Space sci-fi movie with an interesting storyline

This movie is a hell of a ride of sci-fi entertainment with a purpose. It kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.

Let's start with the CGs, it was made masterfully and outstandingly. I'm not really a fan of space sci-fi movie but this kinda changed my mind. I love how the movie also have an interesting plot that can stir the audience's emotions.

Another plus is the casts, the team inside the Victory Ship had that chemistry making it more convincing that they are a team. Cute Dorothy also made my heart melt because she's so innocent and pretty. Making a female captain also made this unique from most line up although to be honest, Song JoongKi still have the 'captain vibes' more than TaeRi but still a great execution.

It's rare for me to want watching a movie on a cinema but this is one of the movies I would pay for to watch it on that blockbuster cinema environment. (Unfortunately, it's only available via Netflix)

I really recommend this movie. In fact, I can consider it as one of my favorite Korean movies of all time.

Jam-packed with amazing plot and casts , more than just a heist film

This film is thrilling, exciting with a lot of stories in one.

The plot of the film is an art on itself. At first you might think this is just a heist film that will amaze you with their cool trickery to perform the heist, deceit and betrayals but it's totally more than that. It actually gave a little bit of almost everything from romance to drama altogether without ruining the mood of the film. The ending is also correlated to how it started so it's one of the best wrap up in the movie that I've seen.

All the actors were actually known as veteran actors and actresses that actually gives more excitement on each and every scene. Although everyone performed well, I specially notice Jun JiHyun on this film. It might be my personal bias because I really watched this film because of her in the first place after I heard that it was filmed while she was pregnant given that most of her scenes here were actually wire scenes. I was amazed by the fact she was doing that. After watching the film, I realized that this films seems to be a premonition of her succeeding dramas like how sassy and goofy her character is on My Love From The Star partnered with Kim SooHyun and also Legend of the Blue Sea from the pool scene.

If you're into films that's more than just what it seems, this is highly recommended.

A great detective variety show and drama in one

This is seriously a great show if you love variety shows, detective-like missions and for a bonus it follows a main plot line like a drama as well. From what I know this is semi-scripted because as I've mentioned there is a main plot line going on throughout the series. But most of the lines are spontaneous as well making the connections among the casts real and natural. You can think with the cast on the challenges and also laugh with their unintentional gags. Aside from the missions/challenges they were solving the main story plot twists will also blow your mind. It's like a mystery within a mystery so this is really something that is a full package.

The casts were chosen effectively because each character gives off different flavors which complements on each other so the comedic side of this show is not forced at all. I really liked that there is a contrast going on among the casts where some are smart solving the problems and those who were lagging behind but was able to surprise us with an unexpected skill they were good at.

The next season is a must watch as well. I definitely recommend this show with two thumbs up!

Revenge, family, love... was it all worth it?

City Hunter will always be one of those classics that lives rent free in my brain. I’ve rewatched it a few times, but seeing it again as an adult added layers I didn’t fully catch when I was a teen. The political angles, the revenge plot, the emotional weight, the action sequences... everything hits a little deeper and somehow still stays exciting. It’s a heavy setup on paper, yet I found myself enjoying every scene like it was my first watch. And the OST? It’s been on my playlist for more than a decade since I first watched it.

Normally, I’d nitpick character choices left and right, but this drama gets a hall pass from me because of how much unspoken emotion is tucked into the story. Sometimes characters act messy or illogical, but that’s exactly what makes them feel human. And of course, Lee MinHo shines like the dependable go-to actor he is. Park MinYoung also caught me off guard. I remember her as this young version from City Hunter, so watching her newer works made me realize how gracefully she leveled up over the years.

This might not be everyone’s comfort genre, but if you love Lee MinHo or you’re looking for a solid action driven drama with heart, this is an absolute must-watch.

My kind of vibes since I have few loose screws too~

I honestly didn’t expect to love Screwballs as much as I did. The first few episodes felt a bit shaky, and I thought it would be another variety show that fades into the background but it completely grew on me. The main hosts’ dynamic is gold; their chemistry reminds me a bit of Running Man, even though the format is totally different. You can tell how naturally they bounce off each other.

It made me wish I could watch BeatCoin, since the hosts often reference it. I’d love to see how their bond started and how that chemistry was built from the ground up.

