It's Dangerous Beyond the Blankets: Pilot

Great casting bringing my favorites together and the awkwardness is really funny.
The concept of the story isn't really bad. It was actually creative from my perspective and I love it because I got to see more of the reality of the casts. Although it might not be really an 'entertainment material' due to the blank and awkward moments. Some people might find it boring specially if they are not familiar with the casts. Personally, it's fun for me. I had great laughs on the awkwardness of these 'homebodies' and I wanna see more of it. I am a 'homebody' myself so somehow I can relate to them. The casts have unique personalities but commonly on the introverted side. It's funny to watch them making a fun game into a boring one due to their awkwardness and it's really touching when you see them bonding together.
The editing team was able to bring dull parts to life and I don't really mind those dull moments because it's very realistic. You will know that it's really them and they are showing who they really are.
I am looking forward with the continuation of this because I'm really expecting them to be closer with each other.

Shocking on an unimaginable level
First of all I would like to say that of all the historical drama or movies this one left me speechless. On the first few minutes I was already shocked at an unimaginable way. I didn't see what's coming. As I stride along the story, it slowly shows the absurdity of life -- homosexuality, treason, love triangle and secret affairs. I got some confusions with the emotions maybe because I'm not able to relate so much with the homosexuality theme but still it's a really good one, maybe with less explicit scene. I think it would be better if the characters like the Chief and the Queen was able to express more of the love in a different way other than doing 'it.'The casts are really plausible. They've done their best to give life to the characters that they portrayed. It was too convincing that I even thought they're not just acting. Blank Jihyo really shocked the hell out of me. I was watching her on Running Man and I didn't expect that her acting skill is this superb. I really commend her for that. Specially the King and the Chief, they took a very challenging role and was able to conquer it.
I really love the sound of traditional instruments on historical dramas. It gives off peace and uniqueness. It intensifies as well the theme of the story.
This might be part of my medium priority in re-watch.

Fairly good even if the Chinese version is better for me
I am not really a fan of genre which involves murderous acts with psychotic suspects because I don't really get why are they doing it. It just makes me feel upset and I want to kill them myself. I watched this because I previously watched the Chinese version of this and I think it gave more impact than this Korean version. The plot is quite unique because it utilizes the idea that being handicapped is not a reason for you to stop trying. It doesn't make you less of a person. Also it's good to see a younger version of Seung Ho as well on this movie and his presence actually gave a bit of an impact to this movie plus a bonus of Park Bo Gum on his younger years. The sound effect keep the mood going and adds more thrill to the scene. It's really not a type of movie that I would want to watch again due to personal taste but I think it is fine overall.

The story is good overall but it's too draggy in the middle
As for the story, it might be a bit predictable but still it's fine. You can grasp the lesson through it's simplicity although there were conflicts on the story that are being dragged on making the story progression a bit slow and boring. It's a typical plot of the main lead being trampled over but became successful towards the end. It also introduces that a woman can date younger man and age is just merely a number. The casts were pretty good in their roles. I noticed that Jang Na Ra is quite good in the roles of being bullied and that kind, soft-hearted to the point that she seems like a fool and warm person 'feels' just like on Fated to Love You. The male lead has that immature role and I think it was way too immature than how it is supposed to be, but still I love that concept of him loving the female lead as if he will do anything for her.
The music is not that notable, it doesn't give much of impact to me but at least it sets the mood of the drama correctly.
It's a pretty decent drama and I didn't regret watching this, it's just unlikely for me to give this another round to watch those 20 episodes again because it doesn't gave me that much of excitement and I feel that I'd rather discover newer drama to watch than to rewatch this.

The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch

This is so disappointing. I'm heartbroken that I have to drop this.
The Uncanny Counter is proudly one of the best k-dramas I've watched and I even recommend it to everyone that asks but this Season 2 is utterly disappointing. The depth from Season 1 is just gone out of the window. The characters also kind of downgraded from their complex back stories from Season 1, they became a boring backdrop. It doesn't even feel like a team fight than they first started. Jeokbong became a laughing mascot. Like wth? I heard the writer changed but this is super sad and disappointing. I think I'd rather read the webtoon version than finishing this. This is is one of the rare instance of me having to drop a series because the story is getting draggy and I just know there's a low chance of it getting better. But I am hoping I'd pick this up again in the future and possibly give it a second chance.

Space sci-fi movie with an interesting storyline
This movie is a hell of a ride of sci-fi entertainment with a purpose. It kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.Let's start with the CGs, it was made masterfully and outstandingly. I'm not really a fan of space sci-fi movie but this kinda changed my mind. I love how the movie also have an interesting plot that can stir the audience's emotions.
Another plus is the casts, the team inside the Victory Ship had that chemistry making it more convincing that they are a team. Cute Dorothy also made my heart melt because she's so innocent and pretty. Making a female captain also made this unique from most line up although to be honest, Song JoongKi still have the 'captain vibes' more than TaeRi but still a great execution.
It's rare for me to want watching a movie on a cinema but this is one of the movies I would pay for to watch it on that blockbuster cinema environment. (Unfortunately, it's only available via Netflix)
I really recommend this movie. In fact, I can consider it as one of my favorite Korean movies of all time.

