My main reason for asking is that before I commit myself to this drama I have to be in the right mind frame. So, I know there is a book, but also I might not remember to ask once the drama is finished, so I am asking now, so that some kind soul will tell me once it is finished as I will get a prompt when they do so.
This was a excellent twisty thriller drama. You really couldn't skip an episode. As a side comment what is it with all the older women/ much younger men in dramas lately..in this case FL 41 and ML 28
I actually enjoyed this drama, not my usual cup of tea, but intriguing and inciteful. She was willing to pay for her sins with no remorse for what she gave up.
I GAVE IT AN EXTRA POINT FOR ORIGINALITY. I ESPCIALLY LIKED THE FACT THAT THE GIRL/BOY REALLY SOUNDED AND ACTED LIKE A MALE TEEN, BUT WAS A GIRL ALL THE SAME.
My biggest issue was that I couldn't remember which episode I was on, so I was referred to MDL and started My Watchlist. It also helps me keep track on what I want to watch. I tend to put all the shows that I might have the slightest interest in the "currently watching" list as I am too lazy to look at two different tabs...ie "planning to watch" LOL Then if I am in a mood I sometimes will refer back to shows I have completed and watch again.

Could be, but I tend to lean toward censorship. Because of all the censorship in place most Chinese dramas are Romances, which they do so often the are one of the best in my opinion. Sweet and Romantic.

It did start out a little blah, but I ended up staying up till 3am to binge watch this. There are a few things I would have liked better, but on the whole I rated it a 10 because it hit my romance vibe just right. You ought to give it a try.

For dramas I am having trouble with, or long dramas I go by the rule of 5. I watch the first 5 episodes then skip 5, watch another few and if still not into it skip another five and so on until the end. I am stubborn that way. If I start it I want to finish it, one way or another. If I am really not feeling it I will skip to the ending and if I like the ending I will then fill in the blanks. Crazy I know. I also have the bad habit of reading the last page of books I am uncertain of. Why waste my free time and money, in the case of books, for an ending that is not going to make me happy. LOL

I promise it gets better. By 10 things are moving along well and I believe it is 11 and 12 where they are a couple. There are 24 episodes so that is about right for these kinds of dramas. Might even be better than the odds.
Why do they make these FLs whiny and gullible. They are in college not elementary. That whiny voice is irritating.
I've been told that the whiny voice is considered attractive in China. There are certainly a lot of females who emulate that voice. It could also be the same voice over dubber. Who knows. I turn off the sound at times if I become too irritated. But I will admit I don't find it as hard to listen to as I find the Thai language. But that is of course the opinion of my Western ears not to be taken as a criticism of cultural differences.
As a whole I enjoyed the drama. Even if she acted whiny she was still a doctor...so not a dumb ninny.
