everything is understandable, why does the music get 6.5!! the ost is the best imo, watched the drama because…
I'm not even sure I remember the music from this drama anymore. Maybe that's why? I think if I don't feel the urge to download the OST I will give it a lower score. That is probably why.
The crazy thing about the "pro-birth-by-any-means" moral dilemma in this drama is not only that they never fully acknowledge the weight of putting everyone's life and career at risk just so one woman can maybe have her dead husband's nepo-baby, but the god complex of the doctor is not admirable at all. No matter what they try to do to make him seem righteous he just seems obsessed and insane. Now I'm just rage-watching till the end.
nothing in this drama makes sense. giving up the lottery ticket makes zero sense after spending all that time focusing on it. The make lead wanting to risk his life for a possible pregnancy only to be surprised when his life is actually in danger and he’s left behind. I would be mad as a viewer if they didn’t leave him.
The cast is great. Thr plot is a mess. The Eve character is insufferable. The Male lead is ridiculous. The preachy theme is so obnoxious. So why can’t I stop watching? 😩🤣
Rotten Tomatoes giving this series an 82% rating is yet another example of how out of touch these so-called critics…
Maybe, just maybe, your opinion is just as limited as your claim of other's opinions.
I have watched a lot of Korean dramas as a Non-Korean and Squid Game as a series is among my favorites by far (even before season 3). I marked it high on here and rotten tomatoes! I've given it a higher rating than most people on this site because to me it deserves that.
Maybe people like the interesting characters and the unique world the story created, and a mystery that holds their interest, and a million other reasons. My appreciation is more than Genuine. Maybe because I can understand the concept of a series like "Star Wars", or "Hunger Games", or "Harry Potter", "Lord of the rings" or "The Matrix" where the goal is not to compare each movie to each other but to embrace the journey the series takes you on, you like it or you don't. Periodt.
You sound more triggered by something you personally don't like more than anything to do with the actual show. In fact, the accusations feel patronizing and reflective of the characters in the show.
Everyone is not going to like this show as much as I did for sure, but spare me the elitism of having the superior opinion. I can imagine there are many shows you love that I would see as trash and I don't think that means it's because of my elevated view. Chill.
And if the trans character makes you uncomfortable just say that. Your anger at "diversity" is telling...
Squid Game is fun to watch, and a less preachy examination of the human condition, while still bringing genuine intrigue for people invested in the story. So many people told me it was not going to be good and I already watched it twice enjoying it.
2 More games being played (the ones on the wall) but stopping before the last game.
A LOT of brutal likable Main Character Deaths but only after we learn enough about their backstories to break our hearts.
011 Rescues the father through the organ passage and they will lead Jin Ho to where the island is. She has skills from escaping North Korea that she canuse.
The junkie character causing major problems.
I think if the girl goes into labor that will be crazy.
I think characters we like will betray characters we like. I don't trust 333. Also, I'm almost positive the Mom's death will happen and be tragic.
I think more people are involved than we think. We know the ship captain is but I think the police may be too.
Obviously a brother vs brother ultimate battle.
I would not be surprised if Gi Hun actually doesn't make it to the end. : (
I think what I love is that there are so many directions the story can go from super bleak to hopeful, which keeps me excited about the series overall. The writer is really good at taking obvious predictions and flipping them on their head.
I hope Gi Hun gets to see them stop the games in Korea although I can't imagine they will stop completely.
depending on how dark the show gets, or hopeful, I think he will either sacrifice his life for her and the kid OR throw them under the bus to save his own. I like that you still can’t tell based on his character but I’m guessing the former not the latter.
Let me re-use a previous comment:Penguinz0 really likes it:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqIUFupLgFoLike everyone…
I honestly think it’s the storytelling that is carrying this series which is why the low ratings shocked me. I think it only feels over hyped because the promotion matched its popularity which is basically the MJ Thriller of Netflix Series, but it almost feels like people are being extra critical because it is such a good series vs just rating it for what it is. it’s not just people not liking it as much as the first season (which is understandable since it’s incomplete) but it’s like they had their criticisms ready before they hit play. Meanwhile I’m struggling to get through “When the phone rings” after watching Squid Game and it’s rating is sooo high I feel like I’m in the twilight zone.
Not that reviews ever ruled my opinions but it seems like people are mad at Squid Game’s popularity more than they are rating it for what it actually is. I get that the violence isn’t for everyone but the rating math still isn’t mathing to me.
I can't believe so many terrible trope-abusing dramas have a higher rating than this. I get that everyone has their own opinion but a 7.9 feels disrespectful.
I thought of this too. Like did Gi Hun forget that the wall last time showed the games that they’re playing?…
I don't think the players ever noticed the games on the walls. They were too involved in and traumatized by what was going on to ever mention it. I think the audience noticed but they were just trying not to get murdered.
yeah it was obvious as hell which is why I'm a little salty that junho didn't clock it considering his literal…
I also think from his perspective that guy helped him for almost 3 years and actually did what he asked with no questions. Everyone else is new and has a pretty sketchy past, so he would distrust them before his ride-or-die sailor, who is also playing dumb so well. U Seok the gangsta will probably call him out and pay for it, but he doesn't trust the cop either.
