Title The Edge of Horizon Spoiler
Btw that fake out death was foul! I knew it was coming when I saw how many minutes were left of the running time.…
Yes, the way Aum and Tin got separated was awkward. I pretty much just tried to rationalize it as "maybe they figured a woman would struggle with a man with an injured leg and they also weren't willing to risk themselves."

Oh, I could go on and on about the unrealistic behaviour in obviously dangerous situations. I mean, I'm not expecting 100% realism. It's a drama, afterall. But Phob just walking so casually while the place was getting bombed, Phob standing around after running to save that kid, instead of staying in motion.

Also, Tinn had like seven business days to get out of the way, because his dad and Chat saw that bomb coming, and then Phob had enough time to also see it coming and run to Tinn. That one pissed me off because Tinn pretty much acted like he was waiting to embrace the bomb.

I feel like the previous episodes took pains to show how much stronger and more confident Tinn is, and then here they almost reduced him to a blubbering baby.

And yeah, there's no way Phob would be as calm as he was with Tinn in front of a gun.

There's a lot to grouse about, tbh. I give everyone their flowers for the previous episodes, but I wish they stuck the landing, regardless of how they chose to tie up the story.

I agree. This was by far the weakest episode for me. It feels very disjointed, like it was hurriedly hacked together. The scenes don't flow well from one to the next, and it feels like a different writer wrote this.

For me, this started after Phob found Tinn when the fight started. And then having him rehash the whole "I will always be your Phob" routine. That just felt like the wrong time to insert that. The episode progressively worsened from there.

The crying and emotional scenes also felt excessive and overly dramatic. But I did like the scene where Vasin finally gave his blessing to Phob and Tinn. It felt very true to the characters, except for maybe the fact that Phob had to apologize too. But I understand why the apology was necessary.

And yeah, that fake out death. It was quickly obvious that Phob was coming back but the way it was executed was dissatisfying, on top of an already messy episode.

I will miss this series. But I don't think it has any rewatch value for me. It reminds me of Triage, which I loved up until the final episodes botched the story.

Oh my god! Six Flying Dragons mentioned. This was the first drama I saw him in that made me fall in love with his acting. He was really good in it.

I feel very strongly about wanting a sad ending, in not having Tinn and Phob end up together. But Phob dying?…
I kinda get you. 😂 And tbh, Vasin attempting to kill Phob will not be out of character for him.

In real history, Pridi, the leader who became prime minister after the revolution, actually wanted to compromise…
Like Diego says, thank you for adding this! I really should go read some Thai history.

Hopefully, that compromise, if the show goes that way, can prevent a violent clash between the two sides.

I feel very strongly about wanting a sad ending, in not having Tinn and Phob end up together. But Phob dying? I think that'd be a little too much. I just want them to move forward separately.

Vasin, on the other hand. I wouldn't be surprised if he's killed off. In fact, before I learned that the irl coup was bloodless, I thought for sure that Vasin would die and that would be the real dealbreaker for Tinn with Phob.

Chat loves pushing the blame on someone else. It's your fault, not Phob's you the one who stole the money.
I thought seeing his family lose their house because of his stupidity would force some sense into him, but apparently not.

I agree! I'm not sure how they'll get from here to a HE in the final episodes but as things stand now, a HE is unrealistic.

Episode 8… what did you do to me 😭First of all, I HATE Tinn’s father for seeing what happened and immediately…
Tinn said to Phob once that if there was someone who could get the country out of its mess, he'd support them wholeheartedly. I don't think he's that attached to his privilege, especially given the additional context of that conversation he had with a subordinate after he was dismissed.

He works hard, and besides the comforts that come with his status (like being able to eat sumptuous meals while their citizens starve), he's never abused his position or oppressed anyone else for it.

I think that it's more a matter of personality that has prevented Tinn from being someone more vocal about the disparity between the royals and commoners. He's also not as motivated to be a revolutionary in the same way Phob is. Additionally, he genuinely believed royals like his father cared for their people and were working to make things better.

Also, I wonder if even Phob would have been part of the revolution if he hadn't been forced away from Tinn. (Although that was always bound to happen, given Tinn's father.)

And about Tinn leaving the interpretation of the current situation to his family, I think he does understand what has truly happened. But he's also a little out of it because as you said, no matter how you slice it, Phob betrayed and used him. With their dismissals from the ministries, his family's future is also uncertain. Phob may have done the right thing by the country, but the guilt of feeling like he's caused his own family to fall on hard times (with even their safety uncertain) will probably keep Tinn from challenging his father's views on the coup for a while.

I think with a little more time, Tinn will gain some more clarity. Maybe he'll talk his father out of his dissension. Even so, this episode made me realise I no longer want a happy ending. I agree with you that parting for good now makes more sense. Anything else feels like it would be unrealistic. At some point, I found myself impatient with Phob and thinking him naive for trying to return himself and Tinn "back to normal".

Even if Phob could regain Tinn's trust, how could Tinn ever bring him home to his family as his partner? It just feels like no amount of logical arguments about Phob's actions being in the country's best interests could erase the fact that he took advantage of and used their son to achieve that goal.

So guys, should I start watching it now or wait a couple of weeks? My heart can't handle much sadness. 🥲
Recommend waiting because I wish I did. It's torture waiting each week. (If you can handle waiting, then jump in to suffer with us. 😭😭)

idk about you guys, i personally LOVE it when a BL series is actually an original work who wasn't an adaptation…
The wait between episodes is killing meeee! 😭 If it was an adapted story, I'd have run full speed to read the source.

It does if you read the novel, and I highly recommend it! The novel is titled "A Certain Someone" or "Mou Mou", if I'm not mistaken (it's been a while since I read it).

And you can just continue from where the series stopped if you don't want to start from the beginning.
