It's nice to meet someone else who accepted that Naksu would never be as cool as they initially made her seem and kept watching, anyways. I've seen a lot of people who think that Part 2 is so much worse than Part 1 and seem to be surprised by that fact, but all the signs were there from the beginning; the end product was just worse when it couldn't be supported with as much filler/when the writers were confronted with a finite ending.

When a turtle has more consistent writing and is more fleshed-out as a character than all of the female leads despite not even speaking... Something is clearly wrong with this picture!

I feel like if you watched all of Season 1, you know what you're in for. Some parts are great, some parts are…
I should probably note that not everyone agrees with me on the chemistry front, and that other elements of the plot may have underperformed this season, leading people to think that overall it leaned more on the romance, but I still don't think it did.

I see where you’re coming from. However, my views are only based on this drama’s particular story line. I…
Omg the damn turtle hahaha I was half expecting the lucky spirit within it that Jin Bu Yeon identified to turn human and marry our beloved and disgruntled CP after all the madness died down. Would have been a fairy-tale ending to that arc.

I haven't seen season 2 yet but... this is what I feared. I hate how so many dramas pull the "physically strong,…
And boy, did they ever make him look good. It honestly smacks of two female writers giving everything to their male lead like he's their prodigal son and only heir, while leaving only the most meagre of crumbs for his female sibling. You'd think that women would know how to write fleshed-out women characters, but these two either can't be bothered or, and this is almost worse, they're not allowed to because it's not what the men in charge of the cheque-books think will make them money.

I watched a clip on the BBC about how Korea's government is thinking of dismantling their ministry in charge of protecting women's rights, and it really made me think that even when women in dramas are supposed to be super badass, they ultimately end up losing their power and playing second fiddle to powerful men, or when they're in love they end up getting so wrapped up in the romance that they almost feel like entirely different (ie damsel in distress) type people (I felt that way after watching Strong Girl Do Bong Soo, at least). It's sad that, in many more traditional cultures, we can't portray a woman in love without her having to submit to her husband/boyfriend in some way and "dim her light."

Hmmm I don't feel like it's any more romance centred than last season. In fact, there are less couples to focus on this season. Do they still draw out the romance a little too much? Yeah, but there are less episodes for them to do it in, so it doesn't end up being too draggy. Also, since the main couple has FAR more chemistry (and the female lead is somehow much more animated and believable despite playing a character who's lost their memory), it's a lot more palatable even if you're not there for the romance.

Park Jin, Mama Jin and Kim Doju. There are family crests of Songrim, Jinyowon and Jang Family on each coffin.
Ooooh that's probably expecting too much, given how things have gone... 🫠

Back and fourth storytelling not works every time. This drama proved it.
I have no problem with the premise, I just hate that the show runners had to cram in the flashbacks to confirm things. We, the audience, are not idiots; we can trust that certain things happened without seeing them! You've only got one episode left, for Christ sakes- use it wisely!!

They were the happiest couple from Ep. 1 onwards, so I sensed death in the air ever since then. I've seen my share…
And people wonder why anxiety levels among humans are at an all-time high haha

ahahhahaha I literally thought the same; her neck should hurt a lot :p anyways, we adore a tall king. it's all…
Ikr. Maybe this is payback for most male leads in Asian dramas having to practically break their necks for most kiss scenes.

But it's silly, just get them to a hill or put her on a table! No need to make her pay for a chiropractor for slow-mo kisses.

You're not wrong. Whatever the reason, that was deflating.Making excuses that if he acknowledges her as soul shifter…
Let's face it, that whole "when will he find out who she is" dynamic was kinda broken from the beginning because he was supposedly falling in love with her, anyways. If they'd held off on the romance, they could have really built up the tension and made the reveal super powerful. But they chose not to, so here we are.

Do the two parts feel that different to you?! Apart from the leads having more chemistry, not much has changed.

You know, I religiously watched season 1 each week and was really looking forward to season 2 but ultimately decided…
I feel like if you watched all of Season 1, you know what you're in for. Some parts are great, some parts are meh, and some parts we could've really done without. Not much has changed in that regard. The writers have a tendency to finish strong, but we all know how they like to dawdle getting to that finish line.

tell me I'm not the only one disappointed in this season... i don't know what will have to happen in the finale…
Yeah, that last scene was so jarring. I'm used to them pretending I'm dumb and can't pick up on anything myself without them explaining it first, so to not know for once is infuriating.
