Title Idol I Spoiler
loving this drama and I'm a huge fan of Soo Young but idk the FL is so flat. there's nothing particularly interesting or likeable about her, the least she could do is not treat the second ML like he's her robot slave. and I get that it's supposed to be funny and quirky that she doesn't have any hobbies or interests outside her job and the ML, but it doesn't make her any more likeable and yes it's a red flag, of course he's gonna react like that finding out she was his fan the whole time. just bc she became his fan and "loved" him before he became an idol doesn't make her behaviour any less weird? like get a life lady idk

it's the first time in a while I feel hooked on a drama. I will say though, the trivialisation and sanitisation of evil acts committed by real people in history is a little icky to me. I know it's fiction!! but it appears to me that South Korean men are so awful irl they have to romanticise a literal tyrant to make them look good LMFAO. but Imma look past it cause the chemistry and dynamic between the leads is SO good ugh

very weird and confusing drama that doesn’t know what it wants to be. the focus of the story keeps changing so much so that it makes me feel like I’m being gaslit like I must’ve skipped an episode/scene or maybe they’ll come back to address certain plot points in a few episodes but I’m tired. the leads imo have good chemistry but their characters feel so shallow and so do the second leads you don’t really wanna root for anyone cause no one is even likeable it’s all just so meh

One of my disappointments with Extraordinary Attorney Woo was that Kwon Min Woo was never given a proper redemption…
my thoughts exactly. the murder mystery subplot has made this drama such a chore to watch. while I think as a plot on its own it's pretty well done, I just don't think it fits well in a drama like this where there's already so much going on. I'd much rather they just focused on the romance considering the fact that they've now introduced a THIRD potential couple w/ young joo and jae woo which personally I don't mind, I just hate that their little side story won't be given the screen time it deserves

obsessed! I rarely watch melodramas but a melodrama enemies to lovers story has got me intrigued since I'm so used to the trope being associated with comedy/banter. really liking whatever's going on between the leads they already have great chemistry, I'm so curious to see how their relationship develops! and it's so refreshing to see lee sung kyung play a character like this. I also appreciate how much they've de-beautified her and sung joon lol they look so absolutely plain and I'm here for it. how lovely it is to see lsk play a character with long black hair for once

just so in love with whatever's going on between the leads. not really sure how to feel about all the comments about them not having chemistry cause I understand where they're coming from, but I just think it's a different kind of chemistry, it's so subtle imo. it's not like the exciting and steamy butterflies in your stomach type chemistry, this one feels more warm and mature, like their relationship grows on you without you noticing. their connection feels real to me it genuinely feels like the leads have known each other forever. their relationship is far from exciting but I found myself deeply pained when everything hit the fan and chi yeol tried to end their connection, cause he clearly loves haeng seon so much.

I finished the manga a few months ago so I thought I'd watch this and I think the drama enhances the storyline in a lot of ways. I disliked some minor changes (like I dont understand why the main characters were made 3 years younger than they are in the manga) but overall whatever they changed or added ended up working in the drama's favour. this is the first manga adaptation I've seen where I thought the characters looked better than they do in their manga design lol (but very accurate too). also one of the few manga adaptations where the acting didn't make me cringe? as opposed to the manga Hayasaka was developed into such a great second lead that I couldn't help but root for him here, he was very clearly the best option. they also made Key much more likeable here than he is in the manga, simply adding a few nuances to the portrayal of his character made a BIG difference. the drama itself is pretty fun but I forgot how depressed this story makes me cause it forces me to think about the reality of how women over 30 are treated and talked about

easily the most overrated drama of the year, but I can see why people like it especially those new to kdramas. there were some genuinely funny and endearing moments, but the story is nothing new. it’s a light watch, that “I’m bored so I’ll just watch this” type of watch. FL was often annoying and ridiculous but somehow not completely unlikable. choi byung chan stole my heart in this

if lukewarm was a drama; not exciting enough for me to look forward to how the story develops but not boring enough for me to drop it. the actors really did their best here. I feel like the leads had good chemistry but it wasn't utilised properly, it was giving brother and sister honestly. I hated how the romance developed from ML's side, he spent more episodes head over heels for his gf which made his affection for FL throughout seem purely platonic and sibling-like for the most part imo, I wasn't convinced when he finally confessed to her. the second couple was annoying and I skipped through all their scenes, the soundtrack could've been better too. this drama isn't TERRIBLE just terribly average all across the board

this drama would’ve definitely benefited from being 20 episodes long. overall it’s an easy watch not without its flaws but I enjoyed every minute of it so it’s still a 10/10 to me 🤷🏽‍♀️

it works really well for this drama that the romance takes a backseat but still I’ve never wanted a main couple to get together so soon 😣 usually I get bored when the leads start going out this early in a drama but I’m so curious to see how the writers are gonna handle this kind of relationship. regardless I still appreciate the rate at which their relationship is developing and if they keep it up I know it’s gonna feel so rewarding when we see them eventually get together. the wait between episodes is killing me omg

is it starting to be interesting? i kinda watch episode 1 last week but I cant connect with the story flow..
it’s not a drastic improvement but the last 2 episodes made me go from total disinterest in the beginning to looking forward to seeing how the story progresses

this drama had a rough start but I think it has the potential to be good? I actually like the entertainment industry backdrop and I’m enjoying the side characters though unfortunately they detract from the leads’ storyline. LSK and KYD have good chemistry but their characters have yet to grow on me, they don’t feel quite fleshed out enough.