My only gripe? One full segment equals four weeks of waiting, the pacing of the releases was brutal! Still, every episode felt worth it, and now I’m excited to dive into Season 2 soon. I really hope they keep this energy going and give us even more episodes to binge.

📌 Watch this if you love chaotic, witty, and heartwarming variety shows that grow better the longer you stick around.

Finally Found My Long-Lost Fave

Another blast from my tween years. Romantic Princess still hits that sweet spot of nostalgia and daydreams. I swear, it’s one of Wu Chun’s best shows (and Calvin Chen’s dimples? I simply cannot). Watching it again feels like being a tweenager all over, swooning over fictional princes and fairytale setups.

Story-wise, it’s got that dreamy, delulu energy, very Meteor Garden or Boys Over Flowers-coded, with four boys and one main girl (though not everyone’s romantically involved). It’s cohesive, fun, and not too long, just the right balance of drama, fluff, and emotional pull. Everyone’s stubborn, sure, but their motivations make sense, and you can’t help but root for them.

I’ve rewatched this one too many times to go through it again soon, but it’s definitely a drama I’ll always treasure. Romantic Princess is one of those shows that stays in your heart, glitter and all.

📌 Watch this if you love nostalgic, fairytale-style dramas that make you feel like a lovestruck tween all over again.

Adulting with Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu

If It Started With A Kiss gave us the thrill of first love, They Kiss Again let us peek into the chaos and sweetness of married life and honestly, it’s even better than other adaptations because of all the extra details. It’s longer, richer, and gives us the kind of snoop into Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu’s relationship that fans can’t help but crave. And unlike most sequels, this is one of the rare dramas where Season 2 doesn’t disappoint at all.

When I first watched this as a teen, a lot didn’t resonate with me but rewatching as an adult, it hits differently. I appreciate the growth in the characters, and Xiang Qin’s persistence stands out as truly inspiring. She’s unrealistic at times, sure, but her strong-headed nature makes her a role model for consistency and never giving up. The addition of her new friends was also refreshing, FINALLY, more green flags than red.

I especially loved the extra focus on Yu Shu’s life and budding romance. It made the whole world feel bigger, and the characters more layered. Cheesy, dramatic, even a little unrealistic but that’s exactly why I adore it. It feels like growing up alongside them, flaws and all.

Touching story or just morally wrong?

This was recommended to me as a touching story, even compared to "Miracle in Cell No. 7" but it was far from it. I do understand from what angle they wanted to portray the plot as a 'heartwarming/touching' story when an old, always drunk man, found an abandoned baby, and then the baby became his direction in life so he started working hard to raise the kid.

Then we downgraded to a grandfather who's now using the kid to con people? From street vendor to con artist real quick. Another problematic thing is how they are trying to earn money using other people's desperation like couples who for some reason cannot have kids of their own so the thought of adopting is like a beacon of light only for it to turn out to be a scam and instead of a child, they welcome a thief instead. It becomes more problematic when the grandfather says, "There are 2 types of people, those who fool others and those who get fooled."

I understand that some people can be really beyond poor and can be considered as a victim of poverty -- it may explain why they commit crimes but it is never an excuse. After few con gigs, the grandpa eventually put the kid's future above himself and left him with a couple who's willing to adopt the kid but there were no resolutions to everything that he taught the kid wrong. There were no explanations about how stealing and fooling people is never okay for whatever reason. Don't get me started on how they spend the money they get from stealing. I just can't imagine why he downgraded from someone earning small decent money from working/selling to someone who opted to fool people even calling it 'donations'. They also had a lot of chances where someone really wanted to help them with genuine care. Not just adopt the kid but to help them both. To give Kid an education and him -- a shelter but he still chooses for them to chase the one-day fun together, with no direction at all.

It was a whole disappointing plot and I kinda hope there is some redemption towards the end but nothing. It was swept under the rug of time just because he eventually gave up the kid (finally considering Kid's future) and went on his own -- God knows how he lived whether he continued stealing or worked for himself, it's still up in the air. Then we just fast forward to a grown-up Kid who's finally reunited with the grandfather before he passes. (Which also makes me wonder, how did Kid grew up like it's an interesting scene to see him in therapy. How he interacted with other kids after attending school, were there missing items at school because of him. The kind of childhood he had would definitely affect him as a grown-up so it's unrealistic that he's just a normal adult.)

I definitely would not recommend it. Everything that I said above sums up everything that happened hopefully, saving you some time.

