I know that romance is not really the point of this drama, but is there any romance at all? (Listen, the real world is really awful right now, so I need my revenge thrillers to be padded out with some fluff.)

I felt the same! But I did wonder if maybe part of the problem might be the subtitles? Maybe something got lost in translation? I prefer Viki for that reason, but the best Korean dramas are always on Netflix these days.

Oh man, I don't know if that's the character or the actor. It seems like all Kim Go Eun's co-stars look at her that way, as if she smells like warm chocolate chip cookies. The admiration is palpable. But thank you, this is helpful!

Is there any romance? I need something to liven up what seems to be a pretty heavy drama. Squid Game already filled my "sad and dark" quota for the next ten years.

Go Won's eyebrows are an actual insult to the actor's face, but this drama is otherwise replete with eye candy.

The production quality is terrible. And by terrible, I mean criminally bad. But the chemistry is off the charts!

This is entirely fair, but you REALLY should make and exception in this case. Chen Kun and Ni Ni are absolute GOLD together. Just do what I did and pretend the last episode doesn't happen.

I actually really like it. Acting is A+, production quality is A+, and I personally think the story is a solid A. A lot of people are unhappy with some of the choices the writers made, but they made sense to me. Idk, I recommend watching it.

Why is there no fanfiction for this on AO3???? All those missing scenes left me wanting more.

I mean, that's definitely fair, but I personally don't want to spend time and emotional energy on a main lead if there's no return on investment. It tends to leave me feeling unsatisfied even when the story and character development is really good. Honestly, I was hoping for a kind "friends with benefits leads to love" scenario. This may just not be the drama for me, which is fine.

For the people who have read the webtoon, can you tell me if it has a happy ending? Do the mains end up together?

The central characters are mostly SO well-acted. The older actors are of course excellent, but even the younger ones are great. Zhang Ruo Yun has done such a good job. Something about his expressions and mannerisms put me in mind of a young Chen Kun.

Oh, for sure. It's pretty common. Some Chinese actors dub their own voices, but by no means all of them. And Taiwanese actors like Sandrine Pinna are always dubbed by Mainland voice actors whenever they do Mainland films or dramas.

Wu Jin Yan is only thirty! In what medieval universe is she "old" and "gray"? Wow, show business really is hard when you're a woman...

Well, that's exciting. I hope they take the narrative in a better direction and that they do a better job overall with the secondary characters. I'll definitely miss Zhao Liying, though.
