i dont why people are complaining about this show lol I liked it ... simple romance story without any love triangle/square.... the show's name is quite appropriate... combined family, love, realistic elements, peoples ambition with the right amount of cuteness (second lead couple... love them) .... yeah some parts were exaggerated (moms crazy believes and the elderly couples marriage and affair) but its expected since its a kdrama. They chose the right case as well who did a good job! :)
The only good think about this drama is the actors. The story line sucked tbh
true that lol..... not very interesting storyline... simple almost like a kids fairytale.... it was a hit bcs of the actors (eye candy)... and the hate is simply a byproduct i GUESS (audience jealousy or something in that line of thought)... nothing personally related to the actress imo.
Only way to improve this show was to have a more solid plotline... but that would have taken away screen time and focus from other hwarangs in the show .... i think the whole point of this show in some sense was to provide a space for the people who played all the hwarangs a stepping stone/ next step into the drama scene and ofcourse the eye candy help make into a more commercially successful product.
i saw him in voice and i did not like his character at all (always so rough, dirtyish and drunkish) lol....so dint like him either for a while.... started watching beautiful mind so good acting ... simple great actor..... gonna watch all his other shows now lol

okay so she goes through this whole ordeal and finally marries the yuan emporer (ji Chang wook) casting her lover the korean king (for various reasons i dont remember/... letting go of revenge etc)... and in the end after some time has passed in her happy marriage with Ji Chang Wook..... their trusted euncuh starts to poison Ji chang wook bcs of revenge (as far as i can remember ... he was forced to become a eunuch and blames the yuan emperor for it with no causal connection lol) ... in the end they are both in each others arms crying etc... and he dies in the end :( ... she continues to be empress or empress dowager etc