Mini Scarlet Heart Ryeo: Fun + Romance + Time Travel

I first watched this drama more than 5 years ago and I forgot the details but I did remember it was a short and I really loved it. As I rewatch it today, few years older and more mature, I appreciate this drama special more.

It's like a movie-length drama special but the plot is simple and interesting. A bit of humor, romance, historical and time-travel elements. I honestly wanted to watch more but at the same time, I feel like it was wrapped up so well that it already satisfied me.

I also didn't realize that I've known Ahn HyoSeop for years. I always thought he was a newbie.

If you came across this one, I can guarantee that this is a classic and it's something you wouldn't want to miss out on. I sometimes compare this to Scarlet Heart Ryeo, only shorter with less complications and heartbreak.

I rarely watch dramas that was recently released but this is an exception because the FL is Kim SoHyun with the bonus ML of Hwang MinHyun. I was too excited that as soon as I heard the series is finished, I gave it a try and oh boy I was in for the ride.

To be honest, it's not the best plot out there but I was just kind of interested on the supernatural part of the FL being able to hear lies and how will ML come into picture. I've been trying to avoid kdramas with crime genre as I've been watching too many but somehow, I keep getting pulled towards it. Anyway, the plot is kind of simple with a pinch of lovey dovey moments here and there. There's not much structure on the story it just went on and went which is probably the reason why I saw someone saying that the plot is so random.

Character wise, ML and FL looks cute together (but for some reason I really can't ship SoHyun with anyone) A lot of people saying about 2nd Lead Syndrome and it's true. 2nd ML's story while short is really sad. The supporting characters I feel like were underused. I couldn't feel the chemistry among them because they randomly pops up on the series. I was hoping to see more character development from them. :3 and also what's with the crazy characters on this series? The mothers, Syaon (although she got better), the ex-gf, the ex-gf's brother and secret (don't wanna spoil anyone). They all have some sort of psychopathic tendencies. While it helped the plot, they're too crazy for me.

OST-wise, nothing so remarkable about it. Just fine. What I love though is the ending. For me it's a nice wrap up (as someone who loves happy ending), my heart is so happy to have 2 full episodes just to wrap things up and give almost everyone a nice ending. It's uncommon for KDrama series to have that kind of ending. Most of them wrap things up on the last 30mins keeping you hanging for more. But for this one, it's just enough.

Definitely, recommend. Despite the quirks of this series, I would say I love and enjoyed it. Maybe not a cup of tea for everyone but still, it's just a semi-light-hearted drama that's easy to watch.

Behind the scenes of our beloved stars

I really enjoyed watching this drama and the feels of having multiple leads. This had the most numbers of successful pairings out of all the kdramas I've ever watched.

What appeals to me is that it's kind of new to me wherein the whole drama is all about the behind the scenes of entertainment stars. There's a lot more drama behind the scenes than the ones on screen. It was also relatable to watch and somehow just fluffy and light-hearted. I laughed a lot of times because of the simple antics inserted throughout the series and also find myself crying with the casts as well.

For me this was very well portrayed and is worth the watch. Additionally, the OST is really catchy that I love it so much. It's my first time seeing the male lead on a drama and I'm kind of curious about his other works.

I highly recommend this one if you're just in to rom-coms. Or you just wanna watch something chill.

One of the best crime-law series I've watched. Simple concepts yet so deep.

I love this drama for several reasons and I'll tell you each of the reason why you should need to add this on your watchlist.

1. Very deep meaning using relatable situations for almost everyone. One of the things I really commend about this series is the fact that they used common scenarios that can be understood easily. They also didn't add a lot of law technicalities so even if law genre doesn't interest you or you don't know anything about law, you can still enjoy it.
2. The colorful characters. In most dramas we identify who's the main leads and who are the villains however in Juvenile Justice, it's difficult to draw a line. Everyone has a fair share of good and bad in them that it's really hard to tell whether they're a good or bad person. Personally, I can't stop myself loving all the characters.
3. The actors and actresses. Of course, this series won't be successful without the casts outstanding portrayal. Kim HyeSoo did not disappoint and she perfectly embodied a judge who is strict and serious but at the same time uses logic and compassion to teach the juvenile offenders a lesson. Her portrayal is certainly outstanding. On the other hand, Kim MuYeol, another actor who's known for versatility. His character here is a lot more passive than the previous shows/movies I've seen which is why I'm a bit sad. His portrayal as an associate judge who's very emotional and show empathy to all the juveniles is on point but I guess his character as Judge Cha TaeMu is a bit plain. Compared to Judge Shim's character, who's very fierce and aggressive, Judge Cha's saint-like personality has been outshined by Judge Shim's unique way of handling her cases.

