What was that finale? Did I watch all those episodes for that sht? If there is a season 2, this was a pretty good show. Especially I loved the music and the atmosphere. If there isnt a season 2, wtf?
Okay, so; I actually enjoyed this a lot BUT I still think it is slightly overrated. I like the storyline, its a well written revenge story. I love the characters. I love how they were not stupid, naive, weak and needed to be protected. I love how we could trust both of them while watching that they can protect themselves. I love watching power couples. I have no words for the chemistry and NC scenes. Lets be real, those were the most realistic NC scenes we've ever seen!!! Freaking amazing!! BUT I dont think this was a good love story as they tried to show us. Was that love? When did they fall in love? I didnt see a valid love, they were both mentally unstable and theirs wasnt a love. This is where the series lost me. Before I binged this I saw people commenting 'OMG how am I gonna live without these characters, I already miss them' etc. Seriously? I couldnt find any point to actually connect with them. Their relationship wasnt something deeply moved me too. Anyways again, I enjoyed it a lot, probably will vote 7.5-8/10. But still, overrated.
This was better than I expected but not as good as the rate here. Thing that I liked: I like the stoyline, I like how they combined the supernatural elements in the most realistic way possible. I very much liked Sung Hoon. He is very masculine and this is not something we are used to see in kdramas. This is not something I dont like or critique but Korean actors usually have a very soft ad feminine side so I loved the twist on Sung Hoon. Especially his voice makes such a difference. I also loved his character and his famil!!! They were legendary. I wish we get to see them more.
Things that I didnt like: I didnt like that the story was too slow. 12 episodes felt like 22. They made a bad scenario out of a good story. I didnt like Jung Yoo Min. Im not very familiar of her but I thought she was very expressionless. I aslo idnt like her character at all. I understand she made a decision to become a new person in her new life but she should've been better to Seo Do Guk from very beginning to end. She should've choose whom to treat bad or good. Also I didnt find leads chemistry very good too. I think Sung Hoon couldve use another partner with more energy and sparkles and this would've made a better couple. Im not gonna mention the evils of the show. They were all psychos, they were all so bad that I perfectly hated them lol.
There were so much to not like but I did enjoy the series overall somehow. I guess this makes it a good drama after all.
Thank you for this, I've been watching Kdrama since maybe 2012, and i actually stopped watching much of it from…
Im glad you liked it. Btw couldnt think of many good new kdramas but if you didnt watch you can try When the Phone Rings (not fluffy and joyful but VERY good) and My Royal Nemesis.

Ah feelings are mutual... I cant get the joy I used to get from kdramas as well. This is the closest one for the recent years. I cant say its as good as those legends but there is that after taste for sure. I hope you enjoy it.
question: I’m about halfway through ep2, and I want to drop this drama at this point. To all appearances at…
I understand what you mean(been there, felt that lol), but the more I watch her whole personality felt like a mask to protect herself in the society. Ofcourse she is a spoiled rich girl, thats part her own personality but that selfish annoying girl for sure changes when she actually starts feeling that she is loved and being cared by others. I can say she was hungry for attention that she never got growing up but that was a shell. I think you might like her in future episodes :)
This felt very nostalgic for me. If there are some older kdrama fans here like myself, you will understand what I mean. Back in those days, when Kdrama world was in its peak years, almost everything we get to watch was good. There werent these new age actors then, so every drama had a legendary actor. Whatever we watched had Gong Yoo, So Ji Sub, Jo In Sung, Park Min Young, Shin Min Ah, Gong Hyo Jin etc. Im giving so many examples to let you understand the feeling. Anyways, every series had someone legendary so the scenarios were equally good. After those years, recently I really am struggling finding a good kdrama or liking a young newly famous actor. Long for short, this felt amazing with this greatly written scenario and amazing cast. Ive always loved IU and Byeon Woo Seok was just as amazing with her. Everything was well made, side stories were well written, especially side couple, loved them!!! If I really need to find something I can say I wish Yi An was a stronger and a wiser prince. I didnt like that he always needed to be protected or he never was aware of the danger. But this is not a critique about the series this is my personal problem with the character lol. I wouldnt give it 10/10 but it was pretty good, eenkoyed it a lot! This comment was more like missing old kdrama days than commenting about the series lol!
I binged it with great excitement. It had pros and cons for me so let me say that Im gonna be honest, dont crush me dear fans First pros: I was really happy to see characters that I enjoyed before, I didnt realized I missed them. I was light, fun, easy to watch. In first season Thee was a bit weird to me, watching him was difficult. Now he obviously still a weird character but this time I watched it with appreciation. I was amazed how Pond portrayed such a cringy character this good. So I can say that I enjoyed him much more.
Now cons: to be honest there wasnt any solid storyline. This was obviously a hastly put-together series. They knew Me and Thee was a big hit and fans would watch whatever they'd make and they will make money out of any sequel, so they made something just like that... They didnt put much effort I guess. I seriusly wish there was a better scenario. And I wish we got to see Perth Santa more. This is just my personal wish, I simply love them lol.
Omg btw, the last episode was phenomenal!!!!! Loved every second of it!
This was a whole experience, a great journey. It almost was like watching 2 productions at once. I loved every episode. Yes, it was particularly enjoyable with the most artistic NC scenes but also acting and the scenario were amazing. In the storyline I have my questions and dislikes like I really didnt like the character of Zhang Zhun, of was that real love or passion maybe method acting? But even these mean that I really lost myself in the series. Loved it!
I think you felt drained because this is not a mature relationship, is a toxic relationship l, where he is a mature…
Honestly I usually enjoy watching toxic relationships too, which is one of my guilty pleasures lol. I dont approve them but enjoy watching them. This one didnt even feel toxic or maybe it was toxic in a boring way that it didnt get my attention. But yes, no chemistry or whatsoever...
I love Seo In Guk, I always loved everything he did. And I love slowburn romance, mature relationships etc. This series had a good story, a realistic one without any dramatic approach which is my style. BUT I couldnt see and chemistry, spark even some crumbles of emotions between the leads. It made me feel tired watching them with mimicless faces and emotionless conversations. That really doesnt suit Seo In Guk. This was a slight disappointment for me.
Agree with you, I think Phuwin is not very talented when it comes to dramatic scenes. Thankfully this was not…
I dont have to watch EVERYTHING of an actor to say my opinon about them. Thats the most meaningless thing ever. Plus I've watch several works of this pair. Plus even if I didnt, I can simply say 'I watched this one single series/movie and this actor's acting skills were horrible so I'll never watch anything they are in'. This opinion would be valid as well. Why do you think someone has to dislike a certain person to criticize them? I simply have real, mature opinions. I dont have personal feelings to actors that I dont really know. People should just grow up and accept that others have opions and their opinions might be different from their owns and not everybody has to love what they do love. I cant believe I still try to explain this simple/basic stuff to strangers here...
I love it when BLs are more than just a boy love story, when they have an actual plot and a serious tone. I love they make effort on bls as much as they do on regular series. Especially in Kdrama. I loved this one. I binged it!
