It's a good drama, but Shim Bu Nui is so annoying,How can she believe in that stupid superstition.
She's smart, but not rational. She's in constant penance mode. The plot is pretty ridiculous, but somehow this super smart girl became convinced that she is a human jinx, to the point that she can actually kill and harm the people she cares about. I think most of her friends see it as simple superstition, but it's not. She is basically in self sabotage mode because she blames herself, so it makes sense to me that she would put herself in harms way - she thinks she deserves it. She's not just trying to save her sister, she's trying to punish herself for harming her sister.
I'm curious to see how it plays out, because the show seems to be leaning towards the superstition being actually true. I have a feeling this is only the first part though, and that she will be equally helpful in Su Ho's life. He is already drawn to her because she puts others so far ahead of herself when he is used to being used by everyone. I also think the sh!t is about to hit the fan with whatever secret his mom and the chicken dude are hiding.
When Oh Hae Yeong #1 FINALLY found out the truth and still chose to go after him like a stupid doormat, that was…
I think she's the opposite of a doormat, although that's how she always appears on the outside. She's so used to being laughed at, or overlooked, that she doesn't have to hold on to her pride the way all the other characters do. I think that's what makes her likable, and strangely admirable. It takes more strength to be vulnerable sometimes. That's why OHY#2 is falling apart - she can't be vulnerable.
Of course OHY #1 could dump him because he is so damaged, and pretend she doesn't love & miss him, and date her old fiancé... which is exactly what happens in the alternative reality, but Instead she is being honest about her willingness to be vulnerable and in love, and that's making him slowly do the same.
I also think what makes this relationship so appealing is that it is so messy. If he was abusive, or unfaithful, or using her... I would agree with you, but I don't think he is - he's just extremely guarded.
They are just two emotionally traumatized people who find solace in each other, and I think that's worth fighting for. Everyone has their own perspective though...
I hope the best friend with glasses is not secret crushing Je Su Ho. Let her go with funny cafe owner.
I don't know... I have a feeling glasses friend is going to cockblock Bo Nui & Su Ho's relationship big time - but she is perfect with the cafe owner. One thing I like about Bo Nui is that you can sometimes see from her expression that she knows Su Ho likes her... or is at least being extra nice to her. He's not exactly subtle. lol. I think the problem is that she won't let herself like anyone right now.

The plot is pretty ridiculous, but a good actor can make me fall in love with a ridiculous plot. Hwang Jung Eum has a weird gift for making me feel annoyed and charmed by her in every drama I've seen her in, so I'm used to it.
I was so busy swooning over Su Ho that I forgot about the mom and the chicken guy genius. I wonder how that is going to play out, since he seems to be Su Ho's possible dad, but he clearly has a dad (unless I missed something).
Did anyone else freak out the way I did when I saw him wearing that damn t-shirt! I was already pre-freaking out…
Yeah, the white "surfing" shirt. I think he wears it a few times in the show, but the premonitions scenes made me start paying closer attention to the wardrobe. Now, in my brain, surfing shirt plus black jacket means that scene may be coming up.
Did anyone else freak out the way I did when I saw him wearing that damn t-shirt! I was already pre-freaking out until I realized that his jacket was blue and not black in the episode. Seriously, he needs to destroy that outfit! Kill that T-shirt with fire!!! Curse you "surfing" t-shirt !!!
I also wonder which ex is the one behind the wheel. At least that's my theory. I thought it was definitely Tae Jin, but now I'm wondering if OHY#2 might snap. He single handedly destroyed her image of perfection, so it's definitely possible.
Right now my favorite is Another Oh Hae Young... (I just finished the latest episode and I'm already going through withdrawal), and now my #2 is surprisingly Lucky Romance. I would have never guessed that based on the first episode.
I am a little disappointed that she needed his rescue. why pull that move, writer???
I think it's because her character is super desperate, not because she's weak. When you are desperate, you don't always think as logically, and we know he is all logic.
We already know how smart she is, so putting herself in danger like that shows how guilty she must feel too, it's like self sabotage. She's clearly willing to sacrifice herself for her sister - I'm sure if she was told to jump off of a bridge she would - so it's good that he's obsessively looking out for her. Maybe he will even offer an alternative theory to relieve some of her guilt about being cursed.

Hopefully that hug changed her mind ;)