Actually there's a lot more to expect from this series and it's definitely worth the watch. I hope you try watching this and fall in love with its heart-wrenching show filled with a lot of lifelong lessons.

Very serious moviewhich pokes around animal rights, corporate world and genetic mutation

I have been delaying to watch this movie for years. I actually thought that it is a light-hearted movie but I was wrong. This movie questions serious problems such as animal cruelty for the sake of business profits and genetic mutations. Unfortunately, these kind of movies are not really my cup of tea.

I'm kind of curious if there's a sequel because I felt like I needed to know more details to fully enjoy the movie.Another thing is that I was hoping for a happy ending however it didn't end as I expected. Casts were able to portray their roles reasonably and the graphics are amazingly outstanding. It makes up at least half of the movie itself.

All in all, this was a pretty decent film if you have free time. If there will be a sequel, I'll be watching it for sure to know further about Mirando's company and AFL.

Cunningly exciting and also incredibly heartfelt

This series is really amazing from the story, the characters, the CGs and the execution. I can't really wait to see the next Season.

What I love the most in this series is how engaging and interesting the story. It also gave a variety of genres with a perfect balance, from comedy, drama, crime, and fantasy. It started with these main characters who is working on a noodle shop and also a devil catcher at the same time and as the story progresses, you'll get to know more about their past and personality. It also introduces new characters that makes up this big picture that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I also love how the story is presented in an engaging way making you want for more. Unlike other series which keeps you frustrated because the climax is too far, this series gives off several impactful climax being more and more intense as the story goes on. I find myself screaming and crying with the characters because I was able to relate with the characters as I am watching them. It's also more exciting seeing the villains and main characters have a head-on fight instead of the usual crime series with 15 frustrating episodes where the villains win and then on the final episode, the villains gets defeated.

The chemistry of the Counters is really commendable as well because they really give off that 'team vibe' which makes you root for them more. The character development is also reasonable because you've got to see how the character's complexity is being shown as you move along through the series. The individual characters both for main and also villains gave different life lessons you can pick up along the way.

Before I even forget, a very good job to the CGIs, it didn't disappoint at all. It makes my heart beat whenever I see the Yung Territory. I know it's just a simple CGI but the impact to me is so great that I even get goosebumps because it's not too much but it's not lacking. Just the right amount of CGIs to keep me impressed.

If you want to watch a great an unique series that will keep you on the edge of your seats and will leave you wanting for more, you should definitely watch this!

Are you ready to fall in love again?

Disclaimer: If you had a first love, the memories will surely come back to you in flashes while watching this movie whether it's sweet, bitter and even bittersweet. I'm not sure what you'll feel watching this if you haven't fall in love before yet but it will surely give you an idea what falling in love means. This is a movie that portrays romance in reality.

I've been eyeing this movie for quite sometime after I saw BoYoung and YeongKwang leading this movie. They are both versatile actors and the posters already shouts 'chemistry' between them so I have no doubt this will be a great movie. So going into it, the plot about first love is a common thing in dramas and movies but the synopsis of getting a wedding invitation from your first love surely makes the audience curious as to what will happen but what I love about this movie is that as soon as it started, I forget that the goal is about the wedding invitation. Instead, it invites me to the world of first love from high school, to college and adulthood until it eventually gave out, what I'm really curious for. The plot build up is consistent, I don't know for others but I find myself engaged to every scene from start to finish.

What I also love about it is that the casts were able to own up to their roles realistically. I was able to picture out what a high schooler looks like, to what a college student looks like and also until they became adults. You can really feel them maturing throughout the movie. Minor flaw though, some transitions where not as smooth as what I usually expect but it's barely noticeable anyway.

This movie seriously flooded me with emotions both positive and negative and I feel like grew up a little bit by just watching it. A great story + amazing script + fantastic portrayal = realistically perfect movie that's just right my alley. I really commend the writers for bringing up this work of art and also for all the staff that made this come to life. As much as I love to spoil, I want you to watch this movie and enjoy the ride of ups and downs through out the movie and realize that it's not about the destination but rather the journey.
