I wouldn’t really call it a romance drama. The business tag alone fits. I love seeing women chase their dreams in shows, but the male lead was kinda underwhelming. For an older guy, he just didn’t give off that mature, established-man vibe.
What I loved most was watching her work on herself and slowly get back on her feet. I have such a soft spot for dramas about ambitious women who know their worth.
Yes, he was controlling and domineering, but not in that cliché, over-the-top way Chinese dramas usually portray these kinds of characters.
