Totally respect that but I honestly really hope it doesn’t end up with him dead and her not changing anything. He can save her a million times but she can’t save him once? Why should she accept she can’t save him when he wouldn’t accept not being able to save her? Why should the ML always be self sacrificing but not the FL?

Absolutely loving the drama! However, I can't help but notice a recurring pattern where the male lead takes on the role of the primary rescuer, while the female lead, despite trying to rescue him, often finds herself in vulnerable situations (which, given the circumstances, I do understand). It would be empowering to see her actually save the male lead, even if it costs her. Seen a few dramas recently with the male lead always saving and female lead helpless. Hoping for a refreshing change.

This drama offers a refreshing twist, with the female lead as the supernatural entity, showcasing her strength without overshadowing her character with repetitive rescues by the male lead. In contrast to the prevalent trope of female characters constantly in need of saving (side eyeing very popular dramas), this series shines by portraying a strong female lead who stands on her own.

I would be happy to see this. Or at least I would much prefer this over him getting injured or dying again.

Fun drama so far. I hope she is able to save him and he doesn’t end up dying for a third time. She hasn’t really saved him at all yet and he’s saved her. Would be interested to see her die saving him and him going back in time to save her. Somewhat a reversal.

While it was generally a happy ending, the end of the journey was ridiculous. He got hit by a car and a bullet? And while of course shielding her. Called it yesterday because I’ve seen it so many times before. I would have loved it for once for her to be protecting him. All around I’m disappointed.

Something I really appreciate about this drama is they reverse tropes. It’s the ML seeking revenge over a misunderstanding even down to stabbing them. I’ve seen maybe over 5 dramas recently that had the FL seeking revenge instead. Kind of refreshing.

I think after the accident he wakes up and goes to try and rescue FL and gets shot. Really hoping not though cause that would be beyond ridiculous. I’m also tired of the man having to rescue the woman even seen with Soo Cheol in ep 15. Couldn’t Da Hye bite his arm a little sooner to try and help Soo Cheol instead of staying helpless?

I've seen a few people say they think ML will die or get injured in the end. I really hope they don't go this route. I've seen so many dramas where the guy gets injured or even dies in the end, sometimes while saving the girl. The last two dramas I watched had the guy die in the end. I'm getting tired of it. If they don't give a HE, I would rather see FL die. For one, I can't remember the last drama I watched where the FL actually dies in the end so I'd actually be surprised. Also, after ML has saved her so many times it would be refreshing to see her save him.

What happens in the novel with this scene

Honestly the whole surgery seems like a plot convenience. Same with her memory loss of ML from it. I get they have been hinting at ways to treat her illness, but would have rather seen her still have her illness than a miraculous cure followed by amnesia.

Hopefully he doesn’t. This would be the third drama where the ML dies or almost dies in the end that I’ve watched back-to-back.

I'm really over the typical plot of ML sacrifice or needs to save FL and getting gravely injured. It happens in almost every other drama I watch and is becoming incredibly predictable and boring. Happened in Perfect Marriage Revenge too. Why can't the FL hold her own or be the one protecting for once?

These writers love the trope of the male being supernatural and dying/disappearing in the end so much it has become incredibly predictable. Wish they did something else instead of the same thing every time.

This is the most typical route they could go. I right away thought of heartbeat. If they have him die or disappear I will be disappointed with the lack of originality.

I just really hope they don't go the route of so many other dramas and have the ML die or disappear and then maybe show up at the very end. It happens in almost all dramas that have a supernatural ML and I have a hunch it may happen here.

I feel like every k-drama I’m watching this year the ML gets stabbed, almost dies, or dies. Wish they switch it up.

Pretty good drama overall, although I wish they hadn't included the whole cliché of the FL getting kidnapped and the ML getting injured while saving her, which I've seen way too many times in Korean dramas. It would have been nice if she could have managed to get out of it herself or something I can't even remember the last time seeing — a gender reversal of this trope.
