I love Gong Chan and that's why I'm scared to watch this 😭
I saw a few clips and feel that acting isn't his strongest suit , plus the chemistry with his co-star just wasn't giving anything. I'm afraid I'll cringe through some parts and I just can't see my baby go through thatπŸ₯Ή
I wanna watch for the side couple tho since I really REALLY love Won Tae Min 😭

UGHHH, the DILEMMA

I'm guessing that this is where they first kissed? During school?

A messy throwback to old kdramas where the ML is a jerk and the FL is just plain DUMB.

Literally, WHAT was this??? Other than being funny, this drama had nothing going for itself. The SML was so charming and nice to the FL so I have no idea how anyone could NOT fall in love with him! I was swooning for him through my screen lol (IF I COULD MARRY HIM, I WOULD! PLEASE LET ME MARRY HIMMMM 😭)
His 'Jackson' was my favorite line, and whenever he was on screen, I knew I didn't have to abuse the skip button. On the other hand, the ML was BORING. He was a rude asshole with no redeeming qualities in my eyes which is why I could not root for the main cp in the end. I ended up dropping the show in the last 2-3 episodes because the second lead syndrome was so strong and I couldn't bear seeing him cry and be sad (also because I didn't like the FL or the ML). As for the FL, she was just, a wrecking ball. Like I get that you're messy and that it was the plot of the show, but the dramatization of anything and everything that happened with crazy facial expressions and loud screaming, just kept her from earning my favor. It was insane how dense she was too. Even though I watched this a few years back (when I had literally 0 standards for kdramas or entertainment in general & thought it was a CRIME to drop dramas), I could still tell how much of a shit-show this was in terms of plot and ended up dropping it lol (The first drama I ever dropped uwu TT __ TT).

Not worth anyone's time imo, unless you're watching it for your favorite actor. It's initially a 6.5/10 for me but just because of the comedy and my soft spot for the SML, I bumped it to a 7/10 (I was quite literally hung over the SML, I was thinking about his for WEEKS)

Omg this was so CUTEEEE! Definitely one of the best J-BLs I've seen so far!

Everything from the plot, to the characters, execution of storyline, pacing and cinematography were done tastefully 🀌 Not to mention how ADORABLE the two MLs were and their chemistry was so sweet and dopamine-inducing 😭

None of the characters introduced felt unnecessary to the story and there was such a wide variety of personalities that it made the whole drama more rich and interesting to watch. I personally, totally fell for Hashimoto-san and the teacher! It was just so wholesome to see everyone overcome their prejudices and learn to accept others for who they are, irrespective of their significance in the MLs lives! And the teacher was so supportive too , let me just go cry in a corner 😭

Overall, loved this cute fluffy series and everything about it is perfection in my eyes. There were no draggy instances, they events all contributed to their personal growth or a progressed their relationship. Such an easy watch too! Definitely will be coming back to this for a quick pick-me-up since it's not too long and has great rewatch value! Ughhh, my heart is still fluttering because of these two 😭

Wasn't The world of the married the highest rated Korean drama ever?
Wow, I did not know that! Thanks for the trivia!
Also, that show was fucking WILD. I have PTSD from watching it because it was so toxic & messed up. I'm kind of surprised that the Korean gp tuned into it so much! I mean I do get it, it was messed up, but it was so gripping that I could not put it down 😭

I guess taste really is subjective cause this drama fell REALLY short of it's potential for me. The trailer promised me brilliant chemistry & angst but what I got instead was forced skin-ship, pro-longed bullying, and a male lead with anger-issues. Now that particularly is not my kind of thing so it made the whole watch for me that much more painful & cringe.

I couldn't separate my list of things that I liked & things I disliked cause they both go hand in hand so you're gonna have to trudge through my trench of word dumping. For starters, I really enjoyed the sweet moments cause they were quite... well, sweet! Their youth showed really well in the time they spent in the old practice room after Je Oh & Se Heon started to come around to one another, and the way Se Heon gradually fell for Tae Yi & finally confessed. What I did not like was Tae Yi's reaction to the confession & his minimal character development towards the end of the series (we were just going in circles). While Se Heon was adorable, Tae Yi was simply too toxic throughout the series for there to be left any redeeming value for him in my eyes. Also, I appreciated the fact that Se Heon stood up for himself against his ill-tempered bf.

