I watched it last week. First I watched fantasy movie "My happy marriage" which I loved btw. Then I wanted to watch more from ML actor, and I found "Silent". It was beautifully made, and I recommend it as well!

It's different...in Japanese version FL was 20 yo, she was young, expressive, vivid. And they had great chemistry!
Here ML is late 40s and FL is mid 30s. And to be honest, this FL is so sad all the time,sorrow, long face... But I guess writer wanted to show her as melancholic type. But at the end of the show she showed number of childlish, immature behaviours that destroyed her character completely. They were just inconsistent with how she was shown before. Until now I think ...WTF?
But go for it, I don't think you will regret watching it.

Well, they met by quincidance few years after the break-up under the same apple tree that they had met for the first time. They were smiling at each other and couldn't take eyes off of each other. It is great drama. Very old school, but just great!

No, Japanese version was not the same. I never got the impression that his deafness was big problem for her. There was one scene though when he made her angry and she screamed that he sucks, because they can't listen to music together. But right afterwards she brought him bag of apples and apologised for saying smth so stupid. And btw.She was 21 yo.
In japanes version conflict was built mainly on other people involved in their relationship -his ex fiance and her male friend. She did grow up. She understood mistakes she had made, she knew she has to grow up and she needs time, and she wrote him letter, that she couldn't even send,that he was the best that happened to her.

Well, I would still give it a try. There seem to be half-half. Many people liked it as it was. Many people were disappointed by the ending. You never know.

I watched both. I liked original drama much more. Even though JWS was superb in his role, smth was missing. It was not consistent and the ending was rushed and not earned, leaving rather disappointment than satisfaction.

I loved j-drama, the scene on the beach in the last episode was masterpiece!

Yes. They meet again under the same apple tree as they met for the first time. They smile and can't take eyes off of each other.

You saw it wrong, it was random face of random stalker. DH saved her because he was there. How...well,he liked her, he knew she had a stalker and he knew he has to protect her because JW couldn't. So he was seen many times by witnesses around her. Therefore they pined it on him. Gossips were circulating that he was stalker. And his problem was that neither JW nor she did anything to tell the truth, to defend him, to say he was not a stalker.

I was confused about smth else. She made him feel guilty and sorry about his disability, made him even apologise for it...so how did they end up together again.

Yes...this guilt trip she made was just too much. I don't know why the writers decided on such a bold, insensitive move.

Yes, both were constantly self-centred and soooo sad. It was almost torture to watch those long faces all the time. Constipated,haha-perfect word. I thought that writers should have paired FL's best friend with ML. She was full of life,happy, crazy but sensitive and attentive.

This is soooo beautiful! I watched already few episodes and can't stop. I am when he took her to hospital with fever. I am not the one who asked for it but thank you for recommending this. Just great!

Yes, ME TOO! Especially that there were so many other REAL reasons for her to feel lonely and concerned. The show could raise awareness, it could depict how important learning basic sign language in school would be, so that deaf people and their partners don't feel that lonely and excluded from social life. Just to name one.

Ach yes, both were extremely self-centred.
No wonder both were single until late thirties/early fourties. This made sense. Happy ending didn't make on the other hand any sense.

She did ...When he proposed, she said "I'm sorry, I can't marry you because I cheated on you. I didn't trust you."

What are you, five? He forgave her for this cheating. He sent her the letter to start again. She was the one who didn't forgive herself!

I have one tip for you, if anyone comes to you crying,completely broken,in deep despair from whatever reason....don't take them to bed. They are so vulnerable, that it is TAKING ADVANTAGE over them.

Watch the show again. She ended up alone. What happy ending for her?

No, FLs friend took clearly advantage of her. And there is no doubt about it.
She has just found the rig of ML's ex in his bedroom and when confronted he admitted that ex slept in his bed previous night!

She was in such a state that her friend shouldn't even confess his feelings to her.Not mention sex.
