Could have been oh so much more. This series rates as one of the lower ends of the franchise. Went to far trying to be quirky leaving it with too many plot holes.
Was worth the one time watch just to say that I have watched a series in the franchise that needed to be checked off the list.
Worth the watch for the characters and the actors portraying them, well done. My only down side was that is just got to heavy and bogged down with all the political antics and strayed away from what made us watch in the first place. Chu Chu and her coroner skills. The ending was a bit rushed and that also detracted from the series as a whole. Would have liked a tad more after the fact to tie it all up neatly.
Overall, a goodly series that is well acted and nicely played.
Am disappointed yet again in a Live Action from a Donghua. It always astounds me as to why the makers change so much that there is not much left of the actual storyline. If it was that boring or horrible the series would not be popular in the first place..sigh..
They could not even get the white hair on Lou Manfeng correct let alone anything else. His hair is icon.
Not a minute in and already added this to my list of LA dropped.
So the basic gist is that I am at episode 6 and the whole premise behind this series is about to be thrust on us. This drama is 36 episodes, meaning for 30 more we have to sit through the suffering he will go through before some sort of ending is in sight...seriously? When I start a drama I usually stick it out to the end even if it turns out be a lemon. I truly am praying that it will not let me down and that these same said 30 episodes will have some sort of content besides filler.
Did not have high hopes going in thinking it would be full of fluff and the usual tropes. Much to my surprise I find it refreshing and innovative. Chu Chu is a wonderful character that is well played by the actor. The rest of the cast is doing well to showcase her talents. Well done. Looking forward to finishing the series. At episode 9, I am giving it an 8.5/10. Hoping this trend continues and the latter episode are not a let down and rushed.
Watched all three Gintama, am a huge fan of the series. Dororo is one of fave anime series and the live action was doable enough to be enjoyable. Mushishi is an amazing anime series and this version did it justice as far as character representation went. The story was a tad all over the place but one can look past that to be able to enjoy the acting. Laughing Under the Clouds is still a 'watch in progress' for me since I am still waiting to view the last two movies. It is a fun romp with some serious undertones. The acting was decent but the ML seemed to be trying a tad too hard to become his character. Still a fun watch that will enhance what you watched in anime form.
The rest of the series mentioned I have either not watched or have no interest in. Some I will bookmark for future perusal.
After watching 8 episodes, The characters are well fleshed out and able to stand enough on their own that we can get behind them. The historic aspect is presented with enough authenticity to legitimize the production value. Costuming is on point and thought out. The actors portrayals are thus far keep me from changing the channel. Overall, well done 8/10
If u still haven't finished yet, don't expect too much from the anime, its very different and they took a lot…
I have read the novel, including the sequel. Currently reading the manhua, watching the anime and now the live action. I watch adaptations from novels based on how closely they follow the source material. Dropped many for this same reason since they did not. This series started out not as bad as |I thought it might so going to give it the benefit of the doubt since I am only on episode 4. What comes next will wait to be seen.
Just finished the second part of the first half and call me impressed with some of the performances. Santa, Mika, Rikimaru, Nine, Patrick and oh my goodness the classic Chinese dancer Liu Yu, incredible. Keyu and Oscar are going to have to bring their A game to get back into the A group.
Finally getting around to watching. Am a tad disappointed that it did not start with TS as a child as he should have been when he left to go to school. Also his father left before he went. These points are somewhat crucial to the structure of the story in terms of his mindset as well as it is supposed to show his growth from a very young age. While i appreciate artistic license, I wish that the novel had been followed a bit more than it is. From a entertainment stand point it is fairly well done. Much can be improved upon. The acting is doable, our boy has gotten better since |Untamed. His expressions are a bit more controlled.
Be patient , he will get there, it takes time. He is a lot more powerful than every one thinks just because he…
He will. Not sure as to how close the series is following the Novel since \I am only episode 2. But from the way it is looking he is on par for levelling up soon enough.
Is this any good? I want honest opinions. I am a fan of Xiao Zhan but I don't want to check it out only because…
I am only on the second episode. As far as the story line is concerned it is not too bad in following the Novel. I have not dropped it yet so that says a lot since I base all of my opinions on how well the series follows the source material. The acting is decent, the environment is set up well. In other words... enjoy.
