I'm Martin from Germany. I'm married, have a bachelor's degree, and work as a software developer.

Those were the two sentences. But for anyone who’s interested, here’s a bit more information about me:

I'm interested in learning more about South Korea and its culture. My interest actually started with Korean dramas. They made me curious about the country behind the stories and what life in Korea is really like.

I'm well aware that dramas only show a particular, often highly stylized version of Korea. I may have picked up some stereotypes or even a somewhat distorted picture without realizing it. That's why I'd love to learn more from Korean people themselves — about everyday life, school and work, family, nature and islands, cities and villages, culture and history, and all the things that dramas usually don't show.

I'm still very much at the beginning of my journey, but I'm curious to learn and would be happy to meet people who are willing to share their experiences and perspectives.
