Finally watched this one. I loved it. It also kind of heals the bittersweet ending of Legend of Yunxi, that here even has a cameo in the form of art, as they mentioned their folklore and Fu Rong says her ending of Yunxi is positive, hehe. Hope time also heals reality and someday we get Jingyi and Zhehan together again on screen. The last 4 episodes lack a lot and seem slow, but since I already thought 35 episodes were good and fast, I still liked it. I feel it's not necessary to watch the coda of four episodes in modern times if you want a sweet ending with the finale of episode 40, but I also think that was a gift for the fans so I don't complain.
Congrats on his wonderful debut as director 👏🥳 Wonderful job, beautiful and insightful. Hoping we can ad August Documentary to his director section here. Another milestone he has reached, I'm so proud of you Zhehan ❤️
If this spinoff is on the same universe of the previous story I'm really hoping they don't mess up Fish as a character, because her arc was a very decent representation.
