I kept getting dejavus every time Jang Tae Gu does a throwdown on Lee Gyeong๐ I think he has maybe done the same exact move on him about 3 or 4 times the whole series. I would think that by the end Lee Gyeong would've learned not to fall for that anymore, but no. ๐
So, i'm finding that preview to ep 22 a bit weird. I don't think a middle aged ahjussi would tend to splash water on another guy when they're angry. Only women would do that. Lols, don't you think?
I've never watched a 100 ep drama before and I didn't really intend to, since it takes forever to be finished. But seriously only 16 ep in and the lies are already feeling like they're crumbling down. I don't know how they're going to drag it to 100 episodes ๐ I would've just given up already and be done with it.
I don't know about you, but 8 eps in I'm having a hard time liking anything about this drama. Probably because they haven't revealed anything at all, none of the characters are "likable" to watch. I rlly don't care what happens to them since I don't know wth is going on๐ Maybe I shld just stop watching.
No hate, just imho Shin Seul Ki still needs more acting lessons. That yawn in the scene when she was talking with WooJu in first ep looks so unbelievable๐
Lols. The only time I felt anything was thanks to PHS's acting at the last ep. For reals the drama only left me with Kopiko, and them standing together, either sighing or eating. There's so many things wrong with this show, but let me just mention a few that recently stuck: 1. The music and sound on this is so not there, it doesn't feel right. 2. I don't get why they give the male actors such bad wigs! They gave Na In Woo's character a caveman like wig, the other guy pretty girly long curls, and that second-rate evil guy long silky idol girl group locks finer than all the ladies' in this drama. 3. I get all other devil minions are just character fill ins, but seriously, this is an action drama, couldn't they have made a sound when struck & kill*d Instead it's all very underwhelming; one second they appear, another second they die and vanish silently. 4. Lastly, that ending, S2? Dude, thanks but no thanks.
In all honesty I really don't think budget productions should even attempt a complicated storyline that's beyond their capabilities to protray. It's hard enough trying to understand the story, but the execution really didn't help. Made everything really bad imo. The leads are decent, but I don't understand why LJL can't work on better dramas.
Seems like all the actors had to do was show up, gather around, and get fed plenty on set- save on personal food budget for the duration of the filming. ๐
I don't understand the technicalities of what makes a drama great, but as a layman watching this I understand why it's disappointing for a lot of people. Nevertheless I think it's no fault of the actors, they did well inspite of everything.
At surface level everythings looks good enough, but it's almost like that saying: "Much ado about nothing" They focused on too many unnecessary things, too many timelines, too many characters, that in actuality does absolutely nothing. I kind of felt like I was watching nothing- like each episode so far tells me nothing, and made me feel nothing ๐
Also, too many awkward surface level characters that either has no lines or too many lines, which also made the actors have useless screen times with meaningless silence giving each other unclear looks or just sighing away. The timing of things are just off, which may be atrributed to a bad writing, or lack thereof.
