questioning her skills which I can understand why, but at the same time wanting Shin Yeeun/Cho yi hyun to be the fl, and I don't have anything against these two actresses I actually like them both, but just like Mun Ka Young don't have any role where her acting was crazy good "like kim tae-ri kinda good", Shin Yeeun and Cho yi hyun also don't show that kinda crazy acting yet, I think all three are decent, but I just don't understand why people in the comments are so convinced that Shin Yeeun and Cho yi hyun will do a better job than Mun Ka Young.
But the major thing people are forgetting is there's something Mun Ka Young have that the other two don't have and that's experience, she's been acting for 19 years, if I was a director I'd also chose the actor who has a 19 years experience over an actor who was only been acting for 9 years, I think that's why MKY was casted.
I know a lot of people here will disagree with me but it's something that has to be said, anyway I'm looking forward to watching this regardless of who's going to be the fl.
