It was really uncomfortable to watch the scenes in "Africa". It's 2022 and they stuck to stereotypes and made…
Sadly it's not just that for drama, it happens in real life. I know especially a lot of Korean churches send Korean college students to poor parts of Africa to do volunteering. They post a lot of photos from there surrounded with kids. I was told I wouldn't survive a day there... probably referring that life is so hard there. I think they seek these poorer parts in order to make their churches or volunteer programs to look "good" and saviors. Kind of like using those countries for their own advantage. It's quite sad even though the help they do there may be needed, but it seems to have other motives as well.
Good drama but Africa being displayed like that kinda throws me off. There are so many countries in Africa that…
I personally know many Koreans who have volunteered in Africa for a year and the photos they have posted were very similar to the drama. So I think for them it seems very realistic portrayal. I'm not saying it's realistic for me, but for what they know from their experience of volunteering. They might have not seen the rich parts of Africa at all. It seems to be quite popular in South Korea to go to volunteer to the poor parts of Africa, however most of the time those volunteers are church people. Except for Africa I have seen them go to volunteer to South Asia and South America also a lot.
Its still wrong and gives stereotypes. SK has a huge poverty problem they couldve done it there but ofc they dont…
I personally know many Korean people who volunteered in Africa for a year so it's quite realistic. However, most of the time those people are from church.
It seems a lot of people here are confused of why the English title is Sh**ting stars. It's because in the word shooting star 병똥별 in Korean there is the word 똥 which also means shit. So it's like a word play.
ABP ALERT!!!!If Mon/Tues wins, they sure as heck had better wait until after April 26th!!https://lovekpop95.com/2022/04/11/sbs-will-air-the-remaining-4-unaired-episodes-of-a-business-proposal
Ngl, pretty disappointed in the decision by Noh Go Jin to prevent Sina from becoming an instructor. It's a weird…
Honestly I think it's because he doesn't want her to do any hard work (like we saw earlier in the episode) that would worsen her condition (that he thinks she has). So he said it was because he wanted to keep her next to him which is also true.
3rd episode made me so emotional, it was such a beautifully painful episode. ㅠ I'm getting really invested in this series, I never knew it would be this good. Loving all of the characters so far.
No, I don't think so, because ML and FL have about 20 years age difference...unless the romance is between 2ML and FL, they have about 10 years age difference which is not as bad.
I suddenly remembered that Sina was supposed to like him, right? It was mentioned in the first episode I think. But after those few episodes she basically completely forgot he even exists. 😂
Really enjoying this one, but the peach scene is a little sus lol. I feel like one of the first things Shina would…
Maybe he just couldn't think of that in that situation? Maybe he also didn't think that Sina knew. He was also surprised that Sina knew the day when his grandma passed away.
I kinda wish they would have extended the drama a bit. I would have loved to see Hari and Taemu's preparation for marriage, Yeongseo's business, her Father accepting their relationship and also their weddings. Hari's Mom was also still suspecting Taemu after he had been gone for long. They could have easily made this drama also a 16 episode drama with good writing. I was a bit disappointed with the 1 year later cliche. All that being said I loved all the actors and their characters so much that I'll rewatch this drama many times in the future. Gonna miss them all so much.
