Maybe not in adolescent costume dramas. I don't get China's fascination with teen/adolescent dramas they're practically flooding the industry, shouldn't they target mature/working adult audiences? I prefer older actors and actresses too, I'm too old to be fluttering over teen love LOL. Chen Kun will never be too old for anything, he's still sexy as hell, though admittedly I've only seen a few of his works, only discovered him because of his films with Zhao Wei and Zhao Wei is one of my celeb crushes, I adore her.

I was gonna stop at he's stuck at playing support role but then I remember Leo Luo's face in his early supporting role days and I feel like maybe Ting Wei has a chance, he just need a breakout role.

I was avoiding to label him as such (Stockholm Syndrome) because I'm finding it hard to relate to their romance as it is so I'm trying to give him a chance to grow out of that childhood obsession. I have no doubt they like each other and wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice themselves for one another, I'm just hoping they'd grow up from this one-track of mind.

I don't feel they're dumbing her down, rather they're giving her an emotional dimension, in which her decision now is largely affected by her emotional attachment to the people around her, i.e. Qing Ci and Man Qing. Also, I think the fact that her sifu is running out of time is affecting her emotional judgment so she's being rather impulsive at times.

Edit: This sifu better be worth it because Yun Luo is risking EVERYTHING to save him. And based on the relationship map, it seems Su Xuan had a part in protecting Emperor Ai who's currently out of the picture but briefly mentioned/shown. OMG, is there a secret league out to protect Emperor Ai so he can come back and overthrow the current useless king? Maybe my Wen Si Yuan is part of that league! Okay, now my mind just wanders far and far away.

Probably both and I think it's a smart move to stay memorable in each production. Honestly, I don't think he has a lead role face so he's probably going to stuck playing secondary or support role, but never say never.

I'm aware of his lady partner. He just confuses me when he's together with Zhu Yan, I guess the point is to emphasize their close friendship/brotherhood but it's taking my mind to another place.

I didn't mean their relationship is romantic, rather Chang Ge seems one-sidedly into Zhu Yan, especially in the Lantern Festival scene.

That's a silly concern. Yeah, I hope they can pair up in the future but I won't hold my breath, C-ent is not short of actors and actresses especially the up and coming, they probably won't pair up again in this lifetime lol. I know about the Mirror Twin Cities but I usually don't get excited over a filming c-drama because who knows if it'll ever get aired.

I feel the same, and I feel like they have boundary issues. She kidnapped him in their childhood but he fell for her instead, he's declaring his intention to live with her and called her his future wife, without even asking for her opinion, like it's a foregone conclusion. I like both of them separately but not as a couple yet.

I just LOVE the secondary couple, from their banters and interaction to their walk together in silence, they're not anything as of yet but clearly discovering feelings while keeping each other at arm's length. I hope they don't turn too angsty later on.

I know where Zhu Yan's heart is, I was thinking of Chang Ge, he's following Zhu Yan like a puppy, a lovesick puppy.

I can see/feel that as I was watching his character observing everyone. He seems easy-going but mysterious, at the same time, maybe a little cold-hearted businessman but actually quite affectionate. I love Ting Wei in this.

It's always like that. When one is pursuing, the other one is indecisive. When they finally get together, it barely lasts a few episodes. Although I think in this case, Yun Luo is used to being on her own so she doesn't quite understand how to share her burden and life with another person, I can see her slowly opening up to Qing Ci though.

Speaking of that, he said in episode one that he died once so it didn't matter but he didn't expect to see her again, yet now it's revealed that he was the one who recruited her so that doesn't quite add up.

Possessiveness is one way to look at it because he's declaring all these 'I want to live a quiet life with you' and 'she's my future wife' one-sidedly, she doesn't object but she doesn't seem into it either. I wouldn't say it's love yet (I don't feel it) but more like an infatuation from their childhood memory.

Episode 14 now! Ah! I've seen this scene in the trailer before, I wonder who's going to be Yun Luo's choice, her master or Qing Ci? (Don't spoil it for me)

There should be a tragic love tag in this, I was looking at the posters and all three main couples have sad/bittersweet expressions on their face. Sun Si Ruo's love story is tragic too albeit not a bad ending for both of them.

I'm very invested in Wen Si Yuan's (why is he labeled as Wen Si Zhou here?) character/background, there's definitely more to him than meets the eye.

I'm talking about the scene after the failed attempt to steal the crane's tail, where Yun Luo refused his help and he said, "My life is yours and yours is mine. After we save your master, let's find a good place and live an idle life together." That sounds like a proposal to me and he hasn't even confessed his feelings yet.

Sad but the truth. I went to bed smiling after watching their bts. I was smiling ear to ear when Leo was complaining that he's not the type to laugh during filming but he burst into laughter whenever he had a scene with Yukee. And when Leo told Yukee to say "I love you" to him too (wedding bts) but she changed it to "me too", so many damn feels. Oh oh oh, and when he complained he couldn't act when she started crying. *sigh I need them in another drama together ASAP!

LOL, no one held my hands either. I freaked out at the first few episodes. Oh mama, no one prepared me for that.
