BRUH, all these kdramas with cross-dressing female leads are soooo ✨🌈GAY🌈✨
Like what do u mean, the main lead sees a "man" and is super intrigued with "him" (romantically, might I add). Follows them, shares smiles and little touches and does not end up having an identity crisis???? Like what????
IMO, if the director is bold enough to add cross-dressing, they should have the guts to add in some of that gay panic too. It would be sooo nice to have some more lgbtq+ representation in kdramas, especially these gender-switching sageuks, with some bi-panic or actual sexuality questioning. Not saying that it should become the main plot or take up like 5 episodes, but having about 5-10 minutes dedicated to addressing those not-so-platonic feelings towards someone of the same gender would do good.
That was my one complain with Mr. Queen too. Like my dude just went from kissing a man and sleeping with him to his normal life in the future without even batting an eye. Like at least cry a little over "the love of your life" or at the very least be like, "Am I gay or bi?".
Anyhow, despite these (very very) minor plot-holes and not so fond tropes of mine in some kdramas, I will continue to live, breathe and sht kdramas for the rest of eternity.
I really wish this to be good, like really really...
I'm desperately praying for the same 😭
I love both the main leads and that's why I'm giving this drama a chance, even though the premise sounds very confusing and the trailer wasn't as captivating. Like, I genuinely hope this drama does not end up being a disappointment because that would be such a waste of these two talented actors 🥹
This site is still pirated but just minus the ads (There's the occasional pop-up if you don't have an adblocker extension installed). I've been using this site for the last 3 years and it's got so many dramas & that too with good quality! Just install the an adblocker extension & you won't have a single ad show up EVER!
FL, for example, wishes the evil bish to get cancer in her stead in plain text. I mean, yea, she's an irredeemable…
The manga was WILD 😂
It was sooo good! The plot twists were SO unexpected like never did I expect Min Hwan to be sterile or for Sumin to be such a bish to call Ji-Won's mom! Like gurllll, I knew u were crazy but not to the extent that u'd contact the woman that your dad ran away with (who also happens to be Ji Won's mom) while behind bars just to spite her. Like lay lowwww for god's sake lmao
Tbh, I'm kind of split over the way things are playing out in the drama. The whole "self-defense" arc seems pretty unnecessary but I like how we're already getting Eun Ho X Hui Yeon crumbs! Hopefully things play out well & the drama doesn't end up being a let down in the revenge department :)
The urge to ask the manga readers how did she get her revenge! How did the toxic cheaters end up! But nope. It…
The webtoon was really good! I binged it after watching the first 2 episodes of the drama (cause I'm impatient, hehe). The plot twists were so unexpected & the story was really well written. There's no major plot holes that I could find and the events are pretty cohesive & make sense as to why they'd happen (nothing comes out of the blue like getting amnesia lol).
So far, the drama has done a few things differently from the original text which is good as they don't have a lot of time to show everything that happened as it is. Let's wait & see how the changes they made in this version change the events that happen in the future :)
It's so nice to see kdramas venture into more relatable & healing topics, like addressing Burn-out & not just treating these symptoms as depression or laziness. I'm sure a lot of people have experienced this at some point of their lives due to the competitive nature of the world we live in, especially, after Covid times, when it was just us & our thoughts, stuck within 4 walls for 2 years.
The plot sounds interesting & the cast seems impressive, just hope that this drama delivers what it promises.
He might be handsome but his personality (from what we've seen so far) is insufferable. He's the typical egoistic…
U hit the mark with him having a big ego cause ALL his actions so far have only been fueled by that. Gets 5 candies -> inflated ego -> acts obnoxious -> makes contestants & viewers go "EWWWW" = fcks himself over & doesn't go to paradise until the last visit (imo, he didn't deserve that visit either 😔)
Get it together & be humble Habin, or someone's gonna humble you themselves real soon
Doesn't anyone want to talk about Habin? I really like him because he is very handsome even though he has very…
He might be handsome but his personality (from what we've seen so far) is insufferable. He's the typical egoistic male that thinks making weird comments & not talking makes him macho & more likeable (as seen in the short clips after their campfire scenes)
This is all so true.At first, I was not so fond of Ha-jeong, but in the recent episodes, especially after her…
Omg yessss another Jin-seok appreciator! He's seriously the greenest green flag this season. Bad boys are way too overrated imo, we gotta start appreciating guys that make girls feel secure and comfortable in a relationship way more. Also, now that I think about it, Jinseok reminds me of a smiley buff bread bear lol
And yup, Hajeong was speaking straight FACTS 💯
Hopefully that was the case with Habin and we get to see a better side of him in the upcoming episodes because otherwise, it would be a great injustice to his looks lol. His personality should apologize to his face
First off, where can I find a man like Lee Jin Seok?!?!? Cause damnnnn, he's fine as hell! In ep 4 & 5 we could see more of his charming & considerate side. He's funny, understanding, is willing (and more importantly good) at COMMUNICATING. Bonus is that he's got the looks and the bod. He's my solid pick for the men this season. Hopefully, he ends up with someone that actually cherishes him as much as he does them.