Jam-packed with amazing plot and casts , more than just a heist film
This film is thrilling, exciting with a lot of stories in one.The plot of the film is an art on itself. At first you might think this is just a heist film that will amaze you with their cool trickery to perform the heist, deceit and betrayals but it's totally more than that. It actually gave a little bit of almost everything from romance to drama altogether without ruining the mood of the film. The ending is also correlated to how it started so it's one of the best wrap up in the movie that I've seen.
All the actors were actually known as veteran actors and actresses that actually gives more excitement on each and every scene. Although everyone performed well, I specially notice Jun JiHyun on this film. It might be my personal bias because I really watched this film because of her in the first place after I heard that it was filmed while she was pregnant given that most of her scenes here were actually wire scenes. I was amazed by the fact she was doing that. After watching the film, I realized that this films seems to be a premonition of her succeeding dramas like how sassy and goofy her character is on My Love From The Star partnered with Kim SooHyun and also Legend of the Blue Sea from the pool scene.
If you're into films that's more than just what it seems, this is highly recommended.

A great detective variety show and drama in one
This is seriously a great show if you love variety shows, detective-like missions and for a bonus it follows a main plot line like a drama as well. From what I know this is semi-scripted because as I've mentioned there is a main plot line going on throughout the series. But most of the lines are spontaneous as well making the connections among the casts real and natural. You can think with the cast on the challenges and also laugh with their unintentional gags. Aside from the missions/challenges they were solving the main story plot twists will also blow your mind. It's like a mystery within a mystery so this is really something that is a full package. The casts were chosen effectively because each character gives off different flavors which complements on each other so the comedic side of this show is not forced at all. I really liked that there is a contrast going on among the casts where some are smart solving the problems and those who were lagging behind but was able to surprise us with an unexpected skill they were good at.
The next season is a must watch as well. I definitely recommend this show with two thumbs up!

Revenge, family, love... was it all worth it?
City Hunter will always be one of those classics that lives rent free in my brain. I’ve rewatched it a few times, but seeing it again as an adult added layers I didn’t fully catch when I was a teen. The political angles, the revenge plot, the emotional weight, the action sequences... everything hits a little deeper and somehow still stays exciting. It’s a heavy setup on paper, yet I found myself enjoying every scene like it was my first watch. And the OST? It’s been on my playlist for more than a decade since I first watched it.Normally, I’d nitpick character choices left and right, but this drama gets a hall pass from me because of how much unspoken emotion is tucked into the story. Sometimes characters act messy or illogical, but that’s exactly what makes them feel human. And of course, Lee MinHo shines like the dependable go-to actor he is. Park MinYoung also caught me off guard. I remember her as this young version from City Hunter, so watching her newer works made me realize how gracefully she leveled up over the years.
This might not be everyone’s comfort genre, but if you love Lee MinHo or you’re looking for a solid action driven drama with heart, this is an absolute must-watch.

My kind of vibes since I have few loose screws too~
I honestly didn’t expect to love Screwballs as much as I did. The first few episodes felt a bit shaky, and I thought it would be another variety show that fades into the background but it completely grew on me. The main hosts’ dynamic is gold; their chemistry reminds me a bit of Running Man, even though the format is totally different. You can tell how naturally they bounce off each other. It made me wish I could watch BeatCoin, since the hosts often reference it. I’d love to see how their bond started and how that chemistry was built from the ground up.
My only gripe? One full segment equals four weeks of waiting, the pacing of the releases was brutal! Still, every episode felt worth it, and now I’m excited to dive into Season 2 soon. I really hope they keep this energy going and give us even more episodes to binge.
📌 Watch this if you love chaotic, witty, and heartwarming variety shows that grow better the longer you stick around.

Adulting with Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu
If It Started With A Kiss gave us the thrill of first love, They Kiss Again let us peek into the chaos and sweetness of married life and honestly, it’s even better than other adaptations because of all the extra details. It’s longer, richer, and gives us the kind of snoop into Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu’s relationship that fans can’t help but crave. And unlike most sequels, this is one of the rare dramas where Season 2 doesn’t disappoint at all. When I first watched this as a teen, a lot didn’t resonate with me but rewatching as an adult, it hits differently. I appreciate the growth in the characters, and Xiang Qin’s persistence stands out as truly inspiring. She’s unrealistic at times, sure, but her strong-headed nature makes her a role model for consistency and never giving up. The addition of her new friends was also refreshing, FINALLY, more green flags than red.
I especially loved the extra focus on Yu Shu’s life and budding romance. It made the whole world feel bigger, and the characters more layered. Cheesy, dramatic, even a little unrealistic but that’s exactly why I adore it. It feels like growing up alongside them, flaws and all.

