Ok I am interested and into this. But. I giggled that they said they're in Canada but they're using American currency in the first episode. Just a funny thing I noticed as a Canadian :P.

I definitely understand the accents situation. I'm Canadian and I live in a particular area where there are multitudes of different French Dialects. Some of them I can barely understand!

She does! But a lot of Mandarin-Speaking actors are actually dubbed over. It's not taboo, it's actually because there are so many accents and dialects of Mandarin that sometimes it gets hard to understand those actors who don't speak a 'mainstream' Mandarin. So if they feel the actors need dubbing, they either use the actors and have them dub over their lines with a clearer voice or they have some amazing voice actors who do it professionally.

From what I recall Nene has an accent since she is from Thailand with Han ancestry.

But as Chocolatepies said they were both adults by the time. If you've watched up to now the timeskip is like 2 years. And it's nice because Jiaxu did not allude to grooming her or anything. He thought of her, when she was a child, as a child. I really love Jiaxu as a male lead. Learning that "Secretly, Secretly but Unable to Hide It" was getting a drama I knew that people would enjoy how lovely--and naturally diverse--our ML was.

As a reader of the novel. The way this progresses is beautiful and sweet. I'm so happy that they made his life so easily picked up by people.

I don't see a romance tag, I am a fan of them. But I actually love slow-burn/super slow-burns! So if it's anything I would be ok with a slow burn romance. But I agree, Lu Si is one of my fave actresses. She can carry a whole show by herself!

I do love the Kappa hahaha. The part where Chuying sends the statue to his family made my heart happy. I do wish we had some footage of him with the statue after that episode! Kappa-Wife. We need a spin off.

I so want Chuying and Zhao Wan to be a thing! Omg. I was like "Oh the baker is cute" and then Chuying and later Yiyong made a comment about the sweets being gross and I was like "UH OH. IS HE A SERIAL KILLER?". Years of True Crime, man. But after seeing how Zhao Wan treated Chuying I was enjoying his character.

I think Yiyong knows they're married lmfao. Guangyan's dad also approves, he gets Guangyan out of the house! Omg I cried when the Kappa came around. I don't know if I'd consider that his first true love, I do see the Kappa as the first one to see Yiyong's true heart outside of his family.. I wish he stayed around more.)

(My Lakorn/Dorama BL inner fan wants more in S2 as well. I actually made some weird sounds when Nonkul came on the screen. I was so surprised cause I didn't review the cast before!).

Ugh I'm still here rewatching Guangyan's cries and screams of desperation. His amazing acting during that scene. We don't need a confession scene to know his depth of love for Yiyong. I feel the same from just how Yiyong reacts to Guangyan and constantly seeks Guangyan out for when Yiyong is most vulnerable.

I love Chuying so much as well, as their older sister-figure. I never got the idea she could love Yiyong romantically but she has made him family for sure.

I am with everyone, we need a Season 2 and I'm not a Season-2-Kind-of-Person.

Editing to add: I just want to point out that Guangyan's screaming and going into shock is more deep and a sign of love because Guangyan is a medical student. This will be his every day.)