Ok, for the ladies, I have just been gravitating towards Hye Seon since ep 1. She's sweet, smart, bubbly, enthusiastic and a total cutie! I would love for her and Min Kyu to hit it off some time soon since he seems nice too!
Now for Ha Jeong, I wasn't too fond of her in the initial episodes because I just found her to be a bit conceited and rude (major mean girl vibes) but after ep 5, man I've definitely grown more fond of her. She knows her worth & I like that she speaks up for herself and addresses any comments she finds offensive or disrespectful. When she was going off on Gwan hee, I legit became her cheerleader and was like "Go girl! Put him in his place! He doesn't deserve your time!" lmao 😂
For now, these 3 were the only ones that stood out to me in a positive light. As for the people I'm not really warming up to, it would be Yun Ha bin (Gave me narcissist vibes in these last 2 episodes. He did NOT pass the vibe check for me, there's something "off" about him. Idk why but he seems like the type of person that'd be good at manipulating others), Lee Gwan hee (Just EW. Walking red flag 🚩. 100% would throw him in a ditch & run away to another continent if given the chance), and lastly, Kim Gyu Ri (seems to have a lack luster personality - she has the looks but there's no substance to her character (from what I've noticed). But from the gossip scene among the girls, I saw a more straightforward side of her when calling out Gwanhee's BS. Hopefully we'll get to see more of that in the coming episodes).
Bishhh!!!! I had zero expectations going into episode 16 after the mess that was episode 15, but I am pleasantly surprised! It ended up being so good! We got the play! We got sweet moments! And we finally got actual plot! Well done! The finale is good enough to make me forget the chaos of the previous 2 episodes!
if they make a season 2 then i hope soo ho comes back at some point because si eun became who he is today because…
Tell 'em bestie 😭😭 We need our captain for team 'Si Eun is cute' back!
Also, never have I cried more for a character's "death" 🥲 I swear I could've built a dam with the tears I shed at the end of episode 7. My eyes were RED and SWOLLEN and I legit paused my tv to go cry and then played some more and then cried again. Took me 30 painful minutes to get through those last 5 minutes 😭
Never read the manga so when I watched episode 8, I scared myself shitless with the hysterical cackle I left out when I saw Soo ho in the hospital! Had anyone else seen me, I would've been sent to a hospital myself (just imagine a deranged person laughing alone in their room at the tv with tears and snot on their face, ok maybe w/o the snot part 😂) Also, I was just relieved to see Soo ho alive, I swear I'm not insane (totally believable after all the shit I said before 🙄) or sadistic : /
Anyways, Bumseok could eat glass for all I care 💅😌
This is a lot longer than I initally planned 😅 Sorry about that!
P.s. If you want to rant (about the show or just anything in general) you know who to hit up ;)
That's right. Buddhism doesn't have a particular God they worship. But they still believe in spiritual enlightenment and that there is a supernatural power/being out there. All rituals are aimed towards gaining that enlightenment and reaching Nirvana. Even though Buddhism doesn't have a God, there is still mention of a "spiritual power", which can be referred to as God for simplicity and understanding.
P.s. I never mentioned any religions. Plus, the only goal of a religion isn't to worship God. Each one has their own goals and beliefs so it's fairly obvious that not all religions have a deity.
Also, I'd appreciate it if you took your snarkiness somewhere else...
⚠️Major plot reveal ⚠️ Do not read further if you haven't seen the drama! You've been warned...
So, I totally did NOT expect my Soo Ho to end up in a hospital bed at the end 😭I bawled my eyes out when episode 7 ended thinking he d-worded. I sooo fcking wanted to punch the living daylights out of Bum Seok on so many occasions!!!! That ungrateful B**ch! 🤬 He just ended up doing to his friends what his bullies did to him at his previous school! Made Zero sense to me! How do you not get flashbacks to that time or even get the courage to be heartless and cruel? *smh*
Now moving on to the happy part; I adored the friendship between Soo Ho and Si Eun! It's so pure, strong, reliable and loyal that I just- CAN'T 😭 They'll fight the world if the other one gets hurt! NO questions asked!!!! Also, they have such good chemistry whenever they're on screen together! They don't have to talk, their eyes speak for themselves. The love, care and respect they have for each other shows in everything they do. Borderline soulmate behaviour if you ask me 😌
I hope we get to see more of this duo in season 2! The preview for the second season already looks interesting! Fingers crossed that this comes out in 2023!!!!
And can I just say, that the teachers are worth sh*t in this show 😂 Students be bleeding and breaking bones, screaming at the top of their lungs, and these mfers don't give a flying fck as to what's going on 😂
Honorable mentions: I would like to thank Wheenie for obsessing about this show on her youtube channel and also myself for acting out of character and finally watching a hyped-up kdrama. Loved it! 10/10
