yup.. we have years of her acting.. she can't act to save herself.. i am waiting for feedback before i start..…
As for being objective, I AM being objective lol
I literally stated all the points where she performs well. As for you not liking her, that's subjective (on your part). You literally said "base it on their own perception of her 'acting' .. for me she has never been good"
That's YOUR perception, meaning it's subjective, so don't go around preaching about objectivity when you don't even know what it is.
yup.. we have years of her acting.. she can't act to save herself.. i am waiting for feedback before i start..…
Ok....?
I was literally just asking u a genuine question? And like you said, I was stating my opinion just like you did in your comment (if you don't want others to start a conversation about your likes and dislikes, simply don't comment in public comment sections? Especially if you can't answer respectfully). There's really no need to be that aggressive
We're all here to watch some good series and relax.
As for delivering emotions, I think she does it very well (that's my opinion, just like you have yours). Also, fyi, she's not some overhyped actress that has fans just from how popular she is. She has fans because of her remarkable performances in the series she's taken part in. As for me, I'm just a casual drama watcher and appreciate whoever performs well on screen (pretty rude of you to judge others to be "drooling in fan fetish" just because they happen to have an opposing opinion to yours).
I was actually introduced to SSK through 'Run On' and really liked her there. We all have our opinions but don't go around shoving them in everyone's faces lol. You don't like her? Just skip her scenes or something. There's literally no need for you to be wasting your energy on replying to EVERY SINGLE comment defending her.
you're so real for the Mr. Queen one cause at least the original explicitly hints that he liked the king
Haven't read the novel so I can't comment on how well they managed to express "Mr. Queen's" emotions but I'll take your word for it :)
I honestly had higher expectations for the handling of the ending because the directors made a good point of showing Bong Hwan's panic in having to kiss another dude. Like his character was definitely questioning itself, as to whether he liked the king himself or it was the queen's feelings being projected on him (which to me is total bull because then he would've had those feelings for the king since the moment he switched bodies).
But yeah, it was a nice comedy, with a good budget and ok plot. The real stars were the actors and their competitive tendencies. Especially the royal cook and Mr. Queen lol. You just knew something was about to go down whenever those two showed up on the screen together
Yes I agree. They can make Jin Han bisexual! That would be great. He can like men & women 🤭😌 He’s a royal…
Exactly my point! He's a prince, if anyone were to have the luxury of being in a homosexual relationship, it'd be him cause the royal officials would do everything in their power to keep it a secret! I loved how they portrayed that in 'A Frozen Flower' (not the movie itself, but the whole situation of how many knew about the king being gay but said nothing).
Oh wow! I didn't hear anything about Jeong Nyeon so thank you for recommending it! A chance to see Kim Tae Ri in another GL after 'The Handmaiden'? Sign me tf up!
haha yes:(( it was a bit different in King's affection I'd say, the ML was kind of worried(?) about the fact that…
It's honestly been a while since I finished that drama so my memory isn't the best but I do remember being very disappointed with how poorly they handled the ending and the sexuality crisis of the (fe)male lead.
just go on kisskh and most of the dramas listed on the main page are one gender love stories, plenty represented
I've used that site plenty and do appreciate the content we get from different countries about M X M and G X G relationships but I was just talking about the blatant erasure of some very obvious emotions that come with being attracted to the same gender in more mainstream dramas. While I do love the spotlight that these pairings get in their own sub-genre, I'd also like to see more directors making an active effort in not treating homosexuality as something "different". It's love. They could try incorporating gay side-couples or same gender love-interests once in a while.
Some dramas do that very seamlessly, even though at times very subtly. I'd include Move to heaven, Nevertheless, Love with flaws, Chief Kim, The Devil Judge (cause u CANNOT convince me that a person would just go LIVE at their head judge's home, cook for them, and have crazy amount of tension in every eye contact UNLESS there was something more going on - can u tell I'm obsessed?) and Reply 1997 (with an ACTUAL CONFESSION????). Like adhskshfdasklfjas
I just think it's a bit insensitive to be still using the same cross-dressing trope and not shedding light on the actual hardships or confusion that comes with being in a situation where you fall for someone of the same gender (especially in the Joseon Dynasty)
yup.. we have years of her acting.. she can't act to save herself.. i am waiting for feedback before i start..…
Why is it that you think that she "can't act"?
She delivers the emotions well, her expressions are good (way better and suited than the average "one expression fits all" male leads), her tone is good, the characters she portrays suit her. So I don't get where the hate is coming from?
What exactly is it that you think she doesn't do well?
BRUH, all these kdramas with cross-dressing female leads are soooo ✨🌈GAY🌈✨
Like what do u mean, the main lead sees a "man" and is super intrigued with "him" (romantically, might I add). Follows them, shares smiles and little touches and does not end up having an identity crisis???? Like what????
