A Masterpiece of Comedy with Surprising Depth! (10/10)

Overall Rating: 10/10

I seek out comedy to cure my soul, and I know many other drama fans do the same. When a show is truly funny, it can easily overshadow minor flaws—like the giant loopholes in most of the investigations here (hahaha). But honestly? I only care about the laughs anyway, and this show delivers extreme peak comedy.
Within just a few minutes of starting, I already knew this was going straight to my top list. I've watched so many shows that didn't have as many jokes in their entire run as a single episode of this drama has. The humor is just completely spot-on.

The Characters & Chemistry

The dynamic of this gang is incredible. You'll honestly find yourself wishing their story never ends; their constant chattering and banter are amusing enough to carry the show for many seasons.
• The Main Trio: The three lead male actors are extremely good, completely living up to their reputations and experience. Their bromance is a massive highlight.
• The Supporting Cast: Nanao and Ito Sairi surprisingly became my absolute favorites. I always thought Nanao only fit serious roles, but she can deliver some amazing comedy if you know how to appreciate it. I've already checked out and loved Nanao. Now time to check out Ito Sairi ;) seems she's got many main roles years after: https://kisskh.at/people/7065-ito-sairi
• The One Flaw: On the downside, Hirose Suzu's character is super annoying here—so much so that I’m now scared to try watching her asadora!

Behind the Scenes & Tone

The vibe of the show is wonderfully chaotic. It is so funny that even the actors themselves clearly couldn't stop laughing while filming. You can tell they decided to keep those raw, breaking-character moments in the final cut for the viewers, which makes it even better.

Story, Substance, & The Ending

While it plays way more goofy than you’d expect, it is also much deeper than it looks. The plot is more complex than the surface suggests, and it is funnier than the heavy themes it carries. The "lectures" and philosophical writing are surprisingly good, offering real-life lessons and great quotes, even if they get a little too over-the-top sometimes.
However, I have to admit that the ending kinda hurt my feelings and was very confusing. After everything, I really just wanted to enjoy their banter and group dynamic, so the way things wrapped up caught me off guard.

Audio / Music

As a bonus, the production team perfectly incorporates my favorite classical piece—Dvořák's New World Symphony—all the time. It fits the atmosphere beautifully.

Final Verdict

I can't really recommend another drama quite like this one because it's so unique. Even though the ending left me a bit hurt and confused, the journey itself is totally worth it. If you want a show that will make you smile and laugh all the way through just from pure, amazing character banter, this is an absolute must-watch.