Sweet, Savory, and Slightly Strange
This drama’s plot is honestly out of this world — literally and figuratively. It mixes fiction, sci-fi, aliens, comedy, and mystery into one big corny yet entertaining ride. While the humor leans on the cheesy side, I still caught myself laughing at the absurdity. That said, it took me more than a month to finish because it didn’t exactly pull me in. The curiosity factor wasn’t strong enough to keep me bingeing, but I pushed through just to see where it would land.
Overall, it’s a fun watch if you want something light and bizarre, but aside from its wild genre mash-up, there isn’t much that stands out. Still, props for serving up a unique flavor.

Touching story or just morally wrong?
This was recommended to me as a touching story, even compared to "Miracle in Cell No. 7" but it was far from it. I do understand from what angle they wanted to portray the plot as a 'heartwarming/touching' story when an old, always drunk man, found an abandoned baby, and then the baby became his direction in life so he started working hard to raise the kid. Then we downgraded to a grandfather who's now using the kid to con people? From street vendor to con artist real quick. Another problematic thing is how they are trying to earn money using other people's desperation like couples who for some reason cannot have kids of their own so the thought of adopting is like a beacon of light only for it to turn out to be a scam and instead of a child, they welcome a thief instead. It becomes more problematic when the grandfather says, "There are 2 types of people, those who fool others and those who get fooled."
I understand that some people can be really beyond poor and can be considered as a victim of poverty -- it may explain why they commit crimes but it is never an excuse. After few con gigs, the grandpa eventually put the kid's future above himself and left him with a couple who's willing to adopt the kid but there were no resolutions to everything that he taught the kid wrong. There were no explanations about how stealing and fooling people is never okay for whatever reason. Don't get me started on how they spend the money they get from stealing. I just can't imagine why he downgraded from someone earning small decent money from working/selling to someone who opted to fool people even calling it 'donations'. They also had a lot of chances where someone really wanted to help them with genuine care. Not just adopt the kid but to help them both. To give Kid an education and him -- a shelter but he still chooses for them to chase the one-day fun together, with no direction at all.
It was a whole disappointing plot and I kinda hope there is some redemption towards the end but nothing. It was swept under the rug of time just because he eventually gave up the kid (finally considering Kid's future) and went on his own -- God knows how he lived whether he continued stealing or worked for himself, it's still up in the air. Then we just fast forward to a grown-up Kid who's finally reunited with the grandfather before he passes. (Which also makes me wonder, how did Kid grew up like it's an interesting scene to see him in therapy. How he interacted with other kids after attending school, were there missing items at school because of him. The kind of childhood he had would definitely affect him as a grown-up so it's unrealistic that he's just a normal adult.)
I definitely would not recommend it. Everything that I said above sums up everything that happened hopefully, saving you some time.

Mini Scarlet Heart Ryeo: Fun + Romance + Time Travel
I first watched this drama more than 5 years ago and I forgot the details but I did remember it was a short and I really loved it. As I rewatch it today, few years older and more mature, I appreciate this drama special more. It's like a movie-length drama special but the plot is simple and interesting. A bit of humor, romance, historical and time-travel elements. I honestly wanted to watch more but at the same time, I feel like it was wrapped up so well that it already satisfied me.
I also didn't realize that I've known Ahn HyoSeop for years. I always thought he was a newbie.
If you came across this one, I can guarantee that this is a classic and it's something you wouldn't want to miss out on. I sometimes compare this to Scarlet Heart Ryeo, only shorter with less complications and heartbreak.

To be honest, it's not the best plot out there but I was just kind of interested on the supernatural part of the FL being able to hear lies and how will ML come into picture. I've been trying to avoid kdramas with crime genre as I've been watching too many but somehow, I keep getting pulled towards it. Anyway, the plot is kind of simple with a pinch of lovey dovey moments here and there. There's not much structure on the story it just went on and went which is probably the reason why I saw someone saying that the plot is so random.
Character wise, ML and FL looks cute together (but for some reason I really can't ship SoHyun with anyone) A lot of people saying about 2nd Lead Syndrome and it's true. 2nd ML's story while short is really sad. The supporting characters I feel like were underused. I couldn't feel the chemistry among them because they randomly pops up on the series. I was hoping to see more character development from them. :3 and also what's with the crazy characters on this series? The mothers, Syaon (although she got better), the ex-gf, the ex-gf's brother and secret (don't wanna spoil anyone). They all have some sort of psychopathic tendencies. While it helped the plot, they're too crazy for me.
OST-wise, nothing so remarkable about it. Just fine. What I love though is the ending. For me it's a nice wrap up (as someone who loves happy ending), my heart is so happy to have 2 full episodes just to wrap things up and give almost everyone a nice ending. It's uncommon for KDrama series to have that kind of ending. Most of them wrap things up on the last 30mins keeping you hanging for more. But for this one, it's just enough.
Definitely, recommend. Despite the quirks of this series, I would say I love and enjoyed it. Maybe not a cup of tea for everyone but still, it's just a semi-light-hearted drama that's easy to watch.
