SCREAMING!!!!!!

How should I separate part 1 from part 2 for a review? I’m in the minority that think both parts fit perfectly together to create an amazing (ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, PERFECT) story. But I’ll try.

Alchemy of Souls has a perfect introduction that hooks the viewer immediately. Naksu is a badass assassin who finds herself in the body of a blind girl, and due to her circumstances, she comes to form an unlikely-to-work-out alliance with Jang Uk, an outcast boy. Together, they form a bond so deep, so full of love, loyalty, protection… It’s BEAUTIFUL. But also so fun! They’re full of antics, always bickering, and it’s delightful to see them together. And again, SO MUCH LOVE. You can see just by the way they look at each other, it’s insane. SO GOOD. GAH!

Now, other than the best romance ever, the story is also full of action, politics, humor, and plot twists. It kept surprising me and I was invested in every second of it—Alchemy of Souls truly made me obsessed and so happy! I just KNEW I’d love this show from episode 1 and I was right, this show changed my life.

And the ending??? TRAGIC MASTERPIECE. FUCK YES. I know many people are angry about it but holy shit man I did NOT see that coming and I was HYPED. Lmao, I know alright!!!! My heart was broken but I love a good tragedy that keeps me hooked for the next season.

And now I wish I could watch it all again for the first time.
