I agree. They're just actors. True he is a Minor, but still. This is just Acting. I'm sure if the production tries…
Dude, he's not even out of PUBERTY yet! His frontal lobe is still developing meaning it could heavily impact his mental health and sense of self + right or wrong. Even if they're actors, it's still a CHILD starring in NC scenes where he's getting forced upon! Would you show these scenes to your family or younger sibling that's 16? I don't think so. So why would it be ok for a teenager to literally film it smh?
Ummm.... this is a literal MINOR we're talking about? Age gaps are fine as long as both are over 21, meaning they're…
Lmao using the law as a defense in any argument is the lowest and most ambiguous form of justification, knowing just how fickle it is everywhere. Y'all really have the compassion and social awareness of a jellyfish It all comes down to principles, and this just shows you have none
Seriously like this series has literal rape scenes
Thank you π
You're one of the few sane ones I found on this page cause wtaf is wrong with these people? π They literally be defending a series platforming pedophilia on the set π Saying it's a fictional show doesn't take away from the fact that the actor playing the role is still a minor? It's not just his character that's a high school student π₯²
These weirdos really only here to fetishize m X m relationships fr π

The rage in you goes crazy - so aggressive
I just presented my view about this series based on my morals and didn't really try to tell you that your view was wrong (like you're doing) even though it is quite questionable since it's not someone playing the role of a 16 yr old, but is actually that age. Not supporting a certain series because of the casting choice is as valid as supporting it - doesn't mean I should "throw my tv out" lmao - entertainment does not have to come at the cost of morals. It's the same as me not supporting a movie that is xenophobic or racist. If it doesn't agree with my beliefs, I won't be watching.
And like I said before too, being an actor doesn't mean you HAVE to take on series that are mature - and it being done by many others doesn't make it any less problematic. Like someone mentioned earlier, if they can find a 27 yr old to play one of the MLs, they can very well find another talented but grown actor to star alongside him. Just imagine if this pairing was of a 27 yr old man with a 16 yr old girl - we wouldn't be having this argument rn cause everyone would agree it's pedophilia. I don't get why there needs to be a difference in treating children, especially guys just because it's a BL they're working in - they're CHILDREN. Period!
From what I see, we have a HUGE difference in what we find tolerable or not so I won't be talking with you about this any further to spare you and myself the aggravation
can you all stop being drama queens? If Mac didn't want this, he wouldn't be in the drama. He chose it. Get over…
Ummm.... this is a literal MINOR we're talking about? Age gaps are fine as long as both are over 21, meaning they're ADULTS. A 27 year old with a 16 year old is just wild even if it's only a series. There's so many other series that a high school student can participate in where the storyline is more appropriate for their age group. Even if this is an adaptation, the literal plot revolves around rape, kidnapping and obsessive behavior! I get that this is a "series they chose themselves" but this isn't something we should be encouraging as an audience because otherwise the directors will see no harm in casting younger actors for more mature series (beneficial for them cause they have to pay them less). The age of consent might be different in Thailand or whatever but per my personal standards, this is exploitation. Also, it's called having a conscience, not being a "bitch". And where are the parents? Why the hell would any sensible adult let their child participate in a show that deals with such heavy topics as this one? The directors too!
Ps. the trailer literally shows that there are NC scenes in the series - something that a 16 should NOT have to do at that age!
Every 4-5 hours, I come here to get an update like a fool TT _ TT Someone pls sponsor me a ticket to Korea so I can watch this in the theatres & stop acting crazy ππ
I'm late to the party and this is completely irrelevant to the show, but Woo Tae from MBitious is just so cute π He's charming and gives shy pup energy lol. Love that he's working with Wheein after joining TheL1ve and seems happy :)
Itβs released in Korean CGVβ¦ Not sure where to watch it tho
Yes I know it's a theatre release but I just don't really expect Koreans to use a site in English to keep a record of their Kdramas π I was just thinking that it must be International viewers that rated the movie so that's why I wanted to know how they watched it (unless they flew to Korea - which is HIGHLY unlikely but never impossible) π₯Ή
I'm still shaking bcz I love him so much. MODC was the best thing that happened to me(still is). yeah gurl I'm…
Hope you've recovered by now lol π MODC really was SO GOOD! I loved it so much that I didn't have the heart to finish it π I got about 2/3 of the way through the series but then saw the spoilers for the ending and only wanted good memories to remain, so I put it on hold π Maybe I've gotten better at sad endings now so I might just give it a rewatch π₯Ή
"Like reading a drunk person's thoughts" ... dying, that's so good. And "a middle schooler's poor attempt at writing…
Yessss haha A middle schooler that's drunk on expensive Trader Joe's Vanilla Extract they stole from their mom's baking pantry lmao (kids have ACTUALLY done this - there's articles) π It's a nice 'no brain cells required' series to watch - if u question too much, the series will fall apart, so it's best to think of it that way π
It all comes down to principles, and this just shows you have none
I can't wait anymore - let me hitch a flight to SK real quick πββοΈπ¨

Regardless, something being legal doesn't make it morally right or acceptable

They were so good too! I'm rooting for Min Jae π₯Ή
And we're getting Xiumin next week!
He's probably gonna take over as MC from ep 3 onwards :)
