This drama is based of my favorite Donghua which I followed it for 6 years and re watched again and again. You don't Know how the characters backstories were painful to watch and how much I cried for some of them. My most favorite couple and their stories is firstly YM and GJ's couple story, Then CY and LYT and lastly season 5 of anime's couple which played by MZJ and SC.

I hope they are faithful to Donghua. I can't wait to see this drama. Still I can't believe they made my most favorite donghua to tv series and cast my favorite actors to play my favorite characters. Specially I was really shocked and cried from joy cus they chose CY as Fugui.

From what I saw from trailers, Backstories are same as donghua. But what they did with present time story line which is most important thing about story? Is YM going play as So So to? Or they chose another actor for So So? But I didn't find anyone with So So's name in resent cast...

Yep! It's not like we can separate their character to She is good he is bad thing. That's why they are more like normal human. In other drama's I mostly dislike amnesia parts but here is really beautiful and cute as well. RR thought he loves her cus of things happened between them in past but when he forget everything, she discovers how deep his love was for her and SYS found his true-self either.

The story is really well written and I love how it is focused on main cp's relationship.

They changed story's pov from RR to SYS in the series which I found more better. They added full backstory too. His character is really complicated. Not a green nor black, Not even sure he is gray. That's why I fell in love with novel and his interesting character.

Chapter by chapter it's became more better and better. I can't wait to watch it too.

It's kinda complicated. Ran Ran is small girl with sick body. she don't have spiritual powers but she is actually a divine tree's fruit which fell before full growing up and some villager found and rise her. There were two fruit on the tree. People though one of them is Mu Qing Ge, The devilish women who wanted to destroy word with her evil plans and using demonic spirit powers. Other one is her little sister who helped three sects to capture and kill MQG but accidentally died in battle.

One day, Three stranger came to village and seek some help from ran ran to eat some food before going back. Firstly let me say Ran Ran is smart girl. She is not powerful but she is smart and fast learner. Any way...

One of the strangers is tall man who hide his face but accidentally she saw how ugly he is. His face is like melted and there is nothing like nose or things like that there. (they changed this. It was in novel. Now it's seems like they changed to sealing spiritual power thing.) This tall man with ugly face is SYS. Before he was MQG's student and he hated her so much. He was one of the people who helped three sect to capture MQG. But MQG before dying put some curse on his face so his face became like this.

Strangely SYS who was man of few talks and in this past 20 years never talked more than 10 sentences in total, Talked so flirtatious with this little girl and even he said he want to rebuild his sect and want Ran Ran as his student. So he can cure Ran Ran. Ran Ran became his student but why his master always look and talk with him strangely? It's like he is hiding a lot of thing under his cold and poker face. (And let me Assure you, SYS is not kind of teacher who is kind and gentle to their student. He is tough and cold. Even with RR but maybe little better than others but, He is like I'm teaching you 2+2 but when it's exam time, He trows you to evil lake and asks you to still alive until morning. Next moment he is gone😂

No they dub their actors cus of actors accent. Some of them can't speak in mandarin but it's been 5 years this dubbing thing is decrease and being less than before. In modern dramas we no longer have any dubbing thing.

They have similarity but not exactly look like each other

Yes they are didn't make it exactly like novel and there is few changes but the major plot is still same.

This drama is S class project (in Iqiyi's dramas we don't have higher than S and S class IQiyi drama is same level with Other channels S+ dramas) and based on Iqiyi's announcement, They are going to release this drama in Q1 of 2025. This drama is still in preparation and they are working on CGI.

I think there is some kind of misunderstanding going around:
Filming period: 2023-Oct-12 to 2024-Feb-19

This drama's filming finished just about 2 month ago. Director of this drama is not really into fussing and posting so much things about his works, So I can say if you aren't follower of actors, You wouldn't know about it But in China things are different.

This drama is one of the top three expected unaired cdramas and SYS is most favorable character among unaired dramas characters too. reservation reached 500000 and soon it will be a million. It's just they didn't release official material for this drama until IJoy conference. Now even iqiyi's CEO, Founder etc are promoting it too. it's kind of evil spirit. This is kinda changed. In novel MQG seal it in other place and this evil spirit made SYS more devilish and based on what she saw on heaven's book, If SYS became successful, He will kill a lot of people and in the end he is going to be Immortal demon but he will be lonely until the end. So she wanted to change his destiny and protect him. In novel, When she was Dying she put some kind of spell on SYS's face so his face changed to something horrific. Seems like they changed to more complicated thing.

I think is more better than before. I'm kinda tired of group of handsome boys fall in love with one girl then in the end become heartbroken or dead trope. Siren was pure character that need some happy time for himself too. So, I'm happy for him.

Despite changing names, I think the story is not going to be same as anime either and there would a lot of changes in story-line, But I think it's going to be special. I have this kind of feelings about this drama.
I watched some of bts and seems like ML's story is like what happened in anime and they are faithful to original story but for DW and RW's characters there is a lot of changes.
Anyway we are going to have some material in 23'th.

It had simple story with good actors. If it were more detailed and maybe as drama it would be more dramatic and better. Anyway, I watch it cus of Jian ci and I really loved his character. It was fun to watch But I really didn't like Jin Jin. She was so selfish...

Is it me? I think they cut some of Moli's scenes. I saw more than what it was in Bts XD

But I agree with you. New Character names are awful. They should think more about it. ML is Qi Zheng and SML is Zheng Shi... It's like three years old child naming her/his toys...

They have copyright issues. The Japanese side don't let them to use original Chinese names. So for getting license they changed whole character and drama's name.

They didn't release Spirealm in official way and official release only have 38 episodes.

It wasn't 50 eps from beginning. Cus of new law dramas can't have more than 40 episodes. This drama didn't have any official page to say how much episodes are going to be. They just put random number.
