No, his mission is to help her fall in love but its going to turn out that they are childhood friends and they are actually going to fall for each other (again!) and he is going to choose to stay as a human and they are going to live happily every after until they tragically die together 5 minutes after he chooses to stay with her as a human, but then they'll ascend together as angels, and be a crime-solving angel duo in Season 2!
