okay so i've only seen 3 mins of ep 5 so far, but the way mr gu literally FLEW to get her hat, flew back & then carried on w his work like nothing happened is so funny, im gonna cry
ooh my feelings for all the characters are so mixed!! i can't decide who i like and dislike but it's nice, it makes the characters feel more realistic bc everyone's got good & bad sides
i hope this isn't too similar to makjangs like sky castle, penthouse, mine & high class. why are rich parents obsessed w their kids being crazy talented/clever always a thing in most makjangs? i wanna see smth new in this sort of genre. also i hope these 2 didn't ruin their friendship over a man. i don't want that to be the main focus. anyway it's too early to judge completely, i like the characters so far, just really hoping it isn't the same old storyline

unfortunately yes. we even saw that other soldier on night duty walk in & walk straight back out, purposefully ignoring it. so i'm assuming most of the other soldiers are all aware but decide to be bystanders either because they're scared, victims themselves or they don't care
i know noh taenam's a messed up guy but i'm genuinely scared for him. it's disgusting how that senior soldier sexually harasses his juniors & how no one does anything about it. NTN is probably his next target, remember when he called him a "pretty boy" & looked at him weird.
also i'm not excusing NTN's previous actions but i do think the root cause of his behaviour & attitudes in life is because of his mother. if she could be cut out his life & if he was punished for his crimes & received therapy, he might be able to change for the better.
this is a masterpiece! i know if it was aired on a more mainstream platform, it would get the hype it deserves but icl, i'm kind of glad it's underrated. sometimes things are better off gatekept so the hype doesn't ruin it

i love this drama, one of the best cdramas i've seen so i do recommend finishing it. but that was the one of the 2 things that disappointed me :( qiqi deserved better. it was like he never fit in anywhere
my take on noh taenam: i'm not defending him bc he's mad (like his mum) as well as selfish but at least we've got an explanation for his madness. he was raised by a mother who prioritised her career over him. & not getting that attention as a developing child is probably the stem of why he acted out as a teen by bullying his peers etc, an unhealthy outlet for his resentment. & instead of teaching him properly, his mum gave him crazy disproportionate punishments like holding that live grenade in the dark pit. stuff like that would just instill more anger & fear towards her. that's probably why he's such a messed up adult w no empathy for anything but his dog, the only being that's loyal to him
i've got goldfish memory. i'm watching a business proposal & every time his character's onscreen i recognised him but couldn't remember from where so i've come here. and it's bc i've watched the king's affection but who is kim gaon??? omg why's he been completely erased from my mind?
