I was having a drama "drought" and take a chance of watching this series. The production is impressive but I must say it can be quite dragging. There are two things that stand out for me: Hard to choose or predict who the FL will end up (though I prefer Jing). This leads me to the second point which is the acting of the 3 male main actors here. The actor playing the 9-head demon is excellent in portraying all roles: villain, the victim, and a romantic guy.

I'm also not a fan of the FL. I only finished Ashes of Love and the rest of her work I dropped from watching as I only see similar acting. In the beginning of the series I was thinking "here's the same acting/roles again', but towards the middle and development of the story, I can see some growth in her acting.

But for me, as I'm having a drama "drought" and waiting for next good series, I endure watching it. There's a lot of scenes or episodes thats too dragging and it's 39 episodes for season 1. And I wonder how long is the season 2?

the ML has a great resemblance to Lee Min Ho of South Korea

it's admirable and it's really brave of him as an actor to take on different roles. But there's always a risk. Though the story and casting might be good (like his 2-3 previous ones), it doesn't mean it's good. More of average or even low which is such a waste of great talent like Xu Kai. Though I like him as an actor, he still need to get a series with great pairing that could really show his talent. and sustain his strength as a great actor. Thats just me and others who rated his previous shows low.

agree. It's a great masterpiece. I couldn't find any fault on the series. It's like a masterclass of how to do a great series :-)

I also dropped Blue Whisper until I find a good video with good English sub. I was thinking the pacing is way too fast and the development of the story arc and their characters does not have that solid foundation for me to hold to the story. But that's just me.

I was so excited to see Ren Allen again and was really looking forward to this series. He set the bar so high for me after watching him at One and Only and Forever and ever series. His acting and looks is once again topnotch. I hope he can do more great series with great script and story.

But this series is just a disappointment, I'm not sure if the genre is love story, fantasy, comedy or even a twilight zone. I find the plot very confusing, ridiculous, among others. Acting, cinematography and custom is great. It's just the story and screenplay that failed to deliver what could be a great series.

finally watched this series. It's been a while that I've watched a kdrama, though its a bit cliche the execution was great and it's the first time I've completed a Korean drama. Thought the quality is there, most of the kdrama I've seen got a "template", so it became predictable and dropped after few scenes.

great character development of ML but the FL? soooo annoying. Very unrealistic attachment and always on the go to save a guy who is just a normal friend. Despite the trouble, scandal, heartache, headache to majority of the people around her. Forsaking everything just to save her "ordinary" friend? But the actress portrayal is impressive. not her fault that her character role is very flawed

Much as I admire Zhao Lusi of her dedication to portray 15/16 y/o girl, I hope she can put some weight please. I noticed it too to some other female actresses like Bai Lu and Dilreba. They're all gorgeous and talented, but they're all too thin! Imagine working straight for months and I heard actors will lose more weight while shooting the series. And its no joke with the gruelling hours they have to work. The camera they say add more pounds on your weight onscreen, what I can see in tv is already disturbing.I hope all actors can please take care of your health.
