I'm not familiar with douban but I've always heard it's been problematic and from what you mentioned just now I can see why. Rivalry between fandoms is always going to be there.. I mean taking a look at the comment above me about the rating of these 2 very well popular xianxia dramas, their douban rating was TTEOTM 5.6 and LBFAD 8.2 and that's quite an extreme gap imo. If that's not fandom work at play then idk how reliable this can even be.. My main concern was about the malicious activity and criticisms the actors/actresses are getting for no reason and that was what was unfair to me.
In regards to that vote per episode I made, as you can see it was only ep 1 and I am already up to date with the rest of the eps that are out. But I didn't vote for the rest of the eps right? As mentioned before I have watched the first episode and it caught my attention and that's why I stayed. I'm staying true to my word of only casting a vote after watching the drama which I've always done before.