IMO, if the director is bold enough to add cross-dressing, they should have the guts to add in some of that gay panic too. It would be sooo nice to have some more lgbtq+ representation in kdramas, especially these gender-switching sageuks, with some bi-panic or actual sexuality questioning. Not saying that it should become the main plot or take up like 5 episodes, but having about 5-10 minutes dedicated to addressing those not-so-platonic feelings towards someone of the same gender would do good.
That was my one complain with Mr. Queen too. Like my dude just went from kissing a man and sleeping with him to his normal life in the future without even batting an eye. Like at least cry a little over "the love of your life" or at the very least be like, "Am I gay or bi?".
Anyhow, despite these (very very) minor plot-holes and not so fond tropes of mine in some kdramas, I will continue to live, breathe and sht kdramas for the rest of eternity.
I really wish this to be good, like really really...
I'm desperately praying for the same 😭
I love both the main leads and that's why I'm giving this drama a chance, even though the premise sounds very confusing and the trailer wasn't as captivating. Like, I genuinely hope this drama does not end up being a disappointment because that would be such a waste of these two talented actors 🥹
This site is still pirated but just minus the ads (There's the occasional pop-up if you don't have an adblocker extension installed). I've been using this site for the last 3 years and it's got so many dramas & that too with good quality! Just install the an adblocker extension & you won't have a single ad show up EVER!
FL, for example, wishes the evil bish to get cancer in her stead in plain text. I mean, yea, she's an irredeemable…
The manga was WILD 😂
It was sooo good! The plot twists were SO unexpected like never did I expect Min Hwan to be sterile or for Sumin to be such a bish to call Ji-Won's mom! Like gurllll, I knew u were crazy but not to the extent that u'd contact the woman that your dad ran away with (who also happens to be Ji Won's mom) while behind bars just to spite her. Like lay lowwww for god's sake lmao
Tbh, I'm kind of split over the way things are playing out in the drama. The whole "self-defense" arc seems pretty unnecessary but I like how we're already getting Eun Ho X Hui Yeon crumbs! Hopefully things play out well & the drama doesn't end up being a let down in the revenge department :)
The urge to ask the manga readers how did she get her revenge! How did the toxic cheaters end up! But nope. It…
The webtoon was really good! I binged it after watching the first 2 episodes of the drama (cause I'm impatient, hehe). The plot twists were so unexpected & the story was really well written. There's no major plot holes that I could find and the events are pretty cohesive & make sense as to why they'd happen (nothing comes out of the blue like getting amnesia lol).
So far, the drama has done a few things differently from the original text which is good as they don't have a lot of time to show everything that happened as it is. Let's wait & see how the changes they made in this version change the events that happen in the future :)
It's so nice to see kdramas venture into more relatable & healing topics, like addressing Burn-out & not just treating these symptoms as depression or laziness. I'm sure a lot of people have experienced this at some point of their lives due to the competitive nature of the world we live in, especially, after Covid times, when it was just us & our thoughts, stuck within 4 walls for 2 years.
The plot sounds interesting & the cast seems impressive, just hope that this drama delivers what it promises.
He might be handsome but his personality (from what we've seen so far) is insufferable. He's the typical egoistic…
U hit the mark with him having a big ego cause ALL his actions so far have only been fueled by that. Gets 5 candies -> inflated ego -> acts obnoxious -> makes contestants & viewers go "EWWWW" = fcks himself over & doesn't go to paradise until the last visit (imo, he didn't deserve that visit either 😔)
Get it together & be humble Habin, or someone's gonna humble you themselves real soon
Doesn't anyone want to talk about Habin? I really like him because he is very handsome even though he has very…
He might be handsome but his personality (from what we've seen so far) is insufferable. He's the typical egoistic male that thinks making weird comments & not talking makes him macho & more likeable (as seen in the short clips after their campfire scenes)
This is all so true.At first, I was not so fond of Ha-jeong, but in the recent episodes, especially after her…
Omg yessss another Jin-seok appreciator! He's seriously the greenest green flag this season. Bad boys are way too overrated imo, we gotta start appreciating guys that make girls feel secure and comfortable in a relationship way more. Also, now that I think about it, Jinseok reminds me of a smiley buff bread bear lol
And yup, Hajeong was speaking straight FACTS 💯
Hopefully that was the case with Habin and we get to see a better side of him in the upcoming episodes because otherwise, it would be a great injustice to his looks lol. His personality should apologize to his face
Even if it was how things happened in the Joseon Dynasty, it doesn't make it "right". We know better now, and can call out the creepy act.
And "gentleman"? Lmfao, miss me with that bs
So the king knew in the novel? Now that makes things interesting...😏
