I really don't know why they didn't just make this an original story. The book people are going to be very unhappy.
The book isn't popular and also when they wanted to film it like novel, people were so upset about it that made them cancel full filming and changing it to new crew and story.
Also novel readers until now enjoys this adaptation than original one
Haven’t seen/heard anything about the 20th, so we’ll see.
Light in the dark postponed their official ceremony to 20th day of filming. I saw even worse. The legend of rosy clouds didn't have official page monthes after filming ended 😂
I didn't liked novel that much. (Didn't read it completely) and cus of Xie wei and yuning (they were actors or pervious team of this drama) I know how FL's character wasn't likeable for me who likes power girls with good amount of self care and she was... awful...
Their lelationship was toxic and that's why it didn't worked out and they changed entire crew and cast. The novel was fiction historical but drama things like pure tang dynasty drama and more importantly drama is ML centric.
They changed completely of everything so if you read the novel don't compare it with drama cus you will be disappointed if you liked the novel. Mabey some major events are still in story but don't expect some thing like copy paste of novel. No. Everything is new and changed. Do you want to read the novel? Actually I think it is better not. Just enjoy procsess of waiting. Hopefully cut it is historical drama, we can saw it little sooner than fantasy dramas. I hope so.
Trust Deng wei. He sufferd so much cus of LYF and I know he knows to well what kind of crew deserve him better and what kind of story is good to chose.
They were so secretive in past two days that not even a glimpse of actors were seen. It is good. Make us curious about it but even if I know he hates dapais, I want to see him again I already miss his Yin Ge Zhi...
From the synopsis, it seems even the core areas of the plot has changed. Does anyone know if they're going to…
Last thing bout he character I saw, she take dead prostitute's name but she perform stories fir others like opera thing. Before that she enters ML's army to gather information and even helps him little bit.
They changed so much of the story. We can say it is more like new story with just same names.

It is normal. When my other boy Chen zhe yuan was started filming light in the dark, there were photos everywhere and everyone knew who was actors but they announced cast officially few more days later.
They haven't even announced the leads or started filming and people are already complaining about the position…
The team is doing poor job and not announcing something official when there is a lot black comments and haters talking nonsense about Deng wei. Second, Drama is male centric but cus novel is FL centric some people are getting around making rumors that made fans angry. This is least they can do. It is not important for inter fans but in china this is important detile. There is no official announcement and all names going around is just rumor. The only actress declined and announced she don't want to play in this drama is Liu hao cun. Other names are just melons some made by YXS accounts to make people think oh no one wants Deng wei 🤦🏻♀️
