This was a good series, started as a strong romance but went to a very depressing heavy road. I didnt like the lack of chemistry and nc scenes between leads but when I rethink about it, it was very good for a Chinese bl. There are a couple of things that annoyed me and they will be spoiler for you so dont read from now on if you didnt watch it yet:
1) I know they say there is no pride in love but come on!!! For a couple of episodes Qin Xiao and Tan Yin were so proudless and acted as a couple of losers that made me feel very angry. Especially Qin Xiao was like a stalker/pervert for a while... Well their acts ended up as a success but watching that period was painful lol. 2) A grown up deaf guy, he cant hear or speak at all and he doesnt know that he can get a hearing aid for himself? Ok lets say that he doesnt, someone else buys it for him, then he starts speaking from the first second he starts using it? And speaks flawless? Where is the reality come on? 3) I really didnt like the ending. It doesnt matter if its happy or not, what I didnt enjoy is that it felt very rushed and not well thought.
This was such a cute series. Great leads, very healthy relationship with amazing two young man. They both were pure characters, I loved them. I think their chemistry wasnt top tier but their acting was. I especially liked Jin Yun, he gave a great performance with zero voice, amazing! Also my fav character was Jonathan, I think he was the whole package lol. I enjoyed it overall but I must be honest its not as good as everybody talks about. The rate is pretty high, which is okay but I think there are better bls out there with lower rates. Well, this is my very personal opinion ofcourse.

I see your point but people can like things even when they have flaws, they like things with their flaws. But masterpiece means there is nothing wrong this production, not even a small piece of problem... My rate for this movie is also very high but masterpiece is another level. I hope you can see the difference here.
Honestly I was expecting a thriller/romance series someting like Manner of Death but we got only crime in this series. Romance was not there, chemistry was not a word that we can speak of and that single kissing scene was the worst I've ever seen. BUT if we forget that this is a bl, this was a good series with high quality and top tier acting! Acting was so good, seriously Hollywood good! I just wish they didnt add that bl detail so nobody expected anything in the first place. They sort of took something potentially awesome and made it average. A wasted masterpiece.
Ok I have so much to say about this series, I dont know how to summarize. I am obsessed with Sky and Nani and also with Saint and Shin as well. Whomever says this show is not a bl, dont believe in them. There is not any kissing scenes or the word 'lovers/dating' and thats the all reason they think this is not bl. This is the most bl of all the bls out there. The chemistry between Sky and Nani is something you cant find in most famous bl couples out there.
Whenever they say 'friends' in this series, just replace that word with 'lovers/boyfriends' and you are good to go! They were pure crazy lovers!!!
Saint and Nani's story and teacher/student relationship stories were amazing, I loved them. Also Chadjen! Omg Mark Pakin you are pure talent! But I will be honest and put my negative comments out there too.
First of all, it was so freaking long. 55 min 16 episodes is like a basic kdrama length and it is so much for this one. Also almost every character in this series were very unlikable, annoying, 'impossible to have a conversation with' kind of teenagers with anger issues which made me bored at some point.
Now this could be a spoiler so dont read if you'll mind!! I really cant believe all those horrible teenagers fought all day everyday and nobody did something. Or killer potential people walked around freely and never got caught by police or nobody even called police or they were beating people with metal sticks on day light and nobody said anything. And the biggest NO for me was when everybody tried to befriend and save Kent. Like lets be honest that guy wasnt like that just because of that gang. He volunteerly bullied his friends, stole from them, beat the s**t out of them and even tried to beat his teacher. He was a horrible person. He becoming a nice guy in one single episode was meaningless for me. In first episodes, Kent being a so called leader and terrorizing his friends was purely him not the gang's job. Anyways, whole Kent story is ridiculous. Other than that hello SKYNANI its nice to meet you, I will follow you from now on!!!
Watching this made me want to rewatch the original Thai version again. I think if you want to remake something, you should make it better than the original version, you should give the audience something more, OR at least the same quality with the original one. This one felt rushed and definitely not better. I just loved that the leads had the same vibe with Thai version. They even kept the hair style the same which I loved because I love Payu from Thai version.
Such beautiful and talented two young men! It was a very different experience watching them in different storylines and completely different characters on each episode. I personally prefer a continious storyline but this was an amazing chance to let them proove how talented they are. They were unrecognizable every episode both visually and personally. They looked, felt and even sound different. All I can say is BRAVO!
Could've been a nice cute series with 5-6 episodes but 12+1 is suuuuper long for this. Skipped a whole lot!! Also the guy who plays Pat is not a good actor, sorry. Didnt like this one. Pass if you dont have the whole time in the world.
Ok I feel very confused about this. Honestly it was very intense and serious and felt like a very good quality series but at the same time I feel like it could've been way better. It was indeed good quality but I think it wasnt well made. The best thing about this one was Pond's acting. Omg!!! What an amazing actor he is and why we didnt know about this? Also why isnt he more famous??? Also his character was the only loveble one, everybody else were very horrible. Anyways after all this had great potential but boring at the end of the day. Waste of a great talent and a good storyline.
Series and the movie.. They both are very very very good!! I personally enjoyed series a little bit more because it was more dramatic, emotional and it gave us a greater time to understand the characters and be a part of their life journey. The main difference is that one was more about the relationships and struggles of the main lead (gay man),but this one is more about the friendship of the leads. When I was watching the series I thought 'I wish we could've seen more of their friendship' because it was not enough, so this one gave me a great satisfaction after that. So yeah, I loved this one. Also I really love Kim Go Eun.
I loved this series. It was such a great watch. I had my complaints as usual such as: I wish there were more romance scenes or wow the last episode was a bit too much or it would've been better if Jack had a stronger character he annoyed me somtimes or god why good people are always silly??? But these are not important when I think how good this was. Yin is such a good actor and cute too but War!!! Omg he is literally a talent bomb!
