I stumbled upon this movie as it was subbed.. I do recommend if you like calm-toned movies with soft character development. And if you need a bit of a cry but a good one.
Is this worth watching or filler drama? Many mediocre kdramas recently I feel...
I quite like it so far! It's not filler but underrated. I saw you comment this on Cheer Up. I like this drama much more than "May I Help You" and I don't necessarily have any problem with "Cheer Up" I just prefer the "May I Help You" vibes. It's rather emotional but so far the characters are fleshed out well and aren't 2-Dimensional.
As for the drama, I am loving the story but I do not like at all the main actress. Sorry I find it unbelievable…
In Japan, her teeth arrangement is considered attractive :>! It's called "Yaeba". Not that you're not allowed to have your own tastes in outer looks, like for sure! To each their own.
Leo has always been thin, yes he is thinner than bfr. He worked too hard, he did his own dangerous stunt (U’ll…
He's also a ballet dancer! How can you say someone who does ballet is weak!? I grew up with a friend in professional ballet, my legs and feet could never deal with the amount of damage and hard work they deal with. So 100% this.
can someone describe the drama for me or reasons I should watch it for?? I love youth dramas but I'm not in the…
There are deep variable emotions. Not so much romance yet, there are feelings there for some of the characters but they are pretty quiet due to the fact that they are in high school and there are laws/rules against hs students dating. (It's essentially about a girl who needs a tutor in homework and a boy who wants to lose weight to be healthier at the beginning.)
I'm a 31 year old lady who's enjoying this youth drama, it's very lovely so far. We're 14 episodes in and we watched intense character growth for all characters involved. It's nice to see that none of the episodes have been bland.
So far just on Episode 8.. My favourite summoning was him refusing while watching tv and holding an umbrella. Just his like. Complete disappointment LMFAO.
In Pinyin (English Alphabet) yes they have the same name! But in Chinese names the characters in Hanzi are often different and mean different things. There are also only 4000 surnames for 1.5 billion people! Xu Jing Jing, our lead female, is 许晶晶 which means Xu for "to promise" Jing Jing for "the full moon". Xu Jing Jing, our second female lead, is 徐青青, Xu for "Narrate" and Jing Jing for probably "youth" but they have many different meanings for this character! They're also verbally said differently but since some English people are overwhelmed with reading and keeping up with the storyline through subtitles, we miss out on pronunciation differences. FL's name is said like: Shh-oo-uh Jee-ung Jee-ung, SFL is said like: Shh Oo Chi-ung Chi-ung. To be fair FL's name sounds stronger and SFL's name sounds softer/more feminine to my ears.
I could get the Hanzi, pronunciation and their meanings wrong, I am an Anglophone Canadian and not at all Asian. (I'm Algonquin-Huron/French Canadian). I wrote their characters in a pinyin-to-hanzi translator and then I used a dictionary (not google translate) to figure out the pronunciation. I'm not fluent, I just have an Art History degree with specialization in East Asian art and researched a lot on translating Hanzi for my essays.
Unfortunate foreshadowing.
Please Drama Gods ; ;.
Just drop them!!
