The Blue Lightning squad needs to continue to build up their skull strength, step-by-step. There are no shortcuts. They will probably train with steel rods after Devil's Week, but it is possible that the steel rod training will be conducted offscreen.
I don't know much about any PTSD, but Nin Meng is clearly affected by the bus explossion that killed her brother…
Maybe the bus explosion put her in a time loop for awhile. Medical science does not have many answers for the deleterious effects of time loops, at least not in the era that Operation: Special Warfare takes place in.