Another thing I loved was the chemistry between the second couple, Joo Ha & Do Yoon. They made me hold my breath & anticipate what would happen next whenever they showed up in the same frame lol. I was rooting for them more than the main cp & had butterflies at their last couple of scenes. They were robbed of their share of screentime, I swear! 😭😭
Since Do Yoon is really "pure" & needs to be protected at all costs, I can't think of someone better for the job than his sunbae Joo Ha. They are quite literally the portrayal of sunshine & sunshine protector, which is a dynamic I really enjoy. But that's about where the good things end cause if I were to even think about the hell that Joo Ha put my boy Do Yoon through, then I wouldn't be speaking with words anymore, my fists would be doing the talking instead, and that too directly with Joo Ha's face. That little btch bullied my ray of sunshine AND tortured him emotionally! I'd tell Do Yoon to run away if Joo Ha hadn't had any character development but towards then end I could see that the guy was trying (and also suffering). So, yeah, Joo Ha's personality in the beginning really made it hard for me to understand how I would ever root for them but then their chemistry shut me up (& now I'm seated & praying for them to have their own series 😭)

Lastly, the cinematography 🀌
I knew I was right to have my expectations high for cinematography when I saw that the director who made A Shoulder to Cry On was listed! The lighting, shots, and color grading were just *chef's kiss*. The pacing was maybe a bit off at times (mainly towards the end) but it was still comprehendible.

P.s. I would've loved to see Tae Yi & Se Heon's brothers' story develop but sadly the writers just had to do that 😭 And the cameo was such a nice surprise! I squealed πŸ₯Ή

After the sob fest I had in Episode 7 & 8, the directors better bring back Soo Ho in S2, even if it's for like 10 minutes, if they don't want me to sue them for Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress and pain 😭

I remember watching this shitshow 4-5 years ago because I thought the couple was REALLY good-looking, but I just could NOT get past the problematic ML and the messed up plot! The only good thing that came out of watching this was that I learned how to say "Swadikap" for the first time and do the Wai. This was maybe my first Thai drama with Boys for Rent being my second one, and I dropped both like hot cakes lmao. Safe to say, I was traumatized by them both for a good while and never watched anything from Thailand until I found out about Sotus, like a year after.
Thanks to that, I've been brough back to the world of Thai dramas, and some have managed to become my favorite series EVER (Kinnporsche, ITSAY, Triage, Bad Buddy etc). Just wanted to come back here to reminisce my introduction to Thai dramas lol

This looks so good! I think it's been a very long time since I could feel the overwhelming chemistry between the leads from just the trailer! Can't wait for this to blow up and get the recognition it deserves!

I'm so glad I watched this drama when I did because the comments in the comments section don't do it justice at all! I would've definitely been deterred from watching this drama which has now made it into my all-time favorites list, and is something that I've rewatched a countless number of times!

It is by no means perfect but the imperfections are more than made up for by the depth of the characters and their chemistry. For me, no other romcom was done as well as this one, and I keep missing the characters even after 4 years 😭
Would recommend in a heartbeat

This is giving the same energy as "I can't decide what to eat, so I'll just order the whole menu and take half a bite each instead of enjoying one dish" πŸ’€
Like I get u got ur creative juices flowing and now want to produce multiple series with all the ideas u have, but just pick a plot, or 3, and stick to it! Do it with detail, and do it well! That way fans are happy with a decent story, u make money & then get to produce MORE series (instead of just shoving everything into one drama & calling it "shorts" - film yt shorts in that case then πŸ’€)

Bitch, FIFTY 1 minute episodes??? REALLY?
Half the run-time is going to be taken up by the intro + ending credits so it's essentially just 30 seconds each! Just release it as a short film instead of doing this ffs 😭

I'd love to watch that...we need that drama! My boring guess is that they have '4 minutes' to save the life of…
I get that. The first 2 episodes were just laying out the setting and plot so it probably wasn't moving as fast. Since you've already powered through the first two episodes, it should start to pick up it's pace now. You'll get to see how Tinn's choices change the outcomes & what consequences he has to ultimately face because of them!
