What a busy few days I had; Thanksgiving holiday and all. Today, finally, I can sit down and finished the drama.…
I agree, I have qualms with the drama but Timmy Xu did a bomb job turning a character who could be "Just Another Cold CEO" into a character with depth!
Hi, thanks for reading this article ^^, i love this drama too! Woah, i don't know there is different meaning in…
No problem! You did a great job on it.
My own name is a Slavic spelling of a typical English name. It has a different meaning and also pronunciation but no one says it the way it should be said! (I don't harp on it though). So. I kind of understand the Xu Jing Jing issue! I thought it was also cool that their names kind of express a part of their personality.
God I LOVE THIS DRAMA. Thank you for writing about why people should watch it. It's a slow burn relationship but the friendships that are built were worth it for me, as someone who is a romance genre fan. The ending is satisfying af.
I just wanted to add for people who are curious as to how they differentiate the two Xu Jing Jings. It was something I helped someone with on the MDL comments and other places I viewed the dramas' comments. The two Xu Jing Jings names are pinyin-wise the same! In Hanzi/meaning/pronunciation they're both different. You learn with your ears to consider which Xu Jing Jing the characters are meaning. *I'm not Asian nor am I fluent in Mandarin etc so if anything is wrong let me know.*
Main Character Xu Jing Jing (许晶晶 - meaning: Xu for "to promise" Jing Jing for "the full moon") said Shh-oo-uh Jee-ung Jee-ung. Supporting Character Xu Jing Jing (徐青青 - meaning Xu for "narrate" Jing Jing for "youth") said Shh Oo Chi-ung Chi-ung. I know this may not help everyone but it may help some people learn how to differentiate easier.
This is one of my favourites of the renditions so far, if not the most. I loved their chemistry as much as I loved "My Best Summer". And if there's a drama-version contender it'd just have to be Hu Yi Tian playing a Sheng Huai Nen. I need to go back and revisit the novel gdi lmao!
We need more Xin Yun Lai roles please! He has a killer smile.
Sunny days, cloudy days, rainy days. Which do you like?
It's probably because the stylist wasn't well versed in styling bleached hair. Also looks like he has a perm which bleach isn't good on top of a perm. (Unless it's styled that way). Just looks like they needed to put oil on it. He could also have curly hair normally which I do too and bleaching my curly hair made it very stringy and unhealthy in the same way.
I'm so proud of him for being in Under the Queen's Umbrella! I loved him in "4 Reasons Why I Hate Christmas" and "The Colours of Our Time"! So happy to see him in a popular drama.
These healing dramas where the FL moves to a "quiet town" with "country folk" seem to be really popular nowadays.
I got into the melodrama/healing dramas when COVID hit. I enjoy them the most when I am watching a suspenseful or super serious drama at the same time.
As a demisexual I am excited to see a gray-zone representative in a Dorama ; ;! I wonder if he's asexual or demisexual?
Yes that doesn't differentiate. I mean if he's either that's super cool to see in media! :>. (Demisexuality is about falling in love with someone's personality before sexual attraction.)
I have no spoilers, but I'm sure you can find some in the earlier comments. Maybe do a search on the novel :>?
